Embiid is Scary, this season is different. Evolution at its finest!
I don’t understand this disrespect idea you’re pushing? He’s far and away the number 1 leader in the MVP race straw poll taken of 400 folks in the media. If you’re saying he’s not getting enough coverage on TV then say that, but somehow saying that he’s not getting noticed for what he’s doing right now doesn’t match what’s actually occurring. Again leading all players in the MVP race. It might be fairer to point out that the NBA mainstream media is generally ambulance chasers looking for areas of drama and there’s not a lot of drama in Philly after Harden left. They also tend to focus on shiny new things like Oklahoma City, and Whemby. Silly but true. But the majority of NBA writers have him at the top of their list, and if he stays healthy, he’ll win his second MVP.
Jokictards conveniently forgot Jokic losing in the playoffs both times he won the MVP getting put out the First Round and sweep in the Second Round without Murray (Murray the Real Nuggets MVP).
The same exact thing goes for Giannis who only can win if he don't run into a Championship Caliber Team Healthy.
So attacking Embiid for being the MVP because those Losers finally won a Championship is ridiculous. It's majority the Sixers Management fault, not Embiid.

Best believe, Embiid was ALWAYS that guy. The differences between his outbreak this season & previous seasons is #1… He finally has a coach witta gameplan & #2… You cant double him anymore witout consequence since the rest of the team around him are also offensive threats. This team is probably playing some of the most beautiful basketball in Sixers history atm. Haters are gunna hate regardless of the success cause they hate the process
Embiid is different and has continued to improve. And I agree RB he is 10x better than last season. He’s taking dominance more seriously, setting a tone and playing hard from the jump-rather than needing more time to ramp up. It’s exciting to watch.

Respect is earned, not given. Once Embiid and the 76ers prove that they can win when the lights are the brightest, critics will go away. He's been balling out thus far and I hope he continues. Guys this is simple. Once he does it in the playoffs, the respect will come. It’s not totally unfair. We can appreciate but also want more. The measuring stick for greatness includes and emphasizes playoff performance. Shaq averaged like 35 and 15 in the finals and was basically as tall and much heavier than Joel. All embiid has to do is not be worse in the playoffs. Shaq and many greats elevate their play, Joel could just plateau and get accolades. He can be a paper champ, but delivery in reality must follow.
The roster must continue to evolve over the next 18 months after basically being terribly constructed for 90 percent of Joel’s career. All he needs is a co star and “the others” to do their jobs, and that will set him up to be healthy enough to perform. Wear and tear must be minimized.
This year is different, this team is evolving, we are finally improving with already being competitively close while Boston is trying to maintain excellence. This is the year we pass them with a complete team led by Nurse. I believe they get to the finals and I was not optimistic at the start of the season. It won’t be easy but I feel good about this group peaking by the end and having a fresh Embiid by the end of season. LFG!!!!

It’s January 3rd. The team is coming together and Embiid is incredible. Leave it alone. He’s got to perform for a full playoffs in order for national media to put him up there.

The reason why Embiid gets disrespected is because he’s a playoff dropper. We know how dominant he can be but come playoff time he disappears.
