I honestly don’t understand why we wasted all this time with him rotting away doing nothing when it’s been clear as day for a long time now he wasn’t/isn’t NBA ready and when he could’ve been potentially developing some. Who led that decision?

Let’s hope the knowledge, the drama, the ups, the random occurrences of minutes, and the overall environment of the lakers toughen him up quickly so that he can perform on g-league stage then eventually us.

  3. Mayve they wanted him to be exposed to NBA for long enough to show him the ropes of the big pro-leaguers before they sent him to the G-League?

Bro should’ve been there this whole time. Glad he’s finally getting these reps. I know most in the sub are down on JHS but I promise y’all he gonna be a good player for us in the future.

Yup, they wasted half a season of development. I think he’s already an above average NBA defender and solid playmaker.

But that jumper needs serious work and he’ll need to figure out how to get crafty finishing around the rim. He’s not an elite athlete and is prone to getting blocked, shying away from contact and relying on his midrange/floater.

Ion get why Rob chose a project over a ready made player ready to play. Jamie was legit right there.

I mean, It’s There!! If it would make him somehow Worse to be in the G-League, why is there a G-League?!? 💁🏼‍♂️

44% from the field? How many shot did he take?

  9. NotTheMamba

He’s a baller. Just needs minutes. Glad he’s in the G League getting reps in.

Good. Get some run JHS. Hope you are ready next year.

The Skylar Mays + Windler guys seem much better 13th and 14th man bench warmers than JHS and Lewis. The Lakers literally wasted a third of JHS’ and Max’s developmental season imo.

  11. Should’ve started in the G league this whole time….. especially coming back from injury

  12. outsidehere

Yep. He’s not ready to contribute to a team like this. He needs time to develop

Skylar may signing happening let to him being demoted ….people like to make it more than what it is.

there’re some narrow-minded decided that he is NBA-ready but of course, look back to that block JJJ threw on him. Might cause him trouble to sleep until next Heat game he did something to revenge.

Tbf we had so.many injuries most of our two ways and rookies have played more minutes than they should.

  16. unless they are freak athletes or have elite skills from day 1, most 1 and done college pgs take a year or two to be nba ready. lakers probably drafted JHS not just on his potential but also bc he seemed NBA ready in college, however he is not. he should have been in the gleague from the beginning instead of rotting on the bench so he can get shit on by fans bc hes not as nba ready as a 4 year college pro

i still believe in the kids tools, great size, frame, good playmaker and scorer out of the PnR(showed it in college) and even though hes not an elite athlete hes good laterally and can defend.

    I can’t stand guards that can’t shoot.
