The Raptors took young players over picks in the deal with the Knicks, and if they want the same from us I don’t want the trade. The most I could stomach would be to include one of the three young prospects

What is even the most we should be willing to part with for a half season rental? Sure the hope is you get him in the door and convince him to stay, but it isn’t likely that he pushes us into the top echelon of teams in the league.
The only young guys I’d be willing to give up are Sheppard and Stix or IJax(not both). Then you gotta include Brown and/or Buddy to make the dollars work.
It seems like Toronto is hung up on acquiring young players under team control rather than draft picks. He probably ends up with Dallas or another win now team willing to send out young players under team control.

Siakam just lost to the 28 loss Pistons, that should lower his price.

Indy is well ran for the most part when it comes to trades. I’m going to believe they would only do this with confidence he would want to sign long term. 0 reason you trade for him otherwise
