This is what actual depth looks like. Mfers really thought we had the best depth in the league during the offseason. Nobody cares that your 11th man is better than others. The game is about playing your best lineup together and having 2-3 more impactful players off the bench.

This team was able to remain .500 WITHOUT LeBron and AD. Our current team is below .500 despite having them both healthy.
I still think our current roster is pretty good as well. Not 2020 or 2021 good but still fairly good if we made slight changes and Ham learnt how to coach.

Well, we replaced the players we couldn’t keep or didn’t sign with players with the same role during the off-season. Rondo to Schroder, Howard to Gasol, Green to Matthews. All I want to say is that fuck Solomon Hill.
Threw (traded) it all away for Russ and Jeanie was too cheap to hold on to Caruso.
Fucking shame.
However, I will remind you what was being said on this sad ass sub at the time:
AD – Sub started to call him “Mr Glass” this season
Bron – Sub said he was starting to look old and tired
KCP – Sub said he was afraid to shoot
Dennis – Sub said he wasn’t worth the big contract (he wasn’t, but I wish we still had him for whatever he’s getting paid right now
Gasol – Old, washed, we miss Dwight and JaVale (I was guilty of this)
Caruso – Nothing. Everyone properly admired the goat except for Jeanie’s wallet.
Wes – Sub said “bum looks old and can’t shoot”
Kuz – Sub said he didn’t know his role, couldn’t defend, and played hero ball (all true)
Kief – Old, isn’t shooting like he was in the bubble
Trez – Unplayable in the playoffs
Ok, so my point is here that now looking back I think most of us could say we miss that team, and while some of the criticism was justified, I was fighting off A LOT of idiots back then who I told we’d be missing if they weren’t here.

Don’t know why people can’t understand it. It’s about having the absolute best starting 5. Then a high quality 6th man. Then after that just serviceable pieces tbh.
Look at the Nuggets. Bruce Brown was their 6th man last playoffs. 7 and 8 were Jeff Green and christian Braun who played 15 minutes a night and averaged 6 points between them
No can tell me this team wouldn’t have made a run if AD stayed healthy

Wesley was ass on that season afair. Keef didnt replicate his good playoffs run. He was useless on that season, riding the bench.
This lineup would never have been possible in 2024
KCP, Caruso, Kuzma, Dennis are the only ones here that were SOLID role players. Marc Gasol career was basically over in the NBA. Matthews just isn’t the shooter he was back in the Maverick days. Montrez LMAO. That dude blew ass on this team and really hasn’t left an imprint with any other team since the Clippers. Markieff Morris is alright, I would sign him as an 10/11th man
AD aside the big men were not good that year.

Nets are stuck & aren’t going anywhere with their roster. They need a PG (Dinwiddie has been shit for them & is probably going to walk in free agency).
Dlo provides them with a plug & play PG for time being.

Christie will probably start & play decent minutes for them.

We should at least land a good shooter, I mean aside from Bron and AD in starting line up, who the hell can shoot lights out ? The answer is no ? No one is scared of this team shooting 3, that’s why we lost to heat, they simply just out number AD in the paint and jack up 2 point consistently. To be honest, at this point, getting Kuzma back may be the wise move, he played with Lebron and AD before, and he actually can play basketball, not like other bums.
