[Wojnarowski] Jonathan Kuminga has been starting in Green’s spot. Kerr told ESPN’s Kendra Andrews that “there is a world where [Kuminga] can start for the rest of the year,” as long as the third-year forward continues to play well and the team wins.

Sorry, Steve, ur words has no value
Def won’t start over Draymond but I’d prefer him over Wiggs/Loon at this point. I just don’t like the idea of Wiggins being paid so much to be a bench player.
This the same guy who played Anthony Lamb over him for the majority of last season lol
If Wiggins won’t come back to the starting line up then maybe
That better be the world we’re living in Steve
Hate this response. So he’s on short leash and if the team starts losing a few in a row he’s benched. It’s gotta do wonders for confidence and comfortability on the floor. Smh
I wonder what “world” Kerr is talking about? My feeling it ain’t on this one. Klay plays better at the 3 and it’s not like JK can play the 2 so likely see Steph, Podz, Klay, Dray, TJD starting and that it leaves playing JK on the bench with Wiggs unless one is traded.
Kinda crazy he went from not in rotation and likely on trade block to potentially starting in front of either wigs or even dray rest of year
someone get the movie trailer voice guy

If Kuminga ends up taking Wiggins spot and continues to play well with dray in the lineup and maybe podz at the 2, klay at the 3, then trade Wiggins at this point.
Kendra is also the same “reporter” that said the warriors were pissed at Wiggins for not coming to camp in shape only for Slater to come out the next day and be like uhh Wiggs broke his rib and couldn’t work out over the summer while it healed and the Warriors were obviously well aware of that lol. Also the whole completely misconstrued reporting of the whole Steph and whoop that trick thing so I don’t take anything she reports at face value anymore.
There’s also no way to know how any rotations shake out until Dray comes back and plays so any reporting on rotations for the rest of the year involving anyone is nothing but speculation.
Edit to add: also Woj’s changing of Kendra’s quote to suggesting Kerr said Kuminga specifically instead of younger players in general is bizarre
Kendra’s article – “there is a world where [**the younger players**] can start for the rest of the year.” But it’s a fluid situation, as evidenced by him switching up lineups.
Podz is not starting once Green gets ramped up. I don’t know why this sub continues to think he’s going to start. He’s been great but is better with our second unit as a change of style/pace player. He started because Draymond was out and Kerr was messing with rotations. More recently, Kerr has gone with CP over Podz because he’s better at getting Steph involved in his spots. When Draymond is fit, he will replace CP. If Kuminga doesn’t perform well with Draymond, you will see Kerr likely turn back to Wiggins. GP is also a good option once he’s back healthy as he plays incredibly well with Steph and although undersized can hold his own on defense
Would Steph – Klay-Wiggins- JK- Draymond work?
Why cant we just play Steph, Klay, Wiggins, Kuminga and Dray as the starters?
Oh no. Draymond ain’t gonna like this
Well finally idk if I should take this with a grain of salt or not though coming from Kerr lol
Kuminga either slides in for where Wiggs would be in the old Curry/Klay/Wiggs/Dray/Loon lineup. Or it will be something like Curry/Klay/Guard or Forward/JK/Dray.
Kerr prob thought it was still 2023 when he said this.
I’d love kuminga to get most of Wiggins minutes, but it all sounds nice. I’ll believe change when I see it.
No way he starts past all-star weekend
That’s because they’re shopping Dray
There is a world, unfortunately it’s one alternate to this one. Kerr a big believer in multiverse theory.
