I’ve been saying it for a minute. Wood in the line up takes LeBron off the 4. We don’t want LeBron to be the last line of defense when AD is switched onto a guard on the perimeter. Our defenses’ weak point is AD being taken away from the rim. Thats what opposing offenses want.

Having another shooter in the front court also removes a man from the paint as well. It’s no secret that some of our best line ups this year have had Wood playing alongside Bron and AD.

Numbers match the eye test. Would love to see this line up with more. Bigger sample size makes the numbers more reliable

Doesn’t need to start. But def should be playing 20+ a night. He can space the floor, rebounds really well, and competes defensively.

Lakers coaching staff showing Ham the numbers behind this lineup

Wood usually plays well with Davis and LeBron and terrible with the bench guys.

He brings a lot of rebs with consistency too.

This has always been the case. Yet Ham loves playing Cam and Vando together

Wood being out of the rotation is a war crime. He is one of if not the most skilled backup bigs in the NBA. He’s not a stiff like Hayes, he can’t actually dribble, shoot, and operate outside 3+ feet. Just no post up.

Wood does not need to start. He just needs more minutes.

  9. Don’t show this to Ham.

    He’ll cut his minutes again.

  10. Reddish or Vando need need to be in these lineups so there’s only one non-shooter

  11. Odd-Direction9452

Doesn’t need to start but should be closing games.

I thought for sure Ham was going to pull him Christie to start the 4th after a great end to the third. I was pleasantly surprised to see him stick with the lineup that was rolling in the third.

    Maybe he is learning…finally.

I’ve been hating on wood but there’s no doubt he is needed to come off the bench. Can’t believe ham was playing Hayes. Wood was exceptional last night especially on the glass. Got some nice blocks too. Great game from him

Considering that ham sits LeBron first and the latter mins of the 1st quarter. Maybe pair DLo with AD with those mins. When AD sits at the start of the 2nd, LeBron-Wood-Vando-Christie-Reaves should be the lineup.

This roster should allow the pairing of either DLo-AD and LeBron-Wood-Reaves in the floor. They cannot have lineups with either of those or a subsection of those on the floor.

  15. No shit. Hayes would be a decent player if the game didn’t had a basketball, but since it has, he just can’t even be on the field.

He’s been solid and needs more minutes to get into a flow. Ham puts him in for 34 seconds.

Haven’t seen anyone else say it directly:
Swap Cam for Wood in the starting lineup

Cover off the ‘bigs’ minutes with LeBron, AD, Wood, Rui and a bit of Vando

  18. motorboat_mcgee

Personally I see Wood and Rui as pretty interchangeable.

  19. thedonjefron69

Hayes really needs to get DNPd or play extremely limited minutes. Dude is a garbage time player

We should be playing playing the 2020 way. Bully these teams. AD , Bron ,Wood , AR15 and rotating defense / offense to close out games.
