I mean, he correctly stated as a rookie that LeBron wasn’t better than him, teammates now say he’s as good as Kobe. Michael Jordan, you’re up next. Air Mathurin has a nice ring to it.
Last.6 games (caveat 5 at home where he’s far more efficient), 21 ppg, 60% FG, 46% 3PT, 4.2 rpg, assist to turnover ratio per game of 2 to 1.3.
Big chance to step up in Hali’s absence…. can he/will he stay consistent?

He’s literally my favorite player to watch recently because you can see him improve and grow almost every game. I am insanely excited to see where he’s at 5 years down the line.
“Kobe?”
*shakes head*
“Mathurin. Mathurin.”
I always thought something about his voice and his face. The look in his eyes gave me Kobe vibes. He has that kind of shooting guard dedication and single focus on scoring. Personality wise he I think he might be a little more reserved than kobe could be. Kobe had a weird awkward thing where he tried to act like MJ but it was in an awkward kobe way. Still Mathurin has the desire to be the best and the narrow focus. Plus he kinda has that classic shooting guard look in his eyes all the time. He kinda reminds me of kobe in the way jimmy butler reminds me of Micheal Jordan. Although jimmy butler legitimately does look like Micheal Jordan.
