Spurs MAY TRADE for Dejounte Murray!? San Antonio Spurs trade Rumors

The Atlanta Hawks have put the Jey Murray on the trade block and our San Antonio Spurs are interested I got no love for the F if you want to play tough and want to hate this I we show up and make a statement what’s up San Antonio Spurs

Fans Atlanta Hawks fans welcome to TSR Sports about two weeks ago I did a video just for fun could the San Antonio Spurs possibly be interested in bringing back to Jonathan Murray and then here we are two Lakes later and maybe actually there is some interest from our Spurs bringing

Him back Spurs fans let me know in the comments down below if you are willing to forgive and forget what he said on the social medias what would you be willing to trade for the Jon Murray Atlanta Hawks fans would you be expecting what you sent to the Spurs

Back in return to part ways with Deon let me know in the comments very interest know your thoughts on this hit the thumbs up like support the channel subscribe become part of our wonderful Sports Community let’s get into the article from Sports illustrator and this is a big reason I’m covering this too

Many sites are reporting this seems like there’s a lot of facts behind it to reporting by Shams who you know pretty factual so we’re going to talk about it not practice we’re going to talk about this juray is finally eligible for the Atlanta Hawks to trade him the San

Antonio Spurs seem like an ideal fit do we anyway considering that they’re in dire need of a distributor to get the ball to Victor wama all right all right you got us there desan K Murray if you remember maybe not remember he had an ugly breakup with San Antonio quote the

Way that system set up you g you gun you gun be losing for the next 15 years quote which he wrote on Instagram and there were some other things that didn’t like the Tony Parker situation how that was handled with his minutes Etc so the breakup didn’t go particularly well when

There was a trade and a lot of Spurs fans say hey we don’t want him back because of that it’s business he I’m sure was maybe he wasn’t happy about being traded at the time either maybe he wanted to stay in San Antonio was very angry that he

Left we had to take that in consideration he’s a young man we all make mistakes I don’t want to hold a grudge forever so if he says hey sorry about that you know I was just angry at the time if he was to come back to San

Antonio I would be willing to forgive and forget but that’s just me personally as we move right along regardless of how his exit went things to be smooth over in San Antonio at least professionally and this is the most important thing Spurs fans he and Coach Greg papovich

Are very close quote watching every time deante has returned to San Antonio he and papovich and their interactions it’s very lovely quote said Michelle voo so if he’s getting along with pop which obious one of the most important things getting along with the head coach and he’s good with the other players that’s

The most important thing the fans aren’t too happy hey whatever they may boom whatever if if the organization in him on good terms then okay bring them back but what’s it going to cost us let’s further go further into the article quote jur is PR eligible starting today

The Hawks are going to begin escalating conversations even more Sams reported the Lakers are a Suitor we’ve discussed and we talked about this on the channel to the Lakers seems to have some interest because LeBron needs more help they need a they have a need at that

Position and we’re still waiting to see exactly how his Market shakes out but one team that has a Lev exploratory interest I’m told is his former team the San Antonio Spurs quote the Spurs traded Mur to Atlanta in 2022 so it’s not even two years that was in what July is of

2022 was definitely the summer I feel like it was July I couldn’t be wrong let me know four package centered around first round picks in 2025 and 2027 and a pick swap in 2026 it should be noted I believe none of those pick are protected they’re not Lottery

Protected they’re not top six protected they’re just straight up so if the Hawks were bad in 2025 and had the first overall pick San Antonio’s taking it considering that the Spurs basically own ata’s drafting future perhaps reuniting and feeling so good and Lena with some of their picks could be enough to get

Murray back there is no way that Murray in his current form is worth three first round picks there were questions when the trade was made if Mar was worse than then and I said open I was like yeah we I did a video on this actually uh sometime last year that the Spurs

Kind of fleeced the Atlanta Hawks with that trade I thought that the Hawks gave up way too much for him and I don’t think they’re going to get that back but if they’re looking at things and saying the Trey young de J Murray thing’s not working we’re going to pass on Murray

We’re going to eventually trade Trey young we’re just starting over they’re going to need some of those picks back I don’t see the Spurs parting with all three but maybe they’ll say okay we’ll do the pick Swap and you know that uh 2025 first round pick because we’re not

Expecting to be very good in 2027 so we want to keep that one we also the Spurs have a ton probably too much draft Capital so they could certainly give some to certainly be willing to part with a bunch of second round picks for de Murray don’t tell me you wouldn’t be

Either spur fans the first said all right one first round pick one you know they could Lottery protect these things they could say okay you get all your picks back but they Lottery whatever you know pick swaps the set and the other I’m sure they can make it work if they

Wanted to and the last quote from no actually we get two more from the article last quote from Shams the Spurs are obviously building around Victor wama Devon LEL and they have a ton of draft picks moving forward and I think they’re going to take a very patient

Approach in their billing process yes they are there’s not a real level of Eary in going out there immediately I agree with that as well last thing on here don’t expect the Spurs to make any Blockbuster deals anytime soon but if other teams don’t call Atlanta with a

Stell trade offer the Spurs could swoop in right before the February trade February 8th trade deadline and get Murray back I will say this we do have some vets we could trade maybe a Devonte Graham D mcder whatever the draft picks if Murray is as good

With the organization and with pop as it sounds like in the article I would not be opposed to bring them back I don’t know if he fits the timeline I believe he’s 27 and a lot of our guys are 22 or younger it wouldn’t make us at this point if they traded

Let’s say they made the trade at the last minute minut February 7th the Spurs may have 10 Woods at that point they’re still going to be a lottery team and they would still be a lottery team even with Murray there for the rest of the

Year and then we could have a high pick and a point guard I mean think about it this way first man a lot of you saying hey let’s dra let’s BL Alexander SAR the other Frenchman will have the Eiffel Towers good great we still don’t have a

Point guard to run the offense if he’s on the team however Spurs can make the trade for Murray and still finish as one of the third worst teams and grab him now you’re starting lineup next year looks like and will interchangeable with four and five Wy SAR soan at small Fords

We’ have a we have big a big hu huge front court vasel and J Murray it’s not too bad that actually would be a really strong defensive team would it not Murray still the defensive upgrade of what we have of R point guard we have now keep aell shooting guard

Sewing over to small Ford where now he’s going to have a size advantage and then we have the the Eiffel Towers yeah tell me it doesn’t sound at least a little intriguing I don’t know if it happens I’ve said it before I’ll root for it doesn’t happen hey I’m not going to lose

Any sleep over it but it could be an interesting thing to watch over the uh the next well actually it’s a month today January night literally a month so we’ll keep an eye on this and hope you’re having a great day thank you for tuning in as always ghost firsts

Go when I feel like this I’m aortal when I feel like this I’m immortal when I feel like this I’m AF when I feel like this I’m a

Dejounte Murray back to the Spurs???

  1. Its possible this was all part of the plan. Traded DJ to ensure we tank 2 get Wemby N if Atlanta failed we could trade him back. Think we have starting point guard n back up pg plus we can draft DJ's replacement mold 4 future. We traded Sean Elliott 4 Rodman M traded for Elliot back N kept Rodamn . History repeats itself. We have too many picks anyways.

  2. This up and coming draft has a lot of PG talent. It wouldn’t make any sense to me to trade them any of their draft picks back. It feels like getting back with an ex girlfriend and most of the time that doesn’t work out. If we do bring DJ back, I would trade them that Boston 1st round in 2028, lottery protected 1st in 2027 and a Devonte Graham. Personally I wouldn’t want to give up much for him.

  3. I think giving them our first round pick and Dougie McBuckets to drop some salary… I've been saying this from the start that I want to "Sean Elliot" Murray, if he's in the right headspace on reuniting.

  4. Nah I wouldn’t do it. He shouldn’t have said that in the first place and I don’t wanna trade any of our key players for him.

  5. Sohan can’t score needs to start coming off the bench. Only way I accept Murray back if he apologizes to Spurs nation said some ugly stuff about us in interviews

  6. This season is already done for us so trading for DJ is just a waste of draft picks. Keep Tre in the starting line up. Develop the young guys and draft a PG in the draft.

  7. I’ve been saying this about Kawhi too. Once they start winding down and may want to chase some rings, them and Wemby will be deadly

  8. I’d give up one of the first round picks we got for him, and we get to choose which one year by year. Maybe ship another second, champagnie, & branham.

  9. You know what's funny about 2 to 3 years ago? we were in need of a big man, and we had point guards. But now we have a big man, and now we're in need of point guard, lol. I think this could be a good fit for the spurs cause dejonte does fit that system.

  10. I personally think "Basketball Ball-Wise" Trey Young is a better fit than Dejounte, however, there might be separation anxiety on the part of the Hawks, plus the "Age" Discrepancy would only yield a 3 to 5year window for championships with Trey Young where drafting a young PG would be better timeline fit…….Dejounte not good enough shooter to maximize Wemby pick and roll threat.

  11. Still couldn’t believe how are we not done with this😅
The one who’s begging for him to comeback are probably not real Spurs fans in the first place, but Murray’s fans.
We’re not getting back a guy who humiliated the organization we watched and loved, unless it’s cheap and we throw him in another deal, again, but this time he doesn’t get to decide where he goes.

I wouldn’t put much attention into this, the Spurs are known for having “Interest “ in so many different players in the offseason
for years, and gets no one back lol! This is just a marketing technique .

  12. I’m sorry but I haven’t fallowed everything DJ has said since leaving the franchise. And frankly I don’t care, I’m sure he was hurt when he was traded, he thought he was the franchise. He waited for all the vet to finally leave and thought this team was finally going to be his. Him, Kj and Lonnie and then he gets traded. I’m not mad that they traded him, im just saying. Him and Vic together would be a terror!! Look what DJ did with Jakob P, he got him every game a cool easy 8 points or so. His best years “ Poeltl” now him and Vic, oh my 🤩😱

  13. From a professional stand point hell yes you bring in a proven pg who can shoot an dish command a offense like you want. From a fan standpoint hell naw you don't bring back a person even associated bad attitude and not giving his all ND he trashed his last place.

  14. Yes, why not DJ is in his prime. But it depends on which players to trade returning 2025-2027 first round is fine. But giving first round and additional existing players are too much. Go Wemby Go, Go Spurs Go!!!

  15. I could see the Lakers pushing for to acquire Murray. Lebron and he are close. Far as a return to San Antonio, I'm on the fence. Spurs clearly need a point guard, yet would bringing Murray in disrupt the environment and push them out of landing a potential top 5 pick? On the flip side, they could still acquire him and end up a bottom 3 team and having an experienced PG would be beneficial for Wemby. Lastly, thank you Rich for keeping up on all things Spurs. GSG
