Simone Fontecchio Is Going BERSERK On The Utah Jazz
Today we will be reviewing some of the finer work of the one and only Simone fanto who is obviously the Italian born sensation who was at one point regarded as the finest of the finest crop of small forwards outside of the NBA before we get into this one make sure to like
The video subscribe and turn on post notifications if you haven’t already to get more Utah Jazz content with that being said let’s go ahead and get into the video going into his second season with the Utah Jazz things were looking a little bit iffy but at full health he
Started to produce finally that being said overall this season we’re seeing him put up some quite entertaining numbers to the point so much so that he started in half of the Utah Jazz games that he’s actually been a part of with that in mind he started in 16 out of the
32 matches that he’s been a part of and he has averaged 21.4 minutes per game and in that time he’s put up 9.1 points points three rebounds 1.1 assists 6 steals point4 blocks and a single turnover per game putting this together on 46.2% shooting from the field and
39.9% shooting from Beyond The Ark along with 78.1% from the free throw line This most recently comes off the back of a performance against the Dallas Mavericks in which he was the team’s leading scorer and the man who really put them in position to go ahead and handedly
Deal with the Mavericks and Luca donic now in the 127 to 90 Victory he actually shot 10 of 16 from the field for 62.5% he was three of eight from three only out shot by the one and only Lowry marinan who was four of eight and he
Also hit the one free throw that he took to combine along with six rebounds and two assists now along with this he had two steals one block and only a single turnover over to give himself 24 points on the night and a box score plus minus of a positive
27 now his overall true shooting percentage at this point in the season is 61.1 which is quite high and honestly extremely impressive but considering his usage it does make sense with that being said over the past five games he’s only started in two of those games but the
Ability for him to be put into the starting lineup and also pulled out on a whim and still being capable of producing at the high level that he does stands to the pedigree that he comes from and just his General ability to have a certain level of adaptability
That most players quite simply don’t have now across the last five games he’s averaged 23.4 minutes 11 points per game 3.8 rebounds 8 assists 1.2 steals point4 blocks and 1.2 turnovers shooting 56.8% from the field and 40.9% from the three-point line now understanding that the biggest numbers from his season so
Far are the 9.1 points per game the three rebounds and the 1.1 assist but to go and look specifically at the games that he started because those are the games where he’s playing the bulk of the minutes that he’s had this season and sees most of the games where he does end
Up playing closer to 30 or over 30 minutes it’s important to recognize that he averages 28.6 minutes in those contests along with that he averages 12 .6 points 4.1 rebounds 1.9 assists .9 steals 6 blocks .9 turnovers and manages to shoot 44.3% from the field to go along with 37% from
Beyond The Arc and 78.1% from the free throw line now in this same time he only averages 1.9 fouls per game however his box score plus minus is surprisingly a negative 3.5 four this is not to say that he’s a bad player that he particularly has any egregious misgivings but it just stands
To show that there have been some less than favorable situations that he has found himself in with an outlier game being actually the other time the Utah Jazz played the Dallas Mavericks in which he was a box he has a box score plus minus of a -40 now outliers aside
He does tend to play well in the M that he has and quite honestly since he’s come into the season he’s come with the new rejuvenated Vigor about himself that allows him to outperform the expectations that we really had for him going into the year now last season we
Knew that him coming over here from overseas would allow him to be a shooter and really just stretch the floor and make those extra passes nobody had supremely high expectations for him which makes it even more impressive that fento has been able to go so far with
This Utah Jazz roster now the biggest thing about this Utah Jazz roster to keep in mind is that there’s no genuinely heavy ego individual it’s a culmination of talent and individuals that just have fun and enjoy being around one another anytime you see a social media post or anything about them
At practice at games postgame whatever the situation may be they’re always funloving having fun joking with one another and fonio definitely exudes that energy particularly when you see him around the lone Allstar of the team lry Markin or Kelly o linic just really all the guys having fun and really going out
There and getting after it and over the past 11 games it’s really showing as they are eight and three in those contests now when it comes to fono specifically he really finds himself in an interesting spot where he’s not the most athletic on the court and often
Times he might not particularly be the best shooter but he also puts himself in the best positions to allow his team to win games and really stay in games that at times they really are being outplayed in for example he finds himself in a lot of situations where his three-point shot
And his ability to make the extra EXT ra pass can lead to him having a game where he has four or five assists at random because most likely you’re expecting him to have the one to two range as he does average almost exactly one assist on the
Year per game with that being said he does a lot of things well and he seems to find a way to be effective when his shot isn’t falling which is very important as an overseas player he also understands the importance of moving off the ball and because of his shooting
Prowess it also allows him to put himself in positions where he can be the most successful to assist his team with his own shooting and also spreading the floor to allow players like the Colin seon and the Keon georgees and the Jordan Clarkson of the
World to drive at the rim and have a potential opportunity to kick the ball out and trust him to hit that shot it’s safe to say that with him shooting a 39.9% clip it’s a pretty reliable shot to go to Simone fanto is one of the more interesting players in the league not
Only because he is Italian but more so because of what he embodies his ability AB ility to move off the ball his ability to pass the ball effectively when necessary his ability to rebound at a very high rate really at random when it’s really needed and his ability to be
A surprising positive on the defensive side of the ball all needs to be taken in account alongside his shooting While most people will come to recognize him as an elite shooter in this league it is important to also understand that he really is the epitome of a 3 andd player
That has so much more to his game because he chooses to add it there’s so many players in the league that lack the IQ necessary to make certain plays to make the extra pass or to get on the glass and attack the boards when they realize their team really needs it and
They just consciously don’t have the intelligence or The Savvy to make that sort of play happen but for fono it’s very different because he goes out of his way to make those extra plays especially when he’s having a poor shooting night and there’s something to really be said about that because you
Can’t teach hustle and you can’t teach heart in the NBA and players either have it or they don’t and when you’re a team like the Utah Jazz that doesn’t have a genuine number one option for a championship run it’s imperative that you have a culmination of guys that are
Willing to go the extra mile put in the extra work and make the extra plays happen and quite honestly in my opinion fono is a perfect reason why this team has been successful in its recent runs and why they will continue to be successful going forward thanks for

In this video we drop the update on the recent successes of the best player that Italy has to offer, Simone Fontecchio. Not only has he become a mainstay in the starting lineup, but he’s also putting up critical performances across the recent stretch of games that has seen the team go 8-3 in their last 11. He is truly living up to the title of “Best International SF” that he was scouted as when he was first signed from overseas. There is no doubt that his individual successes as a player will help push the Utah Jazz closer to their dreams of making a playoff push!

Thanks for the video!
Another banger. Simone is that guy and as you said, guys that can give you something even if the shot isn't falling are super valuable
🏀
Great stuff. I feel like he has some similiarities with Vezenkov from the Kings while Simone is doing a lot better.
❤❤❤❤❤
Fontecchio is truly a quality player.
Some of the same in his game compared to Lauri, but for the lack of playmaking in the team making some of their skills somewhat redundand.
With Kessler at his best protecting the paint, Lauri as PF, Fontecchio as SF, Jazz might actually be able to go somewhere even the perimetre defence defence might be an issue and defence on paint too heavily dependand on Kessler being at his best.
Not sure what to with guards, but let's imagine Keyonte taking a leap with his playmaking, paired with Dunn or THT, there might be something perhaps??
Normally a succesfull team can only afford 1 bad shooter, and one bad defender and reguires preferrably at least 2 capable playmakers in starting XI. Hard to find 5 players to tick those boxes from current roster, but the "emergence" of Fontecchio definitely does give the another interesting option to build upon.
Great video! Simone is very underrated, even within Jazz fandom. But when you watch him, you see the seasons overseas has really refined his game and now that he has grasped the speed of the NBA, he is starting to shine. He and Agbaji give the Jazz a ton of versatility. Personally, Fontecchio heavily resembles Gordon Hayward
Fontecchio è devastante!
Always rated Simone, on Reddit people weren't too high on him.
Preach!!!
Simone has quietly become very good defender. That was biggest suprise abt him, didnt see that coming. Jazz need good defenders, after all they have Collins and Keyonte who both are simply horrible defenders. I just hate see Collins in game because that. I dont mind if his shot dont go down, that happens to everyone. But it really hurt watch how he can managed to be worse and worse in defence every time when i watch jazz game. Then jazz have Sexon who is way too small in defence, he have skills and will to defend, he is just too small. Clarkson is not either famous of his defence end but i must say that he look good in defence when compared Collins or Keyonte. Keyonte may be better defender over time but he should show some development, now i dont see any. Just like Collins, he is so bad defender that it really hurt to watch. If he cant be better defender, he never be that big piece what jazz hope he will be. He have offence skills, especially he become very good passer i belive. He see those passes very well and execute pass well enough.
Anyway this video was abt Simone, i like to see him playing. He is good piece to have in this team. He is better than last year and has showing some things what i didnt expect. Also his attitude and playing style fit well with this jazz team.
More valuable than John Collins? Id say yes for the starting lineup
Yo! Your videos are awesome man! I live in slc and have been watching since the beginning of this season. It’s awesome to see someone talking about the jazz because no one else is.
I am a producer and was wondering if you were interested in putting my beats in your videos. I think it could help the flow of your videos! Get back to me
I am italian, and I also live in his home town. So I always had a special look on his career. He is a solid rotation player for any contest in the NBA. And also, if Utah will trust him enough you will discover that sometimes he can really go berserk and score 25 point with ease. But he will never be a real go to guy, he never was, even when he played in Europe. He is a solid scorer and defensive player. That can also go over that role sometimes when he feels it.
Simone is a clean player…🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹

Grande il nostro Fontecchio!!
I am Italian and I must say that I am very happy with his success in the NBA and I think that he is CURRENTLY the best role player in the NBA
Ma quanto è bello il nostro SIMONEFONTECCHIO
The reason why fontecchio knows when to make the extra pass and stuff like that is because in Italy he is THE guy, he knows what it means to be the number 1 option on a team while other roleplayers don't have any experience being that
