Various quotes from Steph’s post-game last night re: his approach to trying to find his shot in the 1st Q, the impact of not having Draymond on the defense & him personally on offense, and his thoughts on assessing what the team is capable of going forward

Steph’s a great leader. Despite the adversity this team has faced and the many challenges this season, he doesn’t try to complain or throw anyone under the bus. He’s always optimistic and believes in his guys, and he looks forward no matter what. He’s the reason we might still make playoffs despite everything that has happened this season.

  2. draymond-

MDJ has so far done such a horrible job with the roster but he now has a window to fix it with some trades.

MDJ found amazing talent across the roster but very little high level talent. our second best player can’t be Podz on most nights

It’s funny because during our win stretch, people were saying how we are doing so much without him and we don’t need him at all. Now that we are losing and it’s clear he’s very much needed, people are blaming him for being suspended and not being able to play. However overall the warriors made a mistake by signing him to a new contract lol.
He does so much defensively but there’s also so much he does that has impact on the offensive end. You can’t just insert JK instead of him and expect Steph and Klay play the way they did with him, he’s so good with setting screens and getting them those open looks- if we don’t get him back soon then it’s going to become an issue. It’s also an issue from a trade perspective, they can’t properly reevaluate who should get traded (even though I think the answer is clear) without him playing for a good stretch of games.
I remember a bunch of bay area reporters wondering if he’d be back in the starting line up once he’s back, absolutely laughable. I don’t even care who’s out, he needs to be there to get the offense going.
