|NBA Insider Ian Begley reacts to the Knicks gritty win over the Bulls at MSG | SNY

Time now to go inside out as we are joined by SNY NBA Insider Ian Begley for Madison Square Garden and Ian it’s been a tough stretch for the Julius Randle haters as he scored 30 or more in three of the last four and twenty or more in 19

Straight. What’s been the key to his recent consistency? You know, I’ll go back to training camp came in when Julius was talking about rehabbing that ankle after ankle surgery. He spent a lot of time the mental side of the game watching tape and he felt like he was coming into this year

A more efficient player. Now, the first 10 games was a struggle because he was just coming off injury, but he’s been efficient very efficient since then and he says that you know things have slowed down for him. He’s able to get to where he wants to go you look at his shop profile

Fewer threes. More shots around the basket. I think that’s why you’re seeing this from Randall right now, Isaiah heart and Stein once again all over the place in this one on defense with the career high in rebounds. He’s the first Nick with 20 or more boards five blocks and shooting higher

Than 60% from the field in a game since that Patrick Ewing fella. How has he been able to elevate his game since Mitchell Robinson’s injury. You know he said tonight. He always had the confidence that he could play it like this, but he never really had

The opportunity to get minutes consistently like he has since Robinson has gone down and he’s playing like a player who’s very confident. He’s giving the Knicks something big every night, and he’s a free agent this summer. He’s earning himself a big paycheck with these performances with Robinson out.

Alright, thanks for your time. Nick’s now get ready to face the 76ers on Friday Ian Begley. Thanks for joining us here on Honda Sports night. right

On SportsNite, SNY NBA Insider Ian Begley joins Eamon McAnaney from The Garden, where the Knicks got 35 points from Julius Randle, who continues to silence critics with his outstanding play, in a 116-100 win over the Bulls. Ian also touches on Isaiah Hartenstein’s big night, with 20 rebounds, five blocks and 4-for-6 from the field, the first Knick to post those numbers in a game since Patrick Ewing.

  1. I'll have nightmares for a long time if the Knicks let Hartenstein walk at the end of the season. With every game, he looks more like the starting center of an NBA Champion squad.
