Victor Wembanyama Is Doing Things We’ve NEVER Seen…

Now this here is something that we’ve all seen Straight Out of Space Jam and just highlights how ridiculous of a player Victor wi Bama is it’s like they took a player straight out of NBA 2K and slapped him directly into the actual NBA and we all get to see this unrealness

Actually come to real life when you watch wimy you’re not only struck by his amazing height of 7′ 4 in tall but when you realize that he’s only 19 years old making this type of impact on the floor it displays just how high of a ceiling he really has currently right now Wim

Yama is in the first place in the Rookie of the Year race and when we break down some of his stats you can see just how much he brings to this team now when looking at rookies you can’t really base everything off the stats simply because they’re adjusting to the game and

Finding their footing so you have to use the eye test to actually see how good they are but when we look at how Victor wama Stacks up against other rookies in the league wimi is second in total points with 528 points scored first in free throw attempts at 121 attempted

Making nearly 80% of these first in rebounds with 288 first in blocks with 87 first in steals with 35 and then for the worst stat of all so people don’t think I’m being biased wimy is also first in turnovers with 91 total now just off these ranks alone you can see

That he leaves the rookie class by far and he’s doing so while not even playing on the best team when you look at plays like this it makes you wonder how are they missing him on these reads but hey that’s another story for another day

With his 19 points per game they re in in a multitude of ways as from anywhere on the court he’s able to get the look he wants and as long as he focuses it’s added points to the box score the reason I say as long as he focuses is because

On plays like this where you see Wy extend back and snatch his board you can easily see how his length is a major factor but even more than that when he spins back the other way it displays his Elite agility and although it seems like he would be affected by the two

Defenders hounding him all he does is put the ball over his head out of both of their reach and Banks it off the glass for the n one now for most players that shot is getting blocked or for all that matters they wouldn’t even snag that rebound but when you’re talking

About wimy these things are a simple Cakewalk for him as he just has to stay locked in that reach is something that is going to bother Defenders for his whole entire career while giving him the major advantage and on this fast break not only do we see the glaring problem

With his teammates not finding him on this left side lane on the extremely easy three on two scenario but hey once it ends up in the correct guy’s hands which is Trey Jones He places this alleyoop in an area where simply only Victor W bayama can reach it like for

Real look how high this ball is so then Wy catches it and throws it right through for the n one on the break see what I mean as long as he focuses his height and length is something the defense just can’t deal with most of the times and it’s really all about hoping

He’s just going to miss the shot but hey even then you can’t just sleep around the basket as wimy is one of the most active rookies I’ve seen around the rim and if you’re not careful then he’ll clean up his own Miss by grabbing the board and banking it in right over you

With his 10 rebounds a game this ranks wimi as the 15th highest board cleaner in the the NBA and no I’m not saying this makes Wy a prodigy on the offensive boards as he doesn’t even rank in the top 15 when it comes to grabbing boards

On the offensive end but it shows you just how much potential he has going forward in his career it truly can look like he’s at recess sometimes when you see him tip the ball to himself over both leer Defenders who in this case look like small kids leaping for the

Ball and with no issue he keeps it high above everyone and kisses it off the glass some might say well those weren’t too big so of course it’s easy for him to snag the board well watch right here at these guys over the twin towers and

Goar and towns for the easy tip in with the left hand well what can you say now you obviously can see the length makes him a threat around the rim at all times but this is only capable due to his movement without the ball wimy understands where to place himself under

The rim and not only that he understands where to place himself within the offense to receive the pass and by the time he catches it it’s more than likely too late for the defender to throw him off just like those tip ends around the basket wmy will stay active even if he’s

The one to miss the shot shot and although this isn’t a bucket directly off The Rebound with everybody on the Sacramento defense locked in on champ Penny wiy Cuts right through the middle of the defense for the easy slam inside it’s like he already understands that

Guys in the NBA ball watch heavily after misses and as he sets up Paul George for this cut you can see the Absurd agility he possesses making this sharp cut and beam to the basket behind George to finish off this alley connection not only did he Shake Up George on this

Route but in the same game he gave Kawai some of that work as well and totally shakes him his boots before catching it inside to finish it off to have a guy his height and his age move like this and notice the openings on the floor is

Quite ridiculous but he takes it up to another level when you see him spin off Defenders out that post and catch the lob all in a seamless motion against Portland as wmy sets up this action he can see there’s a major gap of space within the defense so immediately after

Passing to Jones He spins away from the smaller Defender and now there’s nothing the defense can do about it versus the Jazz if you look in this deep right corner you’ll notice that Kell olenic is guarding up high rather than below so once wimy stuns towards the ball it

Makes alen lunge forward but wng it’s to spin towards the basket and ladies and gentlemen That’s All She Wrote if anyone out there has seen someone This Tall move the way wimy does please let me know where you’ve seen this because honestly it looks like he’s one of a

Kind in this regard I mean you tell me how many times do we not only see guys his size spinning off Defenders with such fluidity but how many times do you see a 74 guy jump from about a foot outside the paint twerk his body in

Midair to avoid the defense and lay it in while moving at full speed on the break if you tell yourself you see this a lot then you will be lying well at least if you’re talking about the NBA because when you look around the league you don’t see really anyone doing what

WB is doing and this is why he is such a scary force he’s so comfortable on the court and especially when it comes to that inside scoring and this is what leads him to converting 73% of his 130 shots in the restricted area and even if

We stretch it out a little further he’s converted 65% of his 179 shots from less than 8 ft so yeah to say he’s a pretty safe bet on shots and close would be correct as his size is not only a major factor but his touch around the rim is

Pretty special as well hopefully we can see his touch from the inside leak out to his shooting as he’s only converted 33% of his 103 mid-range attempts in a very low conversion rate of 29% of his 53 taken per game now like I said earlier you can’t judge a rookie super

Hard on the numbers as you do have to use the eye test mainly in their first year and when you look at how comfortable wi Bama is when it comes to shooting the ball it leaves you a hope that we will see a uptick in his conversion rates sticking with that same

Fluidity from his drives you’ll see these times where wimy catches in a post position and with no hesitation it’s just one bounce directly into a fading mid-range jumper right over bamada bio it’s truly unique to see him have such confidence in his game and you see this exercised even more when he gets

Into a double cross size up on Daniel Ty and flows right into the mid-range pulley right on the top of his head this type of focus is something with we don’t see often from rookies that are 19 years old so even when he’s faced with two Defenders riding his grill contesting

The shot it’s like a walk in AP park for wimy and he Nails it right in their face poised he is and dialed in he stays but it doesn’t just stop in that in between area as although he may not be connecting on a high percentage of his

Looks wimy is rising over the defense from behind the arc with ease and comfortability with a little shake and bake wiy can create all this space from yous to knock it in and hey if you’re too far back and you don’t think he’s going to pull up from Deep what are

Jok’s on you Victor wiama is truly a unique player and so far from what we’ve seen he would be one of the best players to step on the hardwood if things keep going in this trajectory if you enjoyed this video be sure to drop a like And subscribe before heading over to watch

  1. I think the player with the game closest to Wemby was Ralph Sampson. Both 7 foot 4, liked jump shots. Wemby obviously far superior ball handler

  2. I personally think Chet has been the best rookie so far by a decent margin but out of all the rookie Victor has BY FAR the most potential he looks like an alien with how tall and long he is its like cheat codes, but then he still moves like a wing, has great touch, and with his height and mobility he can block ANYTHING fuck simple rim protection that shot you think you have enough space for finna get packed up by this man. Just what the fuck am I looking at?😂

  3. given Yao Ming & Porzingis hype derailed by injuries, we need to slow down with these "unicorn" mid 7 footers when they're young because they're very prone to injury given tge way they play.
Yao was more of a post-up or mid-range face-up big man but he could shoot well (no 3's but great midrange & great free throws) & dribbled a bit, Yao would have played more like Wemby if he was born 20 years or so later.

  4. What’s the source that he’s leading ROTY? Last time I checked Chet is leading. Or is it just your ROTY race?

  5. I’m a spurs fan and love Wemby, but yeah, I’ve seen it before – Wilt. You youngsters weren’t there. Wilt was not as tall but he was more athletic. Amazing goat-like player.

  6. So people dont start being cry babies in the comments, At the time of recording this Wemby did lead in the NBA rookie of the year race.. Currently chet holds the top spot!

  7. The only problem right now is that he shoots too many threes and spends most possessions outside the arc being a spectator. The kind of plays in this video need to happen more often, with him going inside. As things currently stand, he only makes 5.5 buckets per game inside the arc. That's not enough to sway the outcome of those games.

  8. He is very alien-like to watch. With a good supporting cast around him, I don’t doubt he’ll average 30+ relatively soon. His blocking capability alone seems otherworldly. Obviously he still has things to improve on but he’s a rookie so mfs need to give him that time lol

  9. yeah weve never seen as tall as him who average 43% field goal ever… this coming from a long time spurs fan… lets call spade a spade… he is not that great this season… he cant even beat tim duncan or david robinson rookie season

  10. Bro was like "how often do you see a 7' 4" guy…" ay, why does there need to be anything more on the end of the sentence.
