But if Claxton's free agency asking price is $100 million I don't think Brooklyn should do that. Claxton hasn't had the consistent year he had a season ago and while he's had some good defensive moments his offense has been a mixed bag…..
Some games Claxton hasn't been involved in the offense much and his inability to expand his offensive skillset even though he can make jump shots and a 3 point bucket in a small sample size, he needs to show he can be a big contributor against top teams and so far the results haven't been consistent….
But if Claxton was open to a $60-70 million contract Brooklyn could work with that and improve the team with Claxton as a core piece…
But Claxton's future at the deadline is definitely something to monitor…
