5 NBA Stars That DESPERATELY Need To Be Traded In 2024…

With the turn of the New Year we’re getting to the point in the NBA season where teams are going to have to make a decision regarding the direction that they want to go in for the rest of the year and Beyond we’ve seen enough from each group to know what their realistic

Floors and ceilings are and for some teams they’ve been thoroughly disappointed with the reality of their situations so big changes could be Brewing that’s what we’re discussing in today’s video as I will be picking out five star caliber NBA players that I believe need to be moved before the

Trade deadline in 2024 for the good of both themselves and their teams some guys just need a fresh start and others are on teams that desperately need to go in a different direction before we start though it turns out a good amount of you watching right now aren’t even

Subscribed to the channel so if you enjoy the content consider hitting the Subscribe Button as not only does it help out a ton but it also very much appreciate it now with that being said let’s begin the first star player that needs to be traded in 2024 is Pascal

Cakam of the Toronto Raptors trade season officially got underway when the Raptors shipped out OG anobi to the New York Knicks in exchange for RJ Barrett and Emanuel quickley amongst others but that should just be the beginning for Toronto anobi was on an expiring contract this year unlikely to return

Next season which is the biggest reason why a deal got done but the same exact logic can be applied to Pascal cakam who is also on an expiring contract this year looking more and more unlikely to resign with the Raptors long term the Raptors can offer cakam the most money

In a contract extension but whether they actually want to do that is a completely different story cakam is an incredibly versatile forward who can be a reliable secondary scorer in a lineup he’s one of the best passers in the league as a power forward his speed for the position

Is one of his best attributes and he fits into any team on defense contenders are going to come calling about his Services before for the trade deadline and it will all come down to who has enough Expendable assets to give up I will say that of everyone on this list

Seaka may be one of the riskier trade targets because he has made it clear that he wants to enter free agency this summer in order to get the biggest contract possible in the situation that he prefers the most so there’s no guarantee that he resigns with the team

That trades for him but at the same time he would still be an incredibly valuable rental for a team looking to go all in on this year the next star player that needs to be traded in 2024 is dejonte Murray of the Atlanta Hawks the Hawks were looking like a contender On The

Rise back in 2021 when they made a surprise run of the Conference Finals but ever since that run they’ve been consistently trending in the wrong direction with Trey young orchestrating the offense they’ve been able to score with the best of them because of his Elite playmaking Talent but the problems

Always came on the other end of the floor struggling to stop a nose bed on defense defense when they traded for dejonte Murray two off seasons ago the idea the Hawks had in mind was for him to both ease the playmaking load of Trey young in the back court and to improve

Their Dreadful perimeter defense as he was a former member of the all defense team and they at the time were the 26th ranked defense in the league well two years later the Hawks are sitting in 11th place in the Eastern Conference standings six games below 500 and their

Defensive wos have actually gotten worse from 2 years ago now ranking as the 27th ranked defense in the league not many people want to talk about it but despite Murray still producing at a pretty solid level offensively as a secondary scoring option and playmaker alongside Trey

Young his defense has not been nearly as helpful as advertised and the fact that he’s also a subpar perimeter shooter has made his talents redundant alongside Trey young in the back court the current makeup of the Hawks is not a recipe for success so sometimes you have to just

Cut your losses and admit defeat even if Murray hasn’t been in town very long he’ll still have plenty of suitors who are in the market for a quality ball handler and the Hawks are once again in the hunt for a better fit to address their weaknesses the next star player

That needs to be traded in 2024 is Zack LaVine of the Chicago Bulls this has been a tale of two seasons for the Bulls the first part of the season was when Zack LaVine was healthy and the Bulls were struggling and the second part came after LaVine suffered an injury and the

Bulls almost immediately started to turn things around in lavine’s absence now I’m not going to put all of the blame on LaVine for the team’s early struggles but what I am going to do is emphasize the fact that the Bulls have been a group that has been painfully mediocre

With their current core of talent and the worst place you can be in the NBA is stuck in the limbo of mediocrity all signs point towards the Bulls needing to shift their focus to the Future and in doing so it starts by trading away LaVine who is still just 28 years old is

Under contract for four more seasons and still has a lot of quality basketball ahead of him in his career so it would be in the Bull’s best interest to maximize his value and get as much as they can in a trade to set themselves up for the future since he’s gone down Kobe

White has stepped into his role as a primary backourt scorer and has taken off looking like a legitimately promising young star in the making to start a rebuild with and LaVine returning to the team would just hinder White’s development without any realistically attainable postseason goal

In sight at this point it’s in the best interest of both LaVine and the Bulls to go their separate ways the next star player that needs to be traded in 2024 is actually lavine’s teammate on the Bulls Demar D rozan almost everything that I just said about Zack LaVine also

Directly applies to D rozan however there are a few differences that land him on this list for different reasons yes the Bulls are in a spot where shifting into a rebuild should be their priority in the very near future and obviously 34-year-old DeMar rosen is not the kind of player that should stick

Around through a time when Youth and development need to be prioritized he is still a player with plenty left in the tank as a wing scorer averaging 22 points per game this season and any team in need of another impact scorer and ball handler looking to get themselves

Ready for a deep playoff run will be in on acquiring someone like d rozan he could even attract more interest on the market than Zack LaVine because unlike LaVine who is under contract for four more seasons posing as a very big commitment D rozan is on the final year

Of his current contract so it would make a whole lot less in a trade offer to acquire him and there’s no long-term commitment to him needed in case his time with his new team doesn’t quite work out it’s much more lowrisk than others on this list and the rewards

Could still be plentiful and finally the last star player that needs to be traded in 2024 is lri marinan of the Utah Jazz when marinan came to Utah his career was trending in the wrong direction looking more like a role player meant for stretching the floor as a third or

Fourth option but he blossomed in his first year in town being named to his first All-Star team last season and is now one of the hottest names on the block marinan has an incredibly intriguing mix of shot creating ability off the dribble deep shooting range and sneaky athletic ISM at the power forward

Spot and what makes him such a valuable asset to teams looking to push in all of their chips and make a run is that his skill set fits into almost any scheme offensively because of his ability to thrive on and off the ball unlike some of the other players we’ve discussed

Today though it’s going to cost teams a lot to acquire him because of the fact of the matter is that he is still just 26 years old and on a team-friendly contract the Jazz have a lot of young Talent on their roster that are realist real istically at least a few years away

From competing for anything worthwhile so if the right offer comes in then they’d obviously consider moving lri who is in his prime right now and with that being said that’s all I have for you today make sure to like the video subscribe to the channel and comment

Down below which teams you think are a good fit for these players thanks for watching and I’ll see you all next time

  1. I disagree that Lauri needs to be traded. The Jazz don't need more assets. They need to now use their assets get better. Lauri wants to be in Utah and his timeline can fit in nicely with that rebuild

  2. Mavs do Hardy, ( Williams, or Green) , Prosper , 2 first for Lauri if he was made available and teams don’t really offer much?

  3. You know what i find funny. All these trade have these star players going to contenders. These players have huge contract and with the salary cap restrictions the the teams that are contenders really can't afford these players unless they go over the cap.

  4. Your take on Pascal is flawed. The reason why Achiuwa and Flynn were sent in the OG deal was to bring Toronto under the tax threshold by approx $1,000,000. What this does for Masai is buy time of a decision regarding Pascal. They can try out the new look roster with Pascal and if they need more retooling and are wowed by a deal come trade deadline, they can do that. Or if they aren't wowed by a package, or believe there's some hope for a Scottie/Pascal/IQ core to work out, they can resign him for the money he's looking for, making next year a first year the team enters into the tax. If at that point, the team still needs retooling, Masai can negotiate trades for Pascal from a position of strength when he's under a longer-term contract. The including of Malachi Flynn was crucial to getting under the tax threshold, and hints at the longer-term view on what happens with Pascal.

  5. Lauri would be a really good fit for the Pacers. Haliburton/Markkanen duo would be a lot of fun to see.

  6. Lauri is a player that every championship contending team wants, he is a better version of MPJ in every way.

  7. The Jazz trading Lauri makes no sense. Like, he's probably the LEAST likely player in Utah to be traded away.
John Collins, Jordan Clarkson, and Collin Sexton are all significantly more likely to be traded.

  8. My trade idea D-Murray And Clint Capela To Pacers For Buddy Heild Myers Turner

Zack Lavine SG To Kings For Kevin Hurter Harrison Barnes And Davion Mitchel

Terry Rozier PG To Pelicans For Trey Murphy And Jordan Hawkins

Tyus Jones PG Kyle Kuzma PF/SF To Cavaliers For Evan Mobley And Issac Okoro SF

Alex Caruso Demar Derozan To Timberwolves For Jaden McDaniels And Kyle Anderson

D-Lo PG To Suns For Grayson Allen And Josh okogie

Pascal Siekam PF To Warriors For Chris Paul And Andrew Wiggins

Lauri Markkanen PF To Thunder For Josh Gidey And Lou Dort

  9. Oh man it's a good player on a small market team? How dare they!!!! Stop the nonsense

  10. Lauri going no where. They killed him in Chicago and had no big role in Cleveland. He is a grait player in Utah and they rebuild. Completely fine there.

  11. Why would Utah trade Lauri? He’s only 26 entering his prime. He’s on a great deal, and the jazz could have a solid squad in a year or two around Lauri with the amount of draft picks they have

  12. I think the Thunder would be a great spot for Siakam. They have more than enough assets to get him without breaking the bank, and he’d provide some nice defensive versatility as well as secondary ball handling and scoring that’s missing from the roster now. Their biggest hole is experience and Siakam is a NBA champ, not to mention multiple time all star and all nba. Giddey, Wiggins, Wallace, the Bertans contract and some draft picks should be enough

  13. Hey hoops reference I just want you to know when you said why the player on the hawks needed to be traded this year, I believe that actually there is a way to make it work, I would say the hawks need to experiment with a system that their backcourt would thrive in. And that's why I think you are wrong about the hawks player.

  14. Clearly u didnt watxh Lauri on the cavs wen he was healthy…dude is legit wen healthy…since he's been back the jazz have been balling 7 – 3 last 10 games…

  15. Raptors do NOT need to trade Pascal this year. All NBA players don’t fall off of trees. Unlike OG, Pascal WANTS to be in Toronto and Masai will continue to play his cards close to his chest until he makes his move
