  1. He got fouled. He didnt make the shot(if he hit that we wouldve praised as one of his greatest finals plays of all time)

  2. Gotta love Kobe. He had his knee drained right before the first round of the playoffs and by the time this series began, he was basically playing on one knee. Had arthroscopic surgery in that offseason and it took him a couple seasons to get at 100%. The true epitome of “give it all you got.”

First clue was that it was the 2010 NBA Finals, by the gold basketball patch on the Celtics jersey whereas 2008 had the Larry O’Brien trophy emblem on the jerseys. Also a clue is the Lakers’ 50th anniversary sticker on the end line here.

Next clue is that this was either Game **1**, **6**, or **7.** Lakers back then (before Nike) strictly wore the gold jerseys at home except on Sundays when they instead wore white at home. In the 2010 series, Game 2 was on Sunday so they didn’t wear gold there, whereas the other games were during the week.

**EDIT:** u/iiivoted4kodos found the time stamp of this moment. [It was Game 6,](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtQdgK_yd80&pp=ygUWMjAxMCBuYmEgZmluYWxzIGdhbWUgNg%3D%3D) 10:46 left in the 4th period. Kobe didn’t make the shot, but it was still a cool image.

  4. Equally as insane as this shot attempt is that he’s still being defended.

This man was so feared, Tony Allen still felt the need to contest that 😂

This pic is hilarious because Tony Allen has to guard a shot even from behind the backboard
