I dont understand. Surely we could have done grimes and a pick over IQ? IQ was one our best on off players..

  2. nofaplove-it

Same man. He’s gonna thrive in Toronto. Just sad to see him go

  3. Snuggle__Monster

IQ’s star was shining way too bright for this team. He’s going to be great for another team in the long run and get the contract he absolutely deserves.

Question: Is there any way they could have traded Grimes instead of Quickley???? Or would Barrett + Grimes have been too little?

IQ’s shot creation was so good and underutilized imo. I love Grimes too but OG’s skillet covers that loss

  5. It was inevitable. IQ wanted a starting spot and he wasn’t gonna resign unless we gave him starter money and he was coming off the bench. He gets his starting spot and more then likely long term deal with Toronto. Sad to see him go but loved watching him in the Knicks uni

  6. MoooonRiverrrr

Loved this pick when it happened. Loved everything he did for the team. Damn. This one sucks

  7. SquishyFrogMan

Raps just got their next Fred Vanvleet. All-star in a couple of years

  8. benewavvsupreme

I hate it man this such a stupid fucking trade, losing IQ is crazy

  9. same man, this one really hurts

IQ was and still will be my fave Knick

  10. Kitchen_Director3429

Sucks so much man. Absolutely bummed. I really hope there’s a reason to this move

  11. Recognition_Tricky

I think he was really good, but you gotta give to get

  12. TracksuitBilly

Wish we paid iQ over Hart or DDV but oh well. Wish him the best.

  13. MannyIsAlive

Overrated. Y’all do this with everyone of our players 🤷‍♂️ You’ll get over it

  14. 22pabloesco22

This is a huge loss IMO. I really hope we have other moves coming up, because our O is going to suffer, specifically the 2nd unit. Both RJ and IQ played together on the 2nd unit and were a big chunk of the offense.

Arguably the best draft pick the Knicks have made this Decade. Sad to see him go. Go get that bag Quick!💰

For those saying we should have just shipped Grimes and more picks… I don’t think there’s a chance TOR takes that. Why would they?

A silver lining here might be more opportunity for Grimes. With a lineup that no longer has to feed an inefficient and non-play making Barrett and replaced with a 3 and D guy for whom you don’t need to direct a chunk of your offense toward this might allow Grimes those extra looks to see him return to his best form.

Yo raps fan here. You guys will love OG. Hard worker, all world defender and a class act. He’ll thrive.

Question about iq, how’s his pick n roll game?

  18. Woodstonk69

IQ gonna light it up there. I’m hella sad to see him go, but I’m really happy he’ll have the opportunity to show the league what Knicks fans have seen in him for years.

    Quickley will be missed ;’(
    I’ll still rock his jersey

Quick compared to OG has a higher bpm(+2.0>-1.2), vorp(0.7>0.2), ws/48(.135>.074), per(16.9>12.6), net rating(+8.2>+1.8), pie(12>8), epm(+1.2>+0.9), dpm(2.26>1.66), and on/off(+12.2>+8.6). While the only thing og is higher in is rpm wins (.77>.75) which is a minuscule difference in this stat. “Oh it’s about the fit, quick and Brunson would be a too small backcourt”, out of any 2 man combination on the Knicks, Brunson and quick had the second best net rating out of anybody at +11.6

I hope he gets a serious bag, like 30+/yr, now that it’s not our books he’s on.

I will miss him more than any other former Knick.

  22. Lazarus704

Raptors were never gonna do this trade without Quick sadly

  23. Lazarus704

Once a Knick, Always a Knick, he brought a lot of joy when he played and I’m
excited for him in Toronto because he is going to be a star
