Sorry Canada, Scottie Barnes deserves better than this…
The first returns from the NBA all-star voting are in and neither Pascal Siakam or Scottie Barnes finished in the top 10 in voting amongst East forwards. While it’s highly dubious to suggest Siakam has a case to be an All Star this season, Barnes has cemented his place, at least by the data, as a top 12-15 player in the NBA this season.

We’ll also go into depth on the recent video that OG Anunoby re-signing with the Knicks is not a lock, and make a case for and against bringing back Pascal Siakam if the right trade doesn’t present itself.

Our boy ain't gonna get his votes in Canada…. Need more content creators selling this product down south.
Lol I’m actually embarrassed to be Canadian what a joke. The crazy thing is I’ve seen more Americans voting Scottie than Canadians. What a joke
I voted. Triple votes today on January 5!!! Let's goooo.
I got my vote in today, and your community is doing its part. But there hasn't been a lot of enthusiasm about the Raptors this year. The more serious fans know that Scottie is playing at an all-star level. There is also a ton of bad shit happening in the world, and people across Canada (and elsewhere) are preoccupied with other stuff. You enumerated a half dozen other reasons. It's not personal but the impetus is not there at the moment. Perhaps it will change in the coming weeks. I've heard American broadcasters refer to Scottie as a candidate for the most improved player, and so his stature will continue to grow. But the Raptors have not been given the platform this year. The last couple of games have shown how both Scottie and Pascal can coexist and even thrive given the current system. Scottie is the on-floor general and the team's most valuable player, and Pascal remains the team's best offensive player. None of us knows what will happen in the future. But both of them can continue to play essential roles in Raptors 2.0.
I've voted every day for scotty. Do you think it's rigged ?
as messed up as it is, it would be beneficial for Pascal to miss 2-3 games so we can see if this team can cope without him. That would make the decision to trade or keep him a lot easier.
I made 6 of my friends in Turkey who don’t even watch the NBA vote for Scottie daily. C’mon Canada, this can’t be the effort…
I've been voting. This is disheartening…
Last year the media did their damage to Scottie with those work ethic dumb takes, and this fan base became very divided. Even though Scottie is thriving now without FVV hijacking the office, a bunch of fans still think poorly of Scottie. Sigh
