  1. I had Mays on my Fantasy team. Dude was dropping 10+ assists a game like it was nothing when he was starting.

Also gonna use this post to say cam reddish should’ve went to the g league

  3. He lit the Lakers up and now he’s going to be nonexistent 😂

Most of y’all don’t know who he is but this is a pretty decent signing. In 26 mins he dropped 15/5/8 with 2 steals & 3 triples on us earlier this year by the way.

Basically he’s an NBA ready PG that was waived by Portland because he’s on a non-guaranteed contract. If DLo gets injured again, he can play real NBA minutes, unlike JHS.

Blazers fan here, he’s a pretty decent player and kind of a fan favorite. He’s been cold shooting the ball this year but he definitely knows how to run an offense pretty well, and I think he’s a better shooter than this year’s numbers might suggest (career 34% from three, and was a 35% guy in college too). And he’s also not a complete disaster defensively like so many other third string PGs.

He’s played a lot of garbage time where he just comes in for 5 minutes, goes 0/2 or something which skews his stats, but in 20 career games where he’s played more than 20 minutes, he’s averaging 13ppg, 6.1apg, 3.4 rpg on 49/38/88 (58% TS) splits with only 1.3 turnovers per game so I think he’s for sure a NBA rotation quality player.

Definitely would be better for you guys than Hood-Schifino minutes.

  7. Cue the inevitable bitching and moaning by fans who negatively overreact to every piece of news.

He’s a two-way player, basically at the very end of the depth chart. He’s had several solid games this year with Portland. No he’s not going to save our season, but he’ll be more useful than Alex Fudge

  8. He can play, but what’s with Pelinka’s affinity for tall, slow footed guards? 😂

This makes the JHS drafting look even uglier

so this seems obvious that Mays and Windler are going to be converted to normal contracts in a week and that we’re preparing a 4 for 2 trade in 7 days. with the given rumors and klutch connections I predict we’re doing one of two trades:

    1. dlo/rui/JHS/hayes for lavine/drummond
    2. dlo/rui/JHS/hayes for murray/capela

Obviously we add draft compensation to both packages. I think we’re keeping Rui out indefinitely, as well as JHS and Hayes. Dlo playing last night was probably to show that he’s good to go.

that leaves our 9 man hypothetical rotations like this

    AD/ Drummond or Capela
    Bron/Vando/Prince/Reddish
    AR/Gabe/ Lavine or Murray

    That good enough to win?

  11. With this JHS can finally play the rest of the year in the G League probably

As a Hawks fan, you got a guy who always plays the right way and makes very few “brain-dead” mistakes. The only issue is he can’t/won’t shoot threes. Basically think of a B-grade version of Tre Jones from the Spurs.

  13. BehavioralSink

Treat him well! Solid backup point guard that doesn’t rattle easily.

  14. KingNephew

He’s probably getting the JHS random 5-10 garbage time minutes. Actually a good 2 way signing.

  15. This probably means we can finally send JHS to the G-League to actually develop. It’s a win-win. Not doing JHS any favors just having him sit on the bench, the kid needs time to develop.

  16. redundantPOINT

Oh so we’re at this stage of the season where we hope a g league call up saves us lol

  17. Goood pick up. Taking JHS spot as 3rd string PG.

  18. coachwyers

Good signing for a 3rd string PG. Combo guard that can score (needs to be more consistent on outside shots) and is not the best on ball defender because of lack of foot speed, but plays help defense and passing lanes well for steals.

  19. StoneColdAM

That’s good, we need another PG while Vincent is gone.

  20. RIronmanS

Very solid signing. He’s a good end of rotation player and won’t screw you over if he’s out there. Smart player, but not the most athletic so can be beat defensively. Overall, a smart defender though. Really great 2 way deal, surprised Portland let him go.

  21. pinktwhite

Does this mean D’Lo is getting his starting job back?

  22. rational_overthinker

Well I’d rather watch this dude than whatever you call what JHS did against Jaquez and the Heat.

  23. 2Legitcity

i hope he has enough flex tape to fix the lakers /s

  24. Odd-Direction9452

Actual rotation player and necessary pg depth pre-DLo trade. If he can find that shooting stroke again we have something

  25. LudwigNasche

This is something I was expecting earlier, but I guess the FO was expecting Gabe would be available sooner. Good move, even with Dlo back we need a backup good enough to play a little bit every game something Fino is definitely not ready to do.

  26. fastlikeanascar

So who’s losing their spot? Hodge, Castleton, or Windler? As far as I know, we can only have 3 two way guys.
