Putting aside the Brown stuff, this is the NBA admitting that the refs handed the game-winning free throws to Indiana based on a bogus call.

JB, KP and now JT all tweeting about it? it’s wraps

We’re never gonna see JT shoot free throws again
Lawdawg911
I like that JT is sticking his neck out for his teammates.

Having a ruling to the effect of “the mere fact that the defender made incidental contact is not necessarily illegal if the defenders are attempting to defend or reach for the ball” make all contact incidental (besides obvious intention fouls). Leaves it open to extreme subjectivity and bs validation of referees calls such as this
Note I paraphrased the quote but it is essentially what is said

Let’s say I kicked the ref’s balls like what Draymond does to almost every star and it was purely incedental because I was walking towards him. It’s not a foul right? 😂

Better not clap next game JT. Hell don’t even sneeze or even look at em kinda funny

Makes sense: – A block with incidental contact is not a foul – A block with incidental contact is a foul

This just proves Refs aren’t incompetent but rather they just follow the instructions from the league. Of course the NBA wouldn’t throw them under the bus since they’re just following orders.

This honestly has cost me a lot of faith in the integrity of this league.
Maybe I haven’t watched enough basketball yet, but I have just never seen anything like this.
Ridiculous.

This whole thing is so funny, how many fines will be dished out? I wonder if Buddy Hield gets fined for telling Joe he actually did foul him. Literally everyone other than the ref report has agreed that it was a foul lmao including Lebron and r/nba thats wild
