IQ is all class. Good kid. Canā€™t imagine the disappointment he felt.

Wonā€™t be shocked to see him return one day.

  2. Fishmike52

So classy and a truly tough loss for knick fans. Godspeed IQ

  3. YanksJetsKnicks

    Damn stop cutting onionsā€¦

But seriously, IQ deserves everything he gets in Toronto. Glad heā€™s getting the well deserved opportunity to start.

Chop the wood. Carry the water.

    Salute to IQ šŸ«”

Once a Knick, always a Knick.

    Godspeed in Toronto ā¤ļø

“Thanks for making it matter” is a perfect way to put it.

You’ll always be our guy, IQ. It hurts to see you in another uniform, but i hope the Raps traded for an All Star.

Go kick ass against 28 other teams.

  6. Man, Ju just sounds like a good dude!

Iā€™ll always miss Quick on the Knicks, he was electric.

Hopefully one day if things work out heā€™ll be back at some point in his career. Loved having him here, wish him the best. Once a Knick, always a Knick.

Losers on twitter were complaining about not getting a goodbye IG post lmfao this is the best professional athlete goodbye I’ve ever read

    IQ fan for life

  9. wizardofweird

Would love to see him have a full career and then come back at the end sorta like Rose in 2020

  10. That entire team the rookie year kept me together through the pandy, much love to Quick, go and get it.

  11. Struggle2Real

That part about Unc Wes crying on the phone

    : (

*Beautiful* endnote coming back to him dancing on Boston.

    Wish him all the success.

This is the most hurt Iā€™ve ever felt about the trade of one of my teamā€™s players. That says a lot about the man and the player that IQ was. My favorite Knick ever. I wish him the best, heā€™s already killing it in T Dot.

  13. Busy-Professional879

Wanted to be a starter. Will get paid this off season. Win win for both the Knicks and IQ

  14. Damn! Great read – Canā€™t wait to see these dudes Jan 20

The 20th is going to be so emotional l šŸ˜

Why am I crying at this time of the day, who sent me onions to chop!!!

  17. Bro I canā€™t read this at work. I got to that bit about WWW and my heartstrings started tugging. I will read while ugly crying at lunch instead.

  18. OutsetFlair

I still donā€™t get the Thibs hate. Every player that actually believed in him, respected him.

Love Quick, this got me feeling a type of way. Itā€™s clear he viewed himself as a starter from day 1, which is why Iā€™m happy he got traded to a place where he can shine. Looking forward to the future JB vs Quickley battles as I think theyā€™ll bring the best out of each other

  20. Holiday-Ad-4654

The honesty and authenticity shine through. RJ and IQ are both super high character guys who we were lucky to have.

  21. GlassJoseph

Oh man. You never know how tight the group is as a fan…but IQ basically let us know that this was a harder decision than any of us realized. Best communication from a player to the fans I’ve ever read. I was trying to move on Quick! Now I’m going to be watching Raptors games and I don’t have time for that.

  22. Fuck Iā€™m tearing up in the bathroom at work.

Best of luck to IQ in Toronto. Glad heā€™s getting the opportunity he deserves.

    >Itā€™ll be weird coming back to the Garden as a visitor and being in the visitorsā€™ locker room. Thatā€™s gonna take some getting used to. All the weirdness and adjusting is all good, though. Thatā€™s life. Ultimately, itā€™s just another reminder that these past three years really meant something.

What a testament to his Mom and Dad for raising such a fine man.

That’s a lesson for you, kids… Don’t be afraid to show your emotions. When people say to speak your mind, it doesn’t always have to be about fighting back or sticking up for yourself…. It could be about showing love, gratitude, and positivity. A lot of men are afraid to expose that part of themselves, but the strong, confident ones are not.

  25. I will never stop rooting for this man. I just loved the joy he played with from skipping back after a big 3 or that time he got fouled for an and-one and started air swimming on the court. I’m glad he felt the love and can see the bigger picture. This trade really could be a huge win-win for both teams, but it doesn’t make me less sad about not having our Quick still in blue and orange.
