SGA speaks on OKC’s identity, holding off Boston Celtics late | NBA on ESPN

SGA 36 more points for him the Thunder with some clutch free throws down the stretch six in fact two from jayen Williams two from Josh Giddy and two from Shay gilis Alexander just when they needed enough offense and Nick is standing by with the player of the game

Thanks Chris such intense game pressure what did it take to outlast those guys yeah uh 48 minutes um those guys have been to multiple Conference Finals been won plenty of basketball games I think they have the best record in the league um we knew it was going to take a whole

Game if we wanted to beat them uh no matter how big the lead they weren’t going to lie down and they didn’t um it was obviously a really good basketball team and we knew the challenge coming in yeah Shay you guys were dominant out of the halftime locker room what was

Different for you guys in that third quarter um we just wanted to play through our identity uh we’re going to vary from it sometimes throughout games uh we’re humans we’re going to make mistakes but as much as we can kind of course correct um and make sure we’re

Playing to our strik and our identity will’ll be the best team we can be your identity downhill all day you were able to get around some highle Defenders what were you seeing to be able to get those cracks just being myself being aggressive um I work super hard um every

Offseason I work out like the best defenders in the world are guarding me um so I’m used to it in a four-point win you guys got stuff from everybody tell me about the team effort yeah it took all I don’t know how many guys played 15

Guys I don’t know but it took all of us uh Jay will came in had big minutes everyone came in that came in had big minutes um and it paid off all right thank you so much Shay congrats all right thank you Nick it was 11 different players playing for Oklahoma City

  1. No one can figure this guy out…..he has become the most consistent player in the league.

Both teams played nearly their best possible basketball in this one. My thing with OKC is in a 7 game series can SGAs teammates do this every night? The games they lose “the others” are playing well below their averages.

Oh and I know JB played the worst he has all season but still he’s been the guy having the hardest time with the new additions. OKC is good but come playoff time I feel like some teams will just blitz him for 7 games.

  2. SGA is consistent since last season. This team can make a playoff run. Just need more experience but can give you run for your money!

  3. Good thing the refs stepped in, in the final 90 seconds or OKC would have destroyed the spread and Vegas…. or hell, maybe the refs, would have lost a lot of money.

  4. If this dude virtue signals nba would make him the next lebron 😂 they grooming ja as the next one tho

  5. This game should’ve been on NBATv at least. The league is missing out on their ratings because they won’t showcase these type of games

  6. One of the very few great games this season where this was stictly about basketball. No agenda, no preceding context between these two teams, just hoops.

And as a Celtics fan, I thoroughly enjoyed the game, all the way to the final buzzer. OKC is for real. GGs!
