What do you want him to say? “I’m just waiting for my contract to end so I can resign in Milwaukee for the vet min”?

  2. bballjunkie

Miss you Jrue. I hope the crowd gives him a warm welcome.

Can’t blame him. Had an article about him wanting to stay in Milwaukee until he retires, how connected he and his wife were to the community, and the ink wasn’t even dry and he gets traded twice. Now he’s on a better team than he would’ve been in Milwaukee most likely.

  4. Jure is a fierce competitor. What do you expect him to say.

I love hearing this from him.

I constantly wonder if he’s going to get the extension he wants. I just don’t see it happening.

Him getting traded definitely lowered his chances of getting $40m/year

it only hurts me in a way that i miss his time in mke, but i have no issue with what he says at all. We know he genuinely cherish his time h ere, but are you supposed to say: ” i miss my old team, i wanna go back there” few hours before the game?

I’d say he’s right, for now.

They’re # 1 seed by a healthy margin and just beat the # 1 west seed in OT, and we’re over here still struggling to perform outside of just Giannis.

Like I said on r/nba, he won a title here. Nothing better than that.

  9. Couldve just said “loved my time there, accomplished the ultimate goal, cant wait to see the fans again… but im lucky to have been given a great opportunity with boston too”

But nah, has to immediately say “nah onto better things than little ole milwaukee”

Well FUCK YOU dude you cost us two championships my hate is so deep with this guy

Not sure what he is supposed to say differently.

With the way the Bucks are playing now; he’s 100% right. The Celtics are the team to beat. Milwaukee is not.

  12. mtnsandmusic

We know he would rather be in Milwaukee. Hasn’t signed an extension with the Celtics yet even though the team said they wanted to take care of that right away.

  13. Didn’t he just take out a full page ad in the MJS saying how he cherished his time in Milwaukee?

I love Jrue, and I always will. But I do take a little offense to what he’s saying here. Maybe I’m reading way too much into it, but “onto better things?” From a strictly basketball perspective, isn’t the best thing an NBA Championship? He got one. In Milwaukee. Unless he’s saying he’s going to win multiple championships in Boston, what I’m inferring is winning a championship in Boston > winning a championship in Milwaukee.

Like I said, I’m probably reading too much into it, but how can he be onto something better than the best thing?

  15. i miss this guy a lot. watched game six yesterday and damn was he huge for us getting that ring.

  16. I too lie to myself to get through tough times. Always a fan of jrue jokes aside but I don’t see him getting a ring with Boston.
