MASSIVE Report Reveals Celtics PURSUING Trade…

Could the Boston Celtics be looking to make some key additions the Boston Celtics have the best record in the NBA at 26 and six and then the off season they got a traded player exception that they could use in trades from losing Grant Williams in the off seon and with

That the Celtics could use it to make a key addition to help out with this rotation we’ll be breaking down a Bleacher Report article looking at three trade targets that the Celtics could go after and three possibilities of their fit Styles and how I like them fitting

In with this Celtics team welcome back to Celtics digest I’m Bruce valz but before we get into any Boston Celtics content I would like to say that roughly right around 79% of our viewers are not subscribed and would greatly appreciate it if you hit that big old red subscribe

Button and join the Celtics digest family we’re getting closer and closer to our goal of 3,000 subscribers every day so if you guys want to make sure you stay up to dat with daily Boston Celtics news hit hit that subscribe button you definitely won’t regret it but let’s

Dive into the news at hand today so make sure to grab a snack and get ready to go as today’s going to be a jam-packed episode as we dive in looking at the Celtics best targets and this is from an article looking at leiser report like I

Mentioned it came out today so it’s fresh and brand new news diving in looking at every NBA team’s top three trade targets by Zach Buckley thank you Zach for starting off the New York wri with a great article to dive into if you guys want to check out this article to

Look at plenty of other teams’ top three trade targets you can but today we’re just going to be expl exploring the Boston Celtics best targets and here we go let’s dive in so they say that the top three targets for the Boston Celtics are cheddy Osman from the San Antonio

Spurs John conar from the Memphis Grizzlies and a guy that I really like and Andre Drummond from the Chicago Bulls the article says from Zack the full strength Celtics arguably have the association’s best top six or even top seven if you’re a fervid Sam Hower fan like myself so they might just snooze

Their trade season and wait to see what the buyout Market has to offer then again the back end of their Reserve rotation looks pretty bleak so they might take a look a little bit more of a proactive approach they don’t have much in the way of wing depth which is why

Osman and kcha are top the list both offer some dot connecting jack of all trades appeal and either could slide into the eighth or ninth spot in the rotation Drummond an obvious trade candidate should the Bulls ever blow it up would offer some great paint protection to a center mix that might

Need more Insurance giv christops porzingis his injury issues and now Horford’s age 37 and I like what Zach puts out here going into detail explaining why we could use each of these three players personally I am a big Sam Hower fan so I do believe that

Sam Hower is a great piece but a guy like shedy Osman and John Contra could easily slid in slide in and play that eighth to nth role while Andre drumond El could be a nice backup center due to our lack of Center depth even though guys like nus kada and Luke cornette

Have kind of started to emerge in the last couple games so is Andre dummond in his capability in playing and we’ll dive into that in a little bit but first I want to dive into talking about the two other guys and looking at the wing depth that we were talking about so let’s

Bring up cheddy osman’s stats so far this year for the San Antonio Spurs he’s played in 32 games and is averaging 7.6 points 2.3 total rebounds and 1.8 assists shooting 46% from the field 35% from three and 67% from the free throw he’s playing on a San Antonio Spurs team

Who is not the greatest and cheddy Osman is kind of I would even call him a veteran in this league but for this San Antonio Spurs team filled with a bunch of young guys from Trey Jones from Victor W bayama to sandre M Kelly All the Above they just have kin Johnson

Deon Vel there’s just so many young guys on the San Antonio Spurs team chedy Osman has kind of been a backup just role playing small forward for them just helping out with whatever they need not getting the greatest stats and the greatest points for this San Antonio

Spurs team but but could be an effective Wing Defender and kind of like the article said Jack of B all trades for a team like the Boston Celtics who could use that kind of wing depth we already have some wings in that and Lamar Stevens and OA Bret and we’ve seen them

Have their flight spots in some of these games recently o’sa Bret and Lamar Stevens when they’ve had to start have been fantastic for the Boston Celtics but they haven’t made so much impact plays for the Celtics bench that some fans would like to see maybe a guy like

Shedy Osman could be that new life sign a life guy that could come in and be a solid defensive stopper if we want to look at another guy that the article mentioned they mentioned John conar who plays for the Memphis Grizzlies who’s been kind of slotted toward the end of

Their rotation this season John Contra has played in only 25 games and is averaging 3.6 points 4.1 total rebounds and 1.4 assists off of 38% field goal shooting a career low compared to his career which is 47 7% 32% from three which is low and a free throw percentage

High of 77 personally I don’t really watch that many Memphis grizzli as games but John Contra seems like just a nice defensive Wing stopper to help out on the bench who Could Be an Effective shooting guard or small forward for the Boston Celtics but I don’t think that’s

Necessarily what we need is I think a guy like Spa huk kind of already plays a similar role to JN conar and kind of would be getting a similar play style or a similar time and even though JN conar has been on a great team like the Memphis Grizzlies and has had some

Bright spots in his shooting capability his shooting States aren’t great this year and if the Memphis Grizzlies expect to be a solid team with John Morant being back since they have been since he has been back I expect the Memphis Grizzlies to kind of contend and try to

Win with a player like John conar even though he’s been slotted towards the end of the rotation he could be a solid and effective piece to help out the Memphis Cruisers in this late playoff push if he does get the Shine from this team so I think that the Boston Celtics looking at

A guy like John Contra isn’t that bad but I don’t think takes us A step above and I don’t think it’s useful for the tpe but the guy that I like the most out on this list that I want to discuss is Andre Drummond now if you guys don’t

Recall Andre Drummond since Nicole vich has been out has stepped up tremendously for the Chicago Bulls in his last two games posting fantastic outings of 25 and 24 re 25 points and 24 rebounds 25 rebounds and 19 points he’s been just absolutely a beast for the Chicago Bulls

Team and if the Chicago Bulls do look to blow it up I would definitely like the Boston to sticks to inquire on Andre Drummond this year he is averaging seven points 8.1 total rebounds and 0.5 assists 54% shooting from the field 0% from three and 56% from the free throw

So he’s even doing better from free throw doing all right from the field because he’s just shooting around the rim but he is doing what he’s supposed to do getting those rebounds and dominating even in when he is starting for the Chicago Bulls now personally I

Think the Chicago Bulls will blow it up I think we’ve all heard the rumors of the Zack LaVine trades I believe that he will be moved by I don’t know mid January maybe the start of February and then we’ll see how the Chicago Bulls look they decide to move off of guys

Like d Roz and andich and go the full tank I could see guys like Andre Drummond and Alex cruso also being auctioned off as well just because they could be viable pieces to help out a bench to compete for a championship and I think Andre Drummond definitely could

Help out the Boston Celtics playing backup big like at the said porzingis has had already some injury history so far we already see at the start of the Season he had the plantar fasciitis which he had to set out of the feea World Cup then he has the left calf

Strain with the Boston Celtics which he’s been nurturing sitting out on rest days and back to backs so it is tough to see that and with Al Horford just getting older and old older and having to rest on the back Tob backs we do need a solidified backup big luk kette

Stepped up tremendously in the game that he started just a couple nights ago for the Boston Celtics and nameis kada averaging a double double throughout the season and putting up two career triple doubles in that Western Conference road trip definitely helped his role to get

Up there as well but a guy like Andre drumond has that Championship experience has that NBA experience better than Luke cornette and name is kada does and I think could be a better option for the Celtics to bring in obviously all three of these guys the Boston Celtics could

Go after that we talked about in this article or guys that the Celtics could go after with the traded player exception which they got from Grant Williams with losing him to Dallas Mavericks this off season person I don’t see the Celtics using a bunch of their smaller contracts and guys like Banton

And brette and Sima huk with a couple picks to upgrade I think the Celtics will ultimately use the traded player exception with a couple of second rounders that they got in the draft class to get a solidified backup piece let me know what you guys think in the

Comment section down below though I want to know out of the three guys that we mentioned cheddy Osman John Kar and Andre Drummond let me know who you guys think the Boston Celtics should get out of the three of those and if you want to rank them personally let me know what

You guys’ rankings are I go with Drummond first cheddy Osman second and John conar third personally I think cheddy Osman just brings a little bit more depth at the wing position he’s a little bit bigger than John Contra can be and John Contra shooting stats just aren’t the greatest this season but let

Me know your guys’ thoughts and opinions in the comments section down below I greatly appreciate it thank you guys so much for tuning into this episode of Celtics digest I’m Bruce valz and I’ll catch you guys in the next one peace out

  1. I don't agree with the guy who said we need to make a trade. I like the players they have on the team and Queta and Kornet are doing a good job. If they're going to bring in somebody else, it should be someone they can depend on getting 12-14 ppg off the bench. If not, just leave it alone. They're good.

  2. Brad should be interested in players like Lonnie walker, Christian woods or Drummond 💯💯 they don’t cost much

  3. Not sure Drummond is a good fit for this squad. He does two things great and everything else horribly. He can grab boards and he can score at the rim… but out bigs need to be a little more versatile than that and at least capable of making the offens work in space. Drummond is atrocious defensively, and would be exposed every time down the floor in space. If you can get him for anyone outside the top 8 sure… but I’m not giving up anyone whose been getting relatively steady minutes and def not one of our other backup bigs to get him.

  4. Honestly, i don't see us bringing in a player at the trade deadline barring injury and the severity thereof.

I see why some would think we need depth at PF/C with Horfords age and the injury history of Porzingis. However, Coach Mazz seems to be taking a page out of the Coach Popavich handbook when it comes to giving those 2 adequate rest and time off in instances of back to backs etc. I believe as the season wears on the most important thing he can do to help this team reach its goal of a Championship is making sure those 2 players get adequate time off by either starting one and resting the other one night and rotating them that way or by simply splitting their minutes equally in games where both play.

Ive noticed since the first minor Injury Porzingis suffered as a Celtic which caused him to miss a few games that Coach Mazz seems to be very mindful of not rushing him back and giving him a game off here or there as he has Horford. One thing about Horford tho is he may be getting up there in age he keeps himself in top physical shape year in and out to the point where im starting to think the man has found the fountian of youth so i dont worry sbout him as much as i do Porzingis.

I see no scenerio in which id be willing to part with any of our young guys that have played well off the bench such as Hauser or Pritchard. I love both of those players and i love the fact that they know their role and go out night in night out like soldiers willing to do anything that helps the team win. Those guys are Celtics through and through and in this day and age that means something.

I dont want any splash moves that could upset the chemistry we have right now. Take the trade chatter last season that seemed to hurt the ego of Brogdon to the point we were put in a postion where we were forced to trade him.

Also we need to remember iron sharpens iron. Kornett missed some games and Queta stepped into that role as the 3rd big and did a phenomenal job. He played so well that i thought he took that role from Kornett permanently. Well it seemed to really light a fire under Lukes butt because he came back from that injury ready to play. Hes looked like a new man since then and right now looks like hes solidifyed his spot yet again. Which is a win/win because now we know we have 2 bigs over 7' coming off the bench that just aren't bodies to give Porzingis and Horford a breather. I am now fully confident that they both are capable of making spot starts when called upon and can guve us quality minutes when called upon off the bench.

I think right now were good as is but i definitely can see us freeing up a roster spot or two once we get to the time of the year when buyouts happen and guys are dumped for salary cap reasons thus allowing them to sign as a F.A. with whomever they see fit.

Boston is going to be a very attractive destination for guys that have made money in the league but still want to have a chance to get a ring.

Those are the moves we should be looking at down the line IMO.

  5. Drummond would be nice, but Queta is trending upward.

I’d focus on a wing to pair with Hauser—Hauser might be a PF, but his perimeter game is solid enough to consider him a wing.

Honestly, I’d like them to focus on a 2-way SF or SG, and bring Jordan Walsh up to see what more looks in The League does for his development.

We’re lucky, in that Holiday can be used in either the 1 or 2 , and Hauser can be used as a 3 OR 4. It gives us flexibility.

I’d love Drummond, but we’d have to ship Kornet and/or Queta out, and still sign a wing.

I’d also love to see them get Caruso for the 2. Caruso and Drummond, for Pritchard, Kornet/Queta, and some picks, or some combo of picks + Walsh.

  6. I'd pass on all those 3. there are better targets and cheaper than Osman too (doesnt fit into tpe). Drummond is a liability on defense and offense. We dont need someone redundant with queta/kornet. Again, i'd advocate for Bey, Tillman, Richards, Day'ron Sharpe and Torrey Craig. and lol on konchar/osman is sliding into 8th or 9th? so they are replacing PP, hauser, kornet/queta? nope. konchar and osman will be the 10th man. we are basically trading for a 10th man unless we are trading for a player who's a big upgrade from the current 7-9th men like Bey or Richards.

if i had to rank and get one of the 3 i'd go drummond>osman>konchar.

  7. It's Drummond clearly. That backup center spot is the most important thing. I'm not so worried about backup wings the guys they got atr so versatile they really don't need another wing

  8. I wouldn’t trade meaningful assets for any of these three guys. None are a meaningful upgrade on what you already have off the bench, especially at center. Kornet and Quetta have been solid, given you all you need there. Let them play, they’ve got familiarity and comfort with the system, which will take time for others to come up to speed on. I’d wait to see what buy out brings, and only make a move if you have a glaring hole at that point with injury.
