I’m here to tell you the Oklahoma City Thunder have not just arrived but they are banging on the door of Championship contention they are one game out of the one seed in the western conference after tonight’s win over the best team in the league Boston Celtics they’ve been making statement game after statement

Game they’ve got an MVP candidate maybe the MVP of the league on their team they’ve got a top two current Deo candidate According to some odds I just looked up in chat hren who’s also a rookie of the year cand they’ve got a rising All-Star caliber player a bunch

Of great role players great coaching this Thunder team has completely arrived they’re proving every doubter in the off season wrong all the people that said oh Shay’s Not Top 10 when National media Outlets tried to rank him there the amount of people I saw putting out these

Tweets that got hundreds of thousands of likes nearly saying that oh the media starting to overrate Shay like he’s not this good let’s see what he does next season you know what he’s done he’s leveled up his game people saying that oh Chad was too skinny to succeed in the

League he was going to get destroyed by bigs he wasn’t going to be good right now having one of the best rookie Seasons we’ve seen in a very long time and may be an Allstar Jaylen Williams oh he shouldn’t have been top two in Rookie of the Year voting he’s not actually

That good you know what he’s doing out there destroying the league and making big plays against some of the NBA’s best squads it doesn’t matter who you take a look at in this Thunder team pretty much everybody is proving somebody wrong in some way and it’s been amazing as a

Thunder fan this is what the rebuild has been building to because over the past few years which it’s only been a few years by the way the way people have talked about this rebuild over the course of it you would think the Thunder haven’t made the playoffs since like

2016 but we were in a game seven against the rockets in the bubble like that was almost four years ago when we reach these playoffs which the Thunder will be in by the way but coming into season it only been 3 years since we were in a

Literal game seven in last year we were one game away from making the playoffs but no people tried to make the Thunder face of tanking saying they were the black ey of the league they were disgraced that the Thunder had to trade Shay because he didn’t match the

Timeline that Shay was going to be the next Superstar dealt because the Thunder weren’t going to be ready to win for years oh all Sam prey cares about is picks he doesn’t care about this team winning look at where the Thunder are now guess what takes a couple of years

And this thunder re has been way better and way quicker than most other rebuilds out there you take a look at some other teams in the league it’s not even close the Thunder have not only gone from a you know rebuilding team a couple years

Ago to last year being a middle of the pack team to a really good team they have gone over the course of like three seasons to a near Championship Contender it’s a team that feels like they could battle anybody on any given night in any seven game series and give them a hell

Of a fight if not win the series itself over the past couple of weeks the Thunder have been making statements left and right December 16th the Thunder go in and defeat the Denver Nuggets 118 to 117 on a sha game winner in Denver a couple days later blow out the Memphis

Grizzlies not even close couple days after that blow out the Los Angeles Clippers we’ll say they were without kawh Leonard but even still game wasn’t even remotely close lose the Lakers that Saturday few days later after Christmas go ahead destroy the Minnesota timberl the worst loss of the season so far for

Minnesota the only team ahead of the thunder in the Western Conference standings they annihilated them 129 to 106 literally the next day defeat the New York Knicks who a really solid Squad beat them pretty comfortably Knicks made a little bit of a comeback but really

This game was never too much in doubt in the fourth quarter then couple days later third game in four nights Thunder go into Denver again and this time blow them out 26-point win for Oklahoma City I think that’s the worst loss of the Nugget season so far I believe if it’s

Not it’s very very close then they go up against the Brooklyn Nets a couple days later on New Year’s Eve destroy them really not even a close game outside the first quarter and then tonight the reason I’m making this video they face off against the best team in the league

The number one record in the Boston Celtics everybody’s picked to win the championship at this point and they beat them they go ahead and pass another test at this point in the season they’re tied for the fourth most wins against 5 00 or better teams in the entire NBA only

Behind the Boston Celtics as well as the Minnesota timal they’re tied with the Milwaukee Bucks at the three and the four spots they are passing tests with flying colors every time they face a championship Contender they either directly compete with them or they beat them outright and against teams that are

Below 500 the teams that you’re supposed to beat as a top level team they’re 12-1 they really don’t ever lose the teams that are worse in them they go ahead they continuously stay ready they dominate the inferior competition against these best teams they beat them on a consistent basis and this win

Against the Celtics was truly a special one this felt like the grand test where the Thunder had a chance to go ahead and fully announc themselves to the world and they did exactly that unfortunately it was on league pass I don’t know why this game wasn’t nationally televised

But even still it seems like a lot of people were paying attention the national audience seems to have kind of realized what Oklahoma City’s capable of from this game and what they’re capable of is defeating the League’s best team in the Boston Celtics in a really close

Battle the Thunder went up big in this one I think they went up by as much as like 18 points in the fourth quarter but the Celtics battled back they got huge buckets from their cast of multiple All-Star caliber players out there Jason tatman 30 points 13 boards and eight

Assist chrisop porzingis was dominant with 34 points 10 boards two assists and three blocks Derek white was great hitting big shots in the fourth quarter 19 points five rebounds and six assists Jaylen Brown and uh Drew holiday struggled a little bit but overall most of the stars were dominating against the

Thunder they were looking really good they’re allar caliber players it’s what they do but the Thunder held fast they went ahead went through all the punches got big buckets from Chad from dub huge free throws from shade down the stretch as well as great defensive plays from pretty much everybody the role player

Stepped up and the Thunder weather the storm defeat the Boston Celtics it’s only the second time that the Celtics have lost this entire season with their starting lineup fully healthy they’re now 15-2 in those games the Thunder went ahead and defeated the Celtics in a game where they shot above 35% from three

That’s the First lost all season that the Celtics have had with that type of stat in their favor they were 19-0 before this they were held 17 of 29 in the restricted area lot of that is because of the defense of Chad holgren and under Joe Missoula the Celtics were

70 and2 coming into this game and posting an offensive rating of 1.14 or better they’re now 70 and3 because they went ahead and lost this one tonight the Celtics gave the Thunder their best punch and the Thunder weathered it and got a w against the League’s best team

Sha finishes his game with 36 points six rebounds seven assists and one steal on 14 of 22 shooting three of five from Deep against the best defensive back Hort in the world Derek white and Drew holiday are both all defensive caliber players maybe even all defensive First Team Caliber players and it didn’t

Matter he was shooting right over them blowing by them it didn’t matter who was guarding him I will give Jason Tatum some credit played some great defense on Shay down the stretch in the fourth quarter of this one but for the most part Shay was getting anything he wanted

Against the Celtics team that has been one of the best defenses in the league consistently and Fa two phenomenal like all World defensive guards and it just did not matter there’s nobody in the world that can consistently slow down Shay I firmly believe that because he has consistently thrown the best

Defenders in the world every single night and he is the model of consistency 30 piece after 30 piece after 30 piece on high efficiency he’s averaging over 30 points per game on over 50% shooting as a guard it’s absurd he doesn’t make any sense he’s truly one of the most

Special offensive players we have seen in a really long time in this league not to mention the defense which continues to level up as well averaging right around 2.7 steals per game he’s a monster out there one of the League’s most formidable two-way stars and coming

Into the season there was a meme that people had calling him Aura man and saying that oh he can’t really compete against the best teams in the league he only thrives against the worst teams he did it against the Nuggets a few days ago he did it against the Nuggets again

He did against the Minnesota timberl did against the Knicks did it against the Celtics tonight when they had the two best defensive guards or two of them at least in the world doesn’t matter Shay gets the job done Chet hren 14 points three rebounds seven assists huge playmaking for him the Celtics were

Throwing a lot of pressure his way he wasn’t getting a lot of clean looks when he did get them he was knocking them down 56% shooting hit a number of big threes including a dagger one at Fel like in this one Celtics did keep it close after that but it was a huge

Momentum shifting shot Chad just kind of slots into the system he doesn’t have to do too much if we ask him we go get Buckets he can certainly do that but for the most part he’s perfectly fine with getting what the offense gives to him you know diming up his teammates and

Playing some of the most lead changing defense while he’s at it had four blocks in this game huge all over the place the Celtics again shot 17 of 29 in the restricted area that is an unbelievable margin against the Celtics team that is just so efficient across the court Chad

Is a game changer on that end and if you watch him play you realize exactly why he’s now moved up to second in the defensive player of the year odds that’s how good he’s been as a rookie when people try to say oh he’s to small he

Can’t deal with the physicality of the NBA he’s probably going to make an all defensive team as a first year player he’s got the Thunder as a top five defense as that anchor he is a special player on that end so there Shay who’s top two in MVP voting and making a rapid

Case for a top five player in the world you’ve got Chet homr who might be a top five D Point candidate in his rookie season might be an Allstar and at the very least will be an all defens defensive player while also being fantastic on the offensive end especially with the efficiency you’ve

Also got jayon Williams rounding out this big three as a Swiss army knife defensively at three Stills in two blocks and offensively he is so much more polished than I think people realize 17 points one rebound one assist in this game shooting 50% from the field

And 40% from Deep on the season not too far off of 50 4090 I think he can get there at some point in his career and tonight was so big down the stretch because the Celtics started to send a lot of pressure at Shan in this one late

Because they weren’t getting it done one-on-one so they sent a couple of different guys like I said Tatum played some great defense on him we needed somebody else to step up because the Celtics were making this big comeback and you know who that guy was it was Jaylen Williams you need a secondary

Creator outside of your Superstar if you want to be successful in this league especially when games get kind of more halfcourt Centric in the playoffs and Jaylen Williams is a great example of the perfect archetype of that kind of player he went out there and got multiple huge buckets down the stretch

One where he just went ahead and attacked and got some free throws got a big bucket on Jason Tatum had a big bucket on I think it was Al Horford as well just a stop and pop type of fadeaway Jumper he is electric plays the

Game very similar to Shay I see a lot of times he’s also going to be an Aller in this league it’s not going to be this season but give it a couple years and Jaylen Williams is going to be a staple in the All-Star game they are one of the

Best young big threes in the entire league amazing on both sides of the wall every single one of them highly efficient they play so well off each other this big three should terrify the rest of the NBA not just in the future but now because they are currently

Destroying the league and they’re the cous for why the thunder are as good as they are but while those guys are the head of the snake the Thunder are also one of the deeper teams in the entire league and people don’t realize that cuz we have these big names but so many guys

Contribute at a high level every single night KR Williams is fantastic on a nightly basis often playing a small while big lud Dort has gone from a highle Defender that can’t really knock down a shot to a 40% three-point shooter while still playing some incredible defense just locked up all throughout

This game Aaron Wiggins an amazing cutter who hits timely threes also defends Cas wals as a rookie is one of the most steady players on our team automatic from the corner I feel like he never misses those three-point shots hardly ever makes mistakes plays great defense Isaiah Joe is one of the

League’s best Shooters and competes defensively you know Jay will when he plays minutes as the backup big has been really solid this season meet s Josh gidy has turned into Steph Curry as of late hit 4 seven threes in this game and was knocking them down consistently

Against the Brooklyn Nets it’s a team that is truly clicking on all cylinders these guys have figured out how to play well together the chemistry is through the roof they look Unstoppable at this moment again just one game away from the timberl as the two seed in the Western

Conference 23-9 at this point one of I think four teams with single digit losses on the season still one of three teams top five an offensive and defensive rating an MVP candidate an All-Star Rookie of the Year all defensive type guy in chat a very closely upand cominging All-Star in

Jaylen Williams great role players a great coach in Mark dagal and they still haven’t used any of their draft Capital they still have so many draft picks to trade to upgrade this roster if need be if a superstar becomes available the Thunder still one of the top packages in

The league just with draft Capital if a high level role player becomes available to bolster this roster without messing up the core that’s very easily attainable because we have like Davis burs his contract and again like 17 first round picks this team is swimming in assets and they’re still one of the

Best in the entire league it’s unbelievable the position we’re in right now the way that Sam pressy has rebuilt this team on these guys have stepped up to the challenge have arrived have proved everybody wrong the Thunder are here and I believe I said this in the

Intro a lot of people have been talking about oh the Thunder might just be one trade away but I feel like the whole National narrative now is kind of swinging and I’m kind of of this belief too the Thunder might not need that big trade to win it all right now the way

That they’ve been playing so far maybe you just let this young core ride see what they can do in the playoffs this year I wouldn’t be opposed at all to adding a high level role player two because you can always add more depth guys that have playoff experience the

Thunder are very young I think third youngest team in the league don’t have a ton of experience across the core but even still like I don’t think you need to go out there and make an All-Star caliber player trade to compete with the best in the western conference right now

I’ve got full confidence in this team again one of the best teams in league on both sides of the ball they’re third in net writing every single statistic says that this Thunder team as much as some people want to believe oh they’re going to get exposed in the playoffs like

They’re too young every single metric whether it’s Advanced it’s basic it’s just watching the game says this Thunder team is dangerous right now they can compete with anybody on any given night I dropped my bold predictions video earlier today as I’m recording this video talking about how the Thunder

Could potentially make a Western Conference Finals run I believe they’ve got a fantastic shot at it this season which I’ll be honest I didn’t even think was going to be possible I thought we’d come into this year maybe we go in and sneak for a top seed we win a playoff

Series and I was perfectly content with that and even still I will be content if we just win a single playoff series because we weren’t supposed to be in this position and we’re a young team with such a bright futuree there’s still so many years left of this young Corp

Playing together but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this team is standing there in the Western Conference Finals as one of the two final Western Conference teams remaining and hey they keep playing like this I might start saying crazy stuff and saying that I’m

Going to pick the Thunder to come out of the Western Conference would that be biased yes and I’m not saying that’s going to happen like right now because there still are some great teams out there you know Denver still exists Minnesota has been great I’m waiting for

Some of the other more veteran Laden teams to put it together but hey right now the way the Thunder are playing you can’t deny that they’re one of the best teams in the world they’ve got a shot in the Western Conference playoffs and this team isn’t just you know coming in a

Couple years they’re here right now before the season I dropped a video talking about the Thunder and saying that the league should be terrified of what was to come from them a lot of people clown me in the comment section of that video saying that oh what should

I be terrified of an 11 seed a playing team I made a tweak heading into the season as well saying that there are a lot of great teams out there but if you think the Thunder aren’t going to be one of the playoff teams in the Western

Conference I don’t know what to tell you because that’s not going to be the case also got clowned by a lot of people under that tweet there have been multiple times where I’ve said wait and see what’s going to happen with this Thunder team I promise you the league

Isn’t ready multiple times I’ve been said I’m delusional I’m a biased Oklahoma City fan which yeah I am a bit biased but even still the Thunder up to this point heading into 2024 January 3rd are currently sitting with a record that is the second best in the Western

Conference top four in the NBA third best net rating top five offensive and defensive ranking and right now they’re currently on Pace for 59 wins in a season that a lot of people people thought they were going to get exposed that they weren’t going to be ready for

The challenge they’ve stepped up in a big way in the Oklahoma City Thunder are proving everybody wrong so yeah with all that being said those are my thoughts on the Thunder at the moment I am super stoked it’s been amazing to watch this team so far I’m super excited I’m

Actually going to be seeing them live in Oklahoma City in about a week from now I’m going to be there for the Portland Trailblazers game in OKC as well as the Orlando Magic game so if you’re at one of those games definitely let me know

They have one of the easier remaining schedules also by the way like they’ve played a harder schedule compared to most teams so far and it still has not mattered I don’t know if the Thunder are going to get the 60 wins but at the very least I think 50 is very very attainable
