Obi Toppin and now it’s time to get rid of Tom Thibodeau and trade Evan Fournier. Plus Bob Myers should be hire to replace Leon Rose.
This game shows that our problem is defense. We have 3 starters who scored 20's and 30's and we still lost and were not competitive in the second half. And we continue to give up 60-70 points in the first half. Even with Mitch and Quigley we were giving up too many points. We have had a defensive collapse in the last 4-6 weeks and a lot of that, like last year, is from not guarding the perimeter. Nesmith scored 14 points in the 3rd quarter, a lot on 3s. So OG should help us and be a step in the right direction. Also, he is a much more efficient scorer than RJ. So we should be fine on offense. And we will be more athletic.
Precious Achiuwa is a better backup PF than Taj or Hart. Hart can go back to the backup 3 (too short as a backup 4), Achiuwa moves to the backup 4. This move gives the bench some size.
This game just lets you know that OG was what they needed. Not having that lockdown defender on this squad is killing us and it let us know two other things. One, Donte made IQ expendable. He basically filled IQ role and is better and cost less. Secondly they needed RJ to be a 3 and D guy and he refused. Now they have that player that can guard the best player. Win win for us
Randle is a handicap. yes he is a scorer, but he will never be the best defender on the knicks or 3rd or fourth. We all now know Barrett's migrane came from.

As I said, Dante just need some plays and some playing time to get back into the groove with the other Villanova boys.Love the additiong of OG and Precious. Defense, height, and more flexibility with the rotation has improved tremendously with just these two additions to the team. Now we need to see how Grimes plays off the bench.
