[Fischer] Schröder’s former representation advised him to dismiss what became an infamous four-season, $84 million figure from the Lakers once he was traded from OKC: “And I would have signed it. I would never just leave money on the table. My mom didn’t raise me that way.”

>Look for an unresolved or waning partnership between player and team, and a trade often comes with it. After all, we’re only two years — “those two years,” as Schröder recalls them — removed from when Schröder’s former representation advised him to dismiss what became an infamous four-season, $84 million figure from the Lakers once he was traded from OKC. “And I would have signed it,” Schröder told Yahoo Sports. “I would never just leave money on the table. My mom didn’t raise me that way.” That didn’t stop the schadenfreude that followed his every dribble, post after post taunting how he fumbled a bag.

>“It was like my two worst years of my career, and in those two years I made $8 million,” Schröder said. “I had two healthy kids, my mom, my siblings. I can buy anything I want. I had a $70 million contract before. A guy from Germany? From Braunschweig? I’m more than blessed. I’m with the people who love me and was there through the darkest days.”

First it was they never offered now it’s my reps fault bruh I hope you fired them lol

  2. Dennis “claiming he didnt fumble the bag” scrotum

The mean streets of Braunschweig. Few have made it out

I wonder if he had accepted the extension the Lakers would’ve never gone after Russ and done the supposed Buddy Hield trade instead.

At the end of the day you have the final decision

Schrodinger’s contract – When Dennis Schrodinger and a lucrative contract are in a box, but the agent doesn’t open it so you don’t know if it was signed

Bro made an infamously bad choice and is trying to say it was someone else’s fault.

I understand the reasoning tho, nobody wants to look that foolish.

There’s no one on this beautiful earth that is stopping me from signing for 84M.. espenclaly when everyone knew it was an overpay.. I would’ve signed that shit before the lakers came to their senses

Why bring this up now? Timing is a lil sus just admit you fumbled a bag bro…the whole world is already over it lmao

  10. If Dennis signs this then we probably don’t do the Hail Mary trade for Russ in the offseason. Neither player is worth the respective amounts, but the opportunity cost would’ve been soooooooo much lower going forward.

  11. It’s a bit weird how he keeps slightly changing that story. I saw a German interview with him a few months back and there it sounded like the Lakers sort of ghosted him after giving him a verbal offer. No actual offer.

  12. Crazy that people r still talking about this. Hes a a millionaire he will be fine

“I never just did things just to do them, come on. I mean what am I gonna do? Just all of the sudden turn down the Lakers’ money like it’s something to do, come on. I got a little more sense than that….. Yeah, I remember turning down the Lakers’ money.”

Lies lies lies is he lying now or before he said he didn’t sign because he had to follow his heart or some shit like that 😂😂😂

  15. chopsui101

did his agent also tell him to say that he was a 100 million dollar player while laying an absolute dude in the playoffs? Schroder needs to take accountability…..if he had played well or even average in the playoffs he probably would have gotten the 100 million

    Dennis ‘Straight Outta Braunschweig‘ Schroder

I saw Schröder play against the jazz live. And he picked them apart.

I was always amazed that he didn’t sign that deal.

  18. 99.99% of the population has no idea of or access to the difference between making $5 mil/yr and $20 mil/yr, yet this thread is filled with concerned people.

  19. So agent fucked him up …who was his agent and did he fire him asap?

  20. > To be fair: I didn’t choose best wording on this part of my story. I wanted to name the “infamous 4/84 figure” that’s followed Dennis. But I’ve been told 4/84 was never offered from LAL. Why I wrote “figure” not offer. That’s on me. LAL pitched a two-year concept after OKC trade.

Fischer clarifies the 4/84 was never offered. which is in line with what Schroder has said consistently.

According to Schrodinger’s law you can’t have good basketball play and a good AAV at the same time
