Hawks vs. Pacers Postgame Press Conference: Quin Snyder

Well that that was one of uh sometimes there’s games you don’t play well and uh we didn’t I don’t know that we did anything at the level that we needed to um you know to win against these guys um on the road that they’re obviously

Playing well and um did a lot of things that made it hard on us but um we didn’t we didn’t have it tonight what would you attribute that maybe slow start or lack of effort I wouldn’t yeah I I always hesitate to talk about lack of effort um

You know we need to run back harder um even early in the game you know and that that urgency that you need against these guys in transition um and that started early where you you don’t you don’t have a man um you just have to find someone when

They’re pushing the ball the way they were and that happened to us both on misses um where we had a trouble converting early and then but it happened to us on mfield goals as well um you know that that’s something that that we know and we’ve got to clean up

And we’ve got to be ready to go um in Orlando I know you you you always talk about you don’t like to pay attention to what’s out there on social media in terms of rumors or anything and you want to leave that to the front office but at

The same time these guys are human how much would you maybe attribute to that to kind of floating around you know I I I really like our team and you know whatever there’s always chatter and rumors and things like that and you know we we like I said I I’m not going to

Comment on those things is this a game um that you guys are anticipating I think we see the same team next Friday do you get a sense that the guys are anticipating this game how to recover from it I I think the the biggest thing for us is the next game in

Front of us you know that we’ve got a a game down in Orlando against a team that we had a really close game with in in Mexico and uh you know we need to come out with more focus and you know execute better on both ends of the floor um that

Was missing tonight and AJ and Seth they both were able to knock down a three-point bucket at the end of the game just speak on what you’ve been seeing from them AJ yeah you know you always want players that have been putting the time in you know it’s not

Something that every every body sees but whether it’s you know getting up you know before we have a shoot around or staying late and um and working and uh you’d rather them not get those minutes um because we’re down where we are but every minute’s important and it’s good

For those guys to have an opportunity to get out there and um have confidence in both of them and you know when they’ve got an open look we want them to want them to take him and that’s what they did tonight good to see the ball go in

The hole for him and it was nice to see Trey also so um his unselfishness I thought it was pretty unselfish play him taking that foul for bogey can you speak on that and how in the moment he was able to recognize that his teammate

Isn’t he yeah you know I think our team over the course of the year has been that you know and whether it’s Trey or DJ or you know Clint picks Trey up Trey picks Clint up and DJ picks up bogy and sadik picks up JJ um we need to pick

Each other up um during the course of the game even more not just in dead ball situations but of course that’s um I think our guys have character and and we’ll bounce back okay okay app it yep

  1. I have been watching the nba for over 35 years. Today’s defense is unbelievable bad. Just so soft with no effort. My goodness it’s bad.
