There’s been some comments on here downplaying OG’s shooting, but in the [very good KFS podcast about the trade](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=six-Eh-XxLk), Macri noted that OG’s corner 3 shooting is impressive. I wanted to look into those numbers a bit, and it looks like he was on the money.
\- [This season,](https://www.nba.com/stats/players/shooting?Season=2023-24&dir=D&sort=Corner%203%20FGM) OG is shooting 44.3% from the corners, and is tied for fourth for the most makes in the league
\- [Last season](https://www.nba.com/stats/players/shooting?Season=2022-23&dir=D&sort=Corner%203%20FGM) he shot 45% from the corners, and was fourth in makes
\- [The season before that](https://www.nba.com/stats/players/shooting?CF=PLAYER_NAME*E*anun&Season=2021-22&dir=D&sort=Corner%203%20FGA) he shot 46% from the corners
Losing IQ sucks (though he may have been gone for nothing this offseason), but OG is a massive upgrade over RJ, and provides the starters with exactly what they needed, which is All-NBA level wing defense and above average shooting on volume from 3, all of which will make life easier for Brunson and Randle.

For comparison, RJ shot 33% over the last 3 seasons lmao. Also fwiw, Grimes was 5th in made corner 3 last season, shooting 45%
I don’t listen anymore but Macri must be thrilled. He has wanted OG forever and he was able to get rid of RJ in the process.
OG is about to be like Thibs as far as that podcast goes. One negative comment about him and Macri will just be grouchy for the rest of the episode.
Thibs’ hand must be shaking uncontrollably all day
I’m so hyped for OG. He’s an actual wing too which I feel like we haven’t had in forever.
Alot of Knicks fans exposed themselves showing they know jackshit about the rest of the NBA and just overrate their own players
A lot has been made of OG’s self creation or lack thereof, but I’d love it if his 3pt attempts just absolutely balloon. The Raptors haven’t had good spacing since Kawhi was there. With a better team with two offensive engines in Randle and Brunson, if he goes from 5.5 3pa/36 to something like 8, but maintains his efficiency, that’s a massive offensive weapon for this team on top of his defensive abilities.
I don’t understand the logic behind a long term Quickly extension at all. We would cap out to be locked into a roster we can all clearly see wasn’t getting past the first round or 2nd round.
And to pay 100mln+ for someone that you can’t start.
Folks don’t make sense
The knicks needed to trade IQ the moment Thibs decided he did not want him to start with Brunson. IQ is a player someone would be willing to offer $30 mil in the offseason, and its bad resource management to pay that amount to a non-starter.
OG anunoby numbers in 11 games without Siakam this season : 22pts 7rebs 3 assists 1.8 steals and 1 block on 46% shooting
To people who think a 25 year old potential is only a role player
You gotta be kidding me
He’s been second fiddle to Siakam for years on top of fvv chucking shots
Most stocks per game this season:
4.6 — Jaren Jackson Jr.
[gap]
3.5 — Anthony Davis
3.4 — Brook Lopez
3.2 — OG Anunoby
Jaren Jackson has more BPG alone than any player has BPG + SPG this season.

OG played much better without Siakam, who knows he maybe better with Randle
