Jaylen Brown Demands INVESTIGATION After Overturned Foul in Celtics vs Pacers | Postgame Interview

Bu just said to us he may have like hit you on the head he may made some contact what was your reflection how the play feel I think he obviously hit me in the head I think uh we definitely need to do some investigation that’s all I’m going

To say um I think that was the obvious one like I never heard of head part of the ball um doesn’t make any sense to me then I asked him I went I’ve been asked as they like did I get hit in the head he looks me straight in the face James

And he says no you didn’t get in the head and I’m like okay and then you come down and make on the other end like that costs our team a game and you expect us not to be frustrated you know what I mean we trying to build good habits we trying to

Win as many games as possible and we just Dro one because of that you know so I feel like we got the right to be upset and the league should understand you know of course we going to say something about it after the game you know so so I

Don’t think it should be any fines but I I definitely think that one should be investigated you said you were told the head was part of the B I mean n they didn’t say that but I don’t know uh the thing is even if you did touch the ball like I still

Maintain control so I’m still able to shoot or I still have my own space and then I get hit in the head you know I think that’s the obvious call that for whatever reason it’s just it is what it is but you know I guess yeah that’s what

I heard I heard they say head part of the ball so James told you you did not get hit in the head yeah yeah yeah I asked him did I get hit in the head cuz that was the one question that I wanted to make sure that we both and he said no

And I asked him again are you sure and he said yes and that was what that’s what pissed me off cuz I know I got hit in the head and then you see the replay it’s pretty obvious that I got hit in the head and then you look you look me

In my eye and tell me that I didn’t I think that needs to be investigated it cost my team a game and and of course I’m pissed about it

After the Indiana Pacers secured a close 133-131 win over the Boston Celtics, Buddy Hield spoke about the pivotal overturned foul call on Jaylen Brown. Hield shared his perspective, saying, “I mean, I told Joe what I told Joe … they have three refs out there and they had the replay center … I thought I might have hit him a little bit, but they have three refs out there and they have cameras and they got to slow down the angles of it … I know I touched the ball but I maybe nicked Brown in the head a little bit. I’m not too sure but it’s the end of the game.” Hield’s remarks highlight his uncertainty regarding the contact and his trust in the officials’ decision-making with the aid of replay technology, especially in the critical final moments of the game.

  1. I get that it's frustrating to lose that way. However, if the team had put more emphasis on defence they would not have been in that position. How do you give up 130+ to the Pacers?

  2. Not only is the call bogus, what is this scheduling? Back to back away games vs a quality team? That's an unfair advantage for the home team. Its tough to sweep two away games vs anyone. I have never seen that until this year, and I dont like it.

  3. As a celtic fan. Im glad Jaylen is upset n passionate about the L. That call was BS everybody knows it. Honestly when it goes to replay, to me, the majority of the time they get it correct….Not with this one….All that being said, the game shouldve never come down to that. Once Hali went out, the team thought they could coast, nor did they expect Indy to come out fired up. That third quarter defense was BS, they defense the entire game wasnt good. Also the free throws the entire team was horrible frome the line the last two games. As great of a game as JB had last night, he was bad at the charity stripe both Indy games….Hopefully he can tighten that up, cuzz come playoff time hes gonna be there in the clutch needing to sinkem….

    At the end of the day its a regular season L to a good team, in a great game….. We dont have many Ls this season but almost all of them have been against good teams, and they were all very close….This is feeling like a special group. These type of losses hopefully will make them better for it. Its gonna be tough but I think this group will be the last one standing

  4. It's sick how refs decide close games like this. Brown was hit in the head with the other guy's arm. It was plain as day. Then to call basically the same foul on the other end.

  5. its all good im expecting one of those national TV blow out games on the 30th in Boston, the Pacers can thank the refs for that

  6. even if all 3 refs didnt see the hit to the head, how can an entire secaucus nj replay team not see the hit to the head?????

  7. The NBA refs are overpaid underperforming cheats, it's been happening to so many teams for decades.

  8. Gucci Mane from wish needs to be investigated. Seen better referees at AAU level. Absolutely pathetic the nba has been fixing games more then before now that gambling is legal.

  9. NBA needs to disclose who's in Secaucus making these decisions. The pay no attention to the man behind the curtain is rediculous. I reffed for 23 years and it's tough but to get things wrong on video review is definitely not a good look

  10. You'll aren't the only ones cheated. I've seen you'll benefit from bad foul cslls. If you're going to say anything when you're favored, don't complain when you're not.

  11. Update 4:00 pm pacific NBA two minute report.

    CNC= correct non call

    On replay review, the coach's challenge of the shooting foul called on Hield (IND) was deemed successful. The video clearly shows that Hield reaches forward and makes contact with the ball from behind Brown (BOS). While in contact with the ball, Hield also makes minimal contact with Brown's head, and on review that contact was correctly deemed incidental. As the rulebook makes clear, the mere fact that contact occurs does not necessarily constitute a foul; contact which is incidental to an effort by a player to defend an opponent, reach a loose ball, or perform normal defensive or offensive movements is not considered illegal. Play resumed with IND possession, since Nesmith (IND) had imminent possession at the point of interruption.

    IC= Incorrect call

    Porzingis (BOS) is above the ball and legally contests Mathurin's (IND) shot attempt, with some incidental arm contact occurring concurrent with the block. Referees conducted a replay review to determine if the foul was called with no time remaining on the clock (00:00), and determined it was called before the expiration of time. The clock was reset with 0.6 remaining on the clock. The foul itself was not a reviewable matter under this replay trigger.

    Should have gone to overtime.

  12. And the fact they gave the pacers that rebound. whistle was already blow so players stop playing. Should have been a jump ball.
