Dennis is easily more iconic
Rodman. They played different roles but Jordan never needed scoring help, he needed big men, and Rodman was among the most consistent rebounding bigman of the past 30 years.
Dennis for sure. He’s like the perfect role player for MJ in that era especially. No matter how you slice it, he is statistically one of the most “winning” players to _ever_ do it.
They were both equally impactful in their own ways. I don’t think the ’96-’98 Bulls win with Horace as they did with Dennis. Conversely, Horace was the perfect PF for the first three-peat.
Rodman is one of, if not the greatest defender in the history of the sport. This isn’t even a fair comparison.
Rodman was the best rebounder of all time, elite defender, and didn’t need the ball on offense. He easily has a case for best role player of all time. Horace was great too but Rodman was perfect for a team that already had two elite offensive players plus shooters.

Hot take: Grant was more important because the first three championships set up the team for success with Rodman in the second. Without grant, this team may have fall apart before Rodman had a chance to join.
