You learn a bit of French in the the how was it how was the plan the the whole the whole experience coming coming to France now um you know they they do a pretty good job of taking a lot of the stress that you know commonly comes with

Travel um so that is one thing that I do give the organizations in the NBA a lot of credit on is that they they they they make it easy on us so uh from that perspective it’s been pretty smooth and is it like a kind of a crazy schedule

For you like you do you bring is crazy the schedule is crazy you know we have a lot of stuff to do you know a lot of uh you know a lot of showing face and and and being in rooms and you know talking to you guys and all that um but that’s

Part of it and it’s an honor to play in this game is there a free time still to to enjoy I don’t know if you bring BR someone with you trying no I’m just trying to catch up on sleep um I have my my older brother and his wife here and I

Haven’t even seen him yet but uh I’ll get to see him soon and uh the free time right now is just spent trying to catch on sleep when did you learn that you were going to be playing in Paris was it June last year yeah yeah yeah exactly

What was your first reaction like is it something you wanted to do an opportunity you wanted to get um it’s definitely it’s definitely a cool opportunity and you have to feel honored to to be able to play in an environment like this and I I think the cool thing

About it is the globalization of the game um you know I I played for I played Team USA this summer and and you see that the game is taken very seriously across across the globe um um so to be a contributing piece in that continued effort is uh is something I don’t really

Take for granted did you already know the team was among the candidates to be playing in Paris next year like last season did you know that there was a chance no no I just I just found out about it this summer okay and about the net the Nets you’re kind of reloading

After the whole the trades last year how is the like is is there most stability of course this season to to tr yeah yeah but I’ll tell you what man it’s always a process it’s always a process um it’s really hard to just scrap teams together

And expect great results off off the rip I think a lot of the success in the NBA comes from a lot of success in all the sports comes from growing together as a unit and and kind of meshing and and figuring out everybody’s roles and and

And and how the the system is going to operate so I think you have to learn to appreciate that process and not and not take it for granted and continue to build throughout it I’m just checking do you know the arena you’ll be playing in we’re not playing

In here no you’re nothing thing there there will be a bit of Riot if only 3,000 people could get it it would be an intimate experience yeah but this is where when we played last year I don’t know if she if she knew I did not I did

Not but it’s I like this gym I like it I would like playing here but you’re playing in which is is it big 16,000 like iconic arena in front because I think Jordan played there 30 years ago with Chicago and the Olympics final will be there too so I’m excited

Then that that might you know that might be a better atmosphere than I’m I’m sure if we played here though I’m sure this place would be rocking yeah I don’t know if you know but will Weaver your your assistant coach he was here he was in Paris last

Year did he yes I did know that did he talk about it did he give you about a little bit cuz one of my uh one of my good friends childhood friends played out here for Paris basketball for a little bit name is Dustin SLA um we

Played out here for a couple years so we did talk about it a little bit and like will what’s his role in the in the coaching staff what what does he bring like um he’s he’s a smart guy he’s a smart guy he’s also kind of funny you

Know he brings the element of that um but yeah just somebody that knows the game well and is able to communicate it well yeah we talked a lot about offensive mind in France sler because Paris was the the leading like offense of the championship do you see that also with the Nets

Definitely does he I don’t know I mean it’s it’s hard to put in it’s hard to to describe right now but you can tell he has a mind for the game and um you know there I I’ll tell you what the the coaching staff amongst themselves talk

So much um the amount of hours they put into everything that we do is a lot um and it and it can become hard to talk about them individually because they do function as a unit but I think that’s for the better uh the fact that they are

On one page about the game to finish um is it do you treat it as a normal regular season game or is it is there extra motivation maybe to to win in Paris um I guess there I guess playing in Paris gives you a little extra

Motivation but it is it is a regular season game but we need them we need all that we can get so so the urgency is high for any game right now for us three days to prepare that’s also something to like there’s the travel but there’s a
