I’m good with that. He’s still mostly young. Just not sure about the price we’d have to pay to get him back, and we know that if it’s just us and the Hawks, they will negotiate hard, cause it would be pretty embarrassing to get back significantly less than what they gave up.

Branham, McDermott, Hornets pick and maybe the Chicago pick? Throw in some seconds if needed
I don’t like shams and I don’t trust him at all. He’s probably been told by dj agent to show their “interest” for him to boost that value but no way wright is that “interested” after his press tour shitting on this franchise. My dad always told me don’t burn bridges in your profession and that’s exactly what this man did . We sold DJ at the absolute perfect time and I loved watching him but I’ll be damned if I support someone who was so openly rude about pop and this franchise

He is exactly what we need and he’s on a great contract. Bryan wright needs to get it done. This might even save the season. It’s possible we can push for a play in spot

I want it to happen because the idea of trading away good players just to get bad, getting a good draft pick then getting the good player back is really funny

If it’s extremely cheap, sure. I wouldn’t give the Hawks back either pick, and I wouldn’t trade any of our young guys other than maybe Wesley or Branham.
I don’t think he’s a great fit anyway. We want to put a *great* passer next to Wemby. DJ is average at best. He’s a pnr scorer who makes basic reads. Next to Wemby it would obviously still work but that’s because most point guards work next to Wemby. If I’m the FO, I’m looking for a Trae Young type of passer. Someone who’s got good touch and can feel the angles. That’s not Murray.
I also don’t like the type of mentality he has. The extra stuff that comes with him just isn’t worth it.

YES! I hope it’s real but I doubt it. What PG is this draft is gonna be better than DJM within the next few years? He would help both Wemby and Sochan develop so much faster.

I don’t really see the point in doing it this season. It would probably just make our pick worse without really giving us a good shot at the play ins. I’m not against trying to get dejounte this summer, he’d make us so much more watchable and he has experience with pop, but after all the shit he talked after the trade I don’t really prefer DJ to any other elite guard we can try to bring in. if he’s really the best option and he wants to come back then cool but I think our record this season is too far back to salvage a winning season out of it

I say yes if we have him with another great player just to have DJ sit on the bench and play for a few minutes each game and shut his ass up.

Yeah the discussion of it has been happening over [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/NBASpurs/s/lqxvCotxMD).
