This sub is what you get when you only watch highlights and parlays.

  2. LooneyTunes-

This kind of thinking is so so so stupid. Why would you be content with just losing when you still have Stephen Curry… The MAIN REASON we have those 4 rings. You have a chance to hang more banners but you want to put on nostalgia glasses and watch “The Core” fade into obscurity. Pathetic mindset.

    #Preach.

I’m somewhere around 3000 Dubs games watched. Starting to get the feeling I’m like the Bill Rusell era Celtics fans at the end of the Bird era. The Showtime era Lakers fans at the end of the Kobe era. Prob older than about 95% of this sub.

Yeah it sucks to suck… but I’m tuning in every game hell or high water. I want the team to play better but aside from the typical fan complaint nothing changes for me but the day. We are entering

For REAL Dubs fans there is a point where it gets rough and you just stfu and say “I’m here to watch the next game. I’m here to root on the Bay.” or you’re gonna go away cuz its not good for your jellies lol.

The era conditioned new fans to have wacky AF expectations on the basis of Steph and years gone by. Folks need to start blank slating each year. Maybe Dray comes back and we get something going. Maybe not. But the old heads will be there unbothered either way. Go Dubs.

Respectfully disagree. I was at the Oracle in the 2000s a ton. It’s different expectations. We’re not a ragtag group of outcasts and late lottery picks. We will be post-Curry. We’re supposed to be championship contenders. It’s not unreasonable for someone to not support what’s happening in a closing window.

Bro I had the displeasure of growing up watching folks like Victor Alexander jud Buechler and Rony Seikaly. I’ve seen more losing than winning. Taking Ls and playing terrible basketball is nothing new for me lol.

Add on: random thought that I had forgotten about. I once met Chris Gatling at a Cal State Hayward (back before the name change) graduation ceremony when I was kid. Got his autograph on a receipt my mom had in her purse lol.

  6. OH yes. I remember the days of Felton Spencer, Jason Caffey, Donyell Marshall, Donald Royal, Tim Young, Andrew DeClerq, Bimbo Coles, Tony Delk, Chris Gatling, Clifford Rozier, BJ Armstrong, Joe Smith

  7. PlayfulAd8354

Someone get this man hooked up with Rodgers in a dark cave with some hallucinogenic shit

  8. Imagine caring how long you’ve been a fan for.

That’s just cringey and pathetic behavior to excuse the teams current performance. You’ve got Stephen Curry and a $210M payroll around him, the team should not be the 12th seed.

  9. Floppy_Jet1123

Old heads like me (not that old) is contented with what our big 3+1 (Loon) has accomplished. 2022 was an icing on the cake.

The could have happened waaaay earlier, but we were blessed in 2022.

  10. Wow that loss to the Pels has got this sub feeling some kind of way.

  11. brazillion

Vonteego Cummings never forget. He was supposed to be our future.

  12. Nightmannn

Agree 100%. This sub is full of brats in complete meltdown mode. Same fans happily waltz over to r/nba and willingly bend over for karma. Pathetic shit!

  13. commonground3

I can’t imagine Klay being traded but if he was, I hope it would be to the Kings to keep him in NorCal

  14. CapitalPin2658

Been watching the dubs since CWebb was traded there. We believe

  15. _imposter_syndrome

Same bro. This sub is hilariously toxic and makes me realize most of the people active here likely became fans sometime in the Kerr era and only watch game highlights.

  16. brashmashidiota

Shit I rmemeber Clayton and Mookie blaylock and Larry Hughes and shit.
That first title and the Oakland/Lake parade was all I EVER needed.
Was at the graduate on Claremont and college the night they won it all

  17. ArtfulLying

Loser mentality. This is a different team with different expectations. Especially for those ticket prices.

  18. DragonTigerSword

Don Nelson eras? Which one you referring to because at least he had some fun teams, Run TMC and the We Believe Warriors. Dave Twardzik and Rick Adleman, that was some shit right there. Go look at the list of coaches from 1995 to 2006 for this team, I’d argue that the Warriors were one of the worst franchises in all of sports in that 10 year span. Mediocre enough to not make the playoffs AND not get a high draft pick AND poor draft selection.

  19. If you want your team to actually try hard every night your spoiled. Just another lame take from a gate keeping fan.

  20. sloppymcgee

Above all things people need to chill out about Steve Kerr. The disrespect for someone who has been a part of that many championships is absurd. Not easily replaceable, show the man some grace.

  21. sclongjohnson

Say it louder for the people in the back 🗣️🗣️🗣️

  22. beef_cannon

We was watching Charles Jenkins and Jeremy Tyler!

  23. My-At-Work-Account

Ohmmmmmmm- ignore negative energy, cash paycheck, spend time with loved ones (Rocco).

Sucks that we suck but who thought we still have a 90% curry in 2024?

  24. 1-415-XXX-XXXX

Keep in mind that this will be the first time for everyone (including us old school fans) where we’re witnessing the *last years* of the Best Team & Best Shooter.

You and I are the same because we were here back when Steinmetz and Fitz were rookies in GSW broadcasting. This was before the We Believe Era. You and I have probably been addicted to this team during an era where there was no hope.

Us old heads might be numb to the pain because of what we went through, **BUT** I still think there’s another level to this because this my first time actually witnessing our dynasty in it’s last years.

It feels different because the core players and this franchise gave us better experiences that we’ll never forget.

I’m an old head that’s been a diehard fan for more than a handful of decades, but I don’t want to come off as being any better than any of the fans that arrived during Steph’s reign.

Alls I know is that I don’t get frustrated as much as I used to.

If Klay and Steph and Dray aren’t performing like they used to, I typically just laugh, grab a beer and pig out on some really good food. When the game is over, I hit a blunt and move on.

Someone else says it a lot of on here and I tend to agree with them: “It’s sports entertainment akin to professional wrestling and the kardashians” and I tend to agree with them. It’s literally just a show to me these days. and this is looking like the last season of Game of Thrones, if I’m being honest lol.

  25. AteupMcdaniel

Kuminga may try to go down the same road Sprewell did

  26. DaSmoothOperator88

Lots on bandwagon, spoiled, don’t know basketball warrior fans. I just want them to make it to the playoffs and I’ll be happy with whatever happens. I know they can be a playoff team once Dray and GP2 come back. We have no defense right now.
