[Fischer] “I keep hearing Andrew Wiggins’ name [attached to Indiana]. I know that Jonathan Kuminga was another Warriors player that the Pacers have been keeping tabs on and calling Golden State about dating back to last draft.”

No, god. No.

Wiggins has been dealing with off the court issues that seem to have mentally impacted his game. He’s having an atrocious year but he had a solid 3 year run in GS and was great during their last championship run. Only link I could see is that Nembhard and Mathurin are Canadian and likely friends with Andrew. Maybe he needs a change of scenery but seems risky with his contract.

That Wiggins contract just kicked in and it will be done in 2027. It won’t be cheap for the Warriors to move off. I’m talking Kuminga and something else of value for Buddy or Bruce. The concern I have is we already have a lot of young guys that will be wanting to get paid coming up in Mathurin, I Jax, Obi and Nembhard. Throw Kuminga into that and sometimes too many young guys looking towards their next contract isn’t ideal. Oladipo spoke to the issue in Orlando. Not to mention Wiggins would be eating up a ton of that cap space. I just don’t see this FO thinking this is the move to make Tyrese happy.

Pretty sure Pacers prefer 4 years of Wiggins and Kuminga over 4 month rental of Siakam

Kuminga is a good player, but lets not get Wiggins and say we did.

Why the fuck would we want Wiggins when we have Mathurin who is cheaper, younger, and has better numbers this year?
