Bill Simmons contributing a bit to this by suggesting Shai is better, but I think a large part of that is Bill is a lifelong reverse jinxer. He’s both a diehard Celtic fan and a season ticket holding low-key Clipper fan salty that they gave up Shai so it’s a perfect storm of a double-down reverse jinx to suggest Shai is better than Boston’s superstar.

At the risk of being a pedant, it was actually 4 ECF appearances: 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2023.

This counter circlejerk where people shit on Shai is equally as cringe ngl
Yea I do agree people are taking Tatum for granted and the success he has had while only being 26 years old but Shai is an amazing player that would’ve most likely had a lot of success playing on the Celtics too.

I’ll see what the thunder do in the playoffs.

Shai is elite and so is Tatum I dont have any problem with somebody saying one is more talented than the other. Personally though I have Tatum over Shai just because of his success in the playoffs.
