Nah. Had no idea he was the best post up player in the league lmao.

  2. GooseMay0

More than what I was anticipating. But him being a number 3 option fits perfectly.

  3. AcientMullets

His game has rarely been the issue with him, but I’m glad he’s playing as well as he is.

  4. holographoc

Nope. WAY fucking more. I knew he’d be good, but he completely changes the way this team operates and it’s incredible.

  5. Jellybeansmw

Much more considering his 3s aint falling like 2 month allready 😀

  6. International-Chef33

No idea until he’s in a duckboat in the summer

He’s honestly the best player this season on our team. Casuals would disagree. But KP has been a matchup nightmare and a great rim protector averaging 1.7 bpg. The Jays have been great and so has DWhite and holiday but KP is like I said a matchup nightmare which doesn’t mean he’s a better player than the Jays but he’s def more difficult to defend. Literally a 7’2 guy who could do damn near everything. And considering how strong our roster is, teams struggle defending us and a large part of it is cuz of KP. He literally fks up defenses like even if you go zone then he can kick it out to one of the Jays, DWhite or Jrue. Like a post player like him is literally a 1 in a million so yeah a unicorn.

  8. Talent was never the concern. Was always about his health.

His efficiency on post-ups is insane. Looks completely unguardable when he gets a smaller guy switched onto him in the high or low

I felt that he would be much better than he was in Dallas given that he has 5 other guys that can all score 15 to 20 points on a nightly basis. I didn’t expect him to be this dominant in the post though

  11. I follow KP since NY days and he always was one of the most impactful players on all teams that he played, when KP is on the floor it changes other teams offense and defense, there are some players that are less impacted by KP presence but those are players that almost nobody can really affect so no big deal.

KP has his fair share of health, bad management, weird coaching issues but he is the player that always makes other better and this is what most people in NBA do not understand about him – just his presence give boost to all other players on the floor, he just unlocks other players, not many guys in NBA are like that and the main reason for this is that his skillset is unique, very few players in the league can compete with him so wherever you dump him on the court KP will always compliment others instead of taking something away from them and he also is a 100% team player.

Honestly more. Thought he was just a spot up shooter. Didn’t think he was a good defender or post player.

I think it’s fair to say he’s surpassed who most people (that stopped following him in DAL and bought the “injured/diva” narrative) imagined he was at this point in his career. I think alot of BOSTON ONLY fans missed his time in WAS, outside of the games he played us and figured he was who he was in DAL still or never going to stay healthy.

But what I’m most impressed with how the team gels around him. Not every star is a fit, as we’ve seen. But Kristaps fits better than any star we’ve had here, since Horford – or KG. I’m so glad he clicked with the Jay’s and their chemistry has been great and I’m glad Joe has incorporated him well so far. I hope to see even more post ups/playmaking in the playoffs and even more chemistry + good health. Sky is the limit if they can stay hot through April and maybe add another piece to keep guys fresh.

I’m new to NBA. Live in Australia and started watching the game late last season. Absolutely hooked and love the Celtics. I don’t know anywhere near as much about the game as what you guys do, but to me porzingis has been the best player this season. He’s an animal at both ends.

  15. AirJordan6124

The problem of our team the past 2 years was our bigs were not good enough offensively so teams like Miami can put all the pressure on the Jays. But having Porzingis it’s a different story.

  16. PinoNoirAsh

i think we can all agree that he was one of the missing pieces, tingus with this crew is quite something

  17. tonylouis1337

I’ve been massively impressed. He’s the big revelation for this team this year. I’m surprised people aren’t super vocal about him getting in the All-Star game. Maybe it’s because it seems like a given?

Ever since NY drafted him I thought he was great. I Remember seeing him nail 3s for the Knicks and thinking this guy can play.

He is so much better for the Cs than I was expecting though. He will lead us to a chip.
