[Kris Pursiainen] In the 2021-22 NBA Season, Julius Randle was part of a secret meeting between the Knicks and Kings’ front offices about a potential deal. The meeting happened after the Kings and Knicks played a regular season game against each other. Knicks have Brogdon, Portland tonight.

[For readers who are sure to complain: Sacramento wanted to add Randle as part of a perceived buy-low opportunity. Neither Fox nor Haliburton were available in exchange for the forward, who New York kept and received All-NBA production from the next season.](https://x.com/krispursiainen/status/1744754608323383718?s=20)
Things I was not expecting to read today…
Guess it was revolving around Barnes?
I don’t get what the insinuation is. That we’re having secret talks with Portland right now? About Randle?
This kids got sources? Whats he hinting at
This is interesting stuff. Not surprised that other teams tried to by low or that other teams made offers. The fact that Randle was part of the meeting goes to show how much the FO has his back. They’re not gunna trade dude to the pistons without any notice for example
a previous FO would have panicked and made a trade.
lmao there are receipts from that season in this sub. quite a lot of people here wanted to ship him out for peanuts. second round picks or garbage players or even nothing at all
This is some low tier reporting if it’s trying to insinuate a potential secret meeting between Portland and us. I guess Randle will be there to?
The way this is worded makes it seem like Julius himself was in the meeting talking about him being traded lol
I’m not clear on what this is trying to say. What’s the connection Kings <> Portland? I don’t get it
At the time, it definitely felt like someone was going to trade for Sabonis or Randle, and Randle had such a down year that he lost so much value. Maybe that is part of why Randle goes at Sabonis so fucking hard?
Also think Sabonis put up like a 12/12 (100%fg) game against us that season
wtf does one have to do with another
Welp, thats a big ol’ nothing burger of a tweet.
Because front offices usually announce their trade meetings

This tweet is a huge leap lmao
