Max game was pretty tight there in the first half then a little bit of a flurry there in the late second quarter what do you think enabled you to really you know turn into a blow out there in the second half we decided to play defense that’s really all it was um we
Knew we could score we knew we could do what we want on offense it was just whether or not we were going to lock it in on defense and start getting stopped so you know we kind of took that um you know at halftime we talked about it and
Came on third quarter and shut it down Max I mean there’s been a overall uptick in three-point shooting since you actually made the comment that you guys thought you should shoot more how have you seen that improve and why do you think that’s been the case Sam
Merl uh no we’ve just been playing with more Pace um and space in the floor and having guys out there like that you got to do that so um you know we have a really deep roster of guys that can shoot the ball and um we all have the
Confidence in each other to shoot every time we’re open so um you know that’s that’s the way we’re playing that’s the way we want to play and um it’s fun to play like that you know you share the ball guys are get comfortable and um making threes whether you’re making them
Or not we’re all going to keep shooting them because that’s what we do obviously Caris has also stepped up a lot in the last couple of games what have you seen from him and I mean he played with his hair out today for the first time a
Little bit what you think about that uh Carris has been awesome um all year not just his scoring ability tonight I mean he made plays um having five assists I mean that second group that we played with tonight with you know you know I think it was Carris me Sam George and
Tristan or ja I mean that’s the floor is going to be pretty spaced with those three guys out there around Caris so um you know he’s got a lot of room to operate and uh he did a very good job with that and and and is also finding us
In our spots and making us get easy shots anything else uh you mentioned Sam uh helping with the uptick and threes how does him on the floor just kind of help everybody else another guy to space the floor um and you know the stigma is that he can’t guard anybody I’m sure but
Uh if you guys look at it deeply I mean the kid really guards um Sam’s a phenomenal basketball player um you know every time he touches the ball it’s either going up or he’s making the right play um he doesn’t hold on to it the ball doesn’t stop with him and um that’s
The way we want to play basketball so Sam does a really good job of doing that and helping our team play that way and um you know he’s also really good defensively he’s just smart always in the right spots and doesn’t really good job on the ball so um he’s been huge for
Us um and he’s going to keep continuing to be huge for this team
