While deuce is not IQ, I love the fact that the Knicks are actually making a commitment to giving him more playing time and opportunity.
If nothing else, it improves his value for additional trade scenarios as well as give him a chance to carve out a bigger role on the second unit.
IQ wanted and deserves to be starter in this league (IMHO) so there was no chance he resigned with the Knicks in the offseason. If we make a trade for a guy like Jordan Clarkson to play along side Deuce and add scoring to the second unit, we offset the IQ productivity loss.
I'm honestly getting annoyed with the complaints about this trade and contract extension. "We need another move." Regardless of how you feel about the trade, or the extension, stop crying about it as if teams are only allowed one trade per year. Start complaining after the trade deadline. That 11th hr is when most trades (big trades) happen anyway.

McBride is a good player. He plays hesitantly in the thibs system. Thibs does not have a good offensive identity. Not enough ball movement, really bad pick and roles players(cause center can't hit 3s, so the P/R not really respected) and players don't move around much. So McBridge may not flourish as much.
Knicks need a super star center that can hit the 3.
I love how Indy used toppin. Coming off the bench and trusting him to defend and contribute. Thibs is a major weakness in the Knicks.
