Chris Finch after loss in Boston: ‘We should’ve won this game’

Chris Finch after loss in Boston: ‘We should’ve won this game’

Well I mean um the difference was uh a lot of silly mistake silly mistakes breakdowns bad offense to end the game you know um we should have we should have won this game um all credit to the Celtics you know they beat it they took it from us

Um but yeah we had we did everything we wanted to do to put ourselves in position to win and our offense broke down at the end and you know so did our defense too but um uh yeah just lots of lots of uh kind of mental errors on both

Ends yeah I mean we had four I mean um uh four turn I think Anthony had four turnovers you know in that um closing stretch just too much ISO too much ISO against a really good defense you know we we built a lead um and we were for

The most part throughout the entire game playing with good movement moving the ball you know Kyle was really good for this that stretch um and it just became um you know again just got too stagnant and then then we’re relying on uh one pass and a shot or you know drive it at

The end of the clock uh and then defensively you know just got the uh loosen pick and roll we weren’t able to stop them coming downhill and then when we were they opened up a lot of Shooters so yeah what what specifically uh did they do to get Tatum going in the fourth

Quarter at overtime I mean they just put him in pick and roll and he just kind of you know he had some momentum drives against us for one um you know he hit a couple tough step backs that’s what he does you know we want to try to take those away

So he got those those guys going but uh I mean the real thing that got him going was Jaden McDaniel was in foul trouble um so I thought he was a little unfortunate in some of those uh calls but you know that hurt that not having

Him out there definitely hurt us so is there lessons you can draw from what happened tonight two games when it comes to the L yeah I mean uh yeah absolutely um you know this is how we closed games last year and it didn’t really work for

Us you know and we’ve been good because you know we’ve been able to mix in a lot of different things to close games at the heart of it obviously is Mike and Rudy um but we can pivot the cat we can we certainly have aunt who’s making a

Lot of plays um but um yeah we just we got to be that’s who we are right now we have to use it all so in place of Rudy and Mike you started nille and Kyle who seem to play really well toight what what stood out about them in this

Game well I mean I thought Kyle played an an incredibly smart game um out there was the Catalyst for a lot of our movement whether it be screening or passing um um you know uh nille was his normal self he battled everywhere made shots it was really came alive you know

He’s been struggling to connect uh from deep but he really played with a lot of confidence a lot of of pop and he made a bunch of timely ones so it was really good to see that but you know again the ball was moving and there was a bit of a

Flow and and um and he was able to benefit from that was the the the ball movement kind of creating the space it seemed like for the there was a lot of space uh on the floor in this game I mean obviously you’re going have more space without Rudy around the basket but

Yeah I think yeah I thought we were active cutting and I was open up some uh areas for us to drive you know they’re very very good defensive team uh they can guard you one-on-one they’re heavy in the gaps um so you have to cut and

Move against them to try to loosen it up to ex specifically we saw make a lot of really good decisions moment on consistent basis oh for sure you know this is all part of the growth curve um all part of learning you know it’s not I think you can’t be

Wired to try to score in these moments you got to be wired to make the right play you know they’re going to load up against you um you can’t bleed the clock unnecessarily cuz when they do come and trap you you know we need time at the

End of it to move it um you know these are all things that we we’re harping on um and you know the turnovers is the passing we got to clean up the passing you know absolutely have to clean up the passing

  1. Great energy considering the circumstances!! Suuuper fun game to watch. Top 5 all year for sure.

We had this in the bag up 7, but we missed the veteran play of Conley & Gobert most in the final minutes.

Either way heck of a game and super entertaining 👏

  2. Wolves vs the refs in the 4th quarter….maybe the refs felt bad because the nba admitted to missed calls in the indiana game against boston

  3. That’s the problem with NBA home team always gets the calls. The refs always tend to dictate the flow of the game much more than they should.

  4. Should I coulda water doesn’t when you basketball games, the Celtics beat you. And you had some place where there should’ve been calls against you this night I saw about eight of them so let’s not talk about the refs playing to help the Celtics… It’s NBA happens to everybody and by the way the Celtics came back you were ahead and you lost😂😂😂😂

  5. Edwards should have stopped playing iso ball there’s no point on iso ball vs celtics they are really good on 1-1 defense

  6. Ant was 1/7 with multiple turnovers in the 4th and OT

He was playing excellent through 3 quarters but couldn’t sustain it

  7. All these wolves vs ref but couple of nights ago celtics got fucked over refs in the nba just fucks over every team not just when they play the celtics just say you hate the celtics

  8. Refs cheated the end of 4th. Challenge on ANT was a foul by horford and celtics got a turnover. Flop offensive foul for white. Nba is terrible, Celtics guaranteed a win after jaylen brown crybaby. 😅

  9. That call on NAW late in the 4th was a BS offensive foul. White didnt have the position to stop his momentum so calling that at that time was trash. Meanwhile Jaylen Brown gets to forearm guys off on offense. The fix was on… again.
