Different circumstances and uh against Great you know competition our guys came out and uh played to our standard and played with a lot of Joy it was awesome just how they rallied together um um you know winning the first three quarters in this place against this offense I

Thought our you know defense dictated a lot try to make it as tough as possible obviously you know you’re not going to stop donic and uh Irving uh but I thought our Collective team defense was phenomenal you know so many different guys stepping up tonight obviously Dez was phenomenal Marcus was phenomenal uh

You know seeing Luke catch fire but you know all the guys off the bench their plus minus scoring rebounding defending overall probably one of the best team wins of the year for conf mindset forward knowing you had a tough break here and now now you got a good win to start I’m just

Going to tell the guys to keep lean into you know how we’ve been approaching the last week um the results are the results but they were the first ones to say it this morning you know if we had dropped a game any of these games but playing

This style this is what you can live with coming out there with that intensity that edge um you know trying to play our brain of basketball for 48 minutes no matter if you’re up or down um the collective you know uh starters guys coming off the bench making

Impactful plays just leaning to things that we’re talking about those guys just as I said before just the ownership’s phenomenal hopefully this again I mean we’re playing with confidence right now so if it adds more or whatnot just keep playing to this level one day at a time

Keep pouring the work individually and as a team and and then um you know we’re going good shape the broadcast caught Marcus saying that it’s being are dislocated is there any news there yeah no immediate news obviously uh injury to be further evaluated you know he’ll probably get checked out tomorrow and

Gives you a lot of you know energy and excitement and even despite you know his return other guys coming back and just the work that we’ve been putting in that y’all don’t get to see every single day has been you know some of the best of the season and we’ve been chipping away

At it but luckily we’re starting to get the results but I think just the confidence and the ownership of where we’re at what we’ve got to do is clicking you talked about Dez uh and his offseason just how that really prepared him for the moment early in the season

Now he’s going to have it for essentially entire season what is this opportunity for him and what did he do well tonight uh man it’s uh obviously you look at you know the dynamic ability you know on the offensive side obviously the playmaking ability scoring ability getting to the free throw line

Three-point shooting I mean you saw you know second half they were just selling out two guys at him every single time and you know fourth quarter we we we turned it over a little bit too much but he’s trying to make the right play uh but the most impressive thing you know

Even when he was coming off of surgery you know in the summer was he was doing everything possible to be in the best shape and then when he got cleared to get on the court and his basketball activity obviously the skill development is is one thing but his conditioning you

Know obviously do we expect him playing 40 minutes A Night at this stage you know we were going to build up to that but uh he was fully ready for it um his confidence in September as he was telling us he’s like man I’ve been working whatever you need I’m you know

I’m I’m going to be ready to go my body feels I’m in the best shape possible you see how hard he plays uh transition downhill drives cutting without the ball pick and roll having a process the mental physical side um obviously that was on full display tonight and pretty much all season
