Odd that it hasn’t been properly linked up until this point. We were never mentioned in the group of teams seriously in discussion previously it was mostly fan/media predictions

Yeah I just don’t see how this meaningfully helps us.
* He’s 6’8, so he’s an inch shorter than Looney but an inch taller than Wiggs. Not a true big, so he won’t meaningfully help our defense, especially if we trade Wiggs.
* He’s a non-shooter (30% from 3 this year), so he won’t stretch the floor. Severely limits potential roster combinations, especially if we give up Wiggins who, when he’s right, is a solid 3-point shooter.
The things I like from him are his assist numbers and his scoring. He’s a solid defender, but I don’t see him playing lockdown POA defense the way Wiggins can. Who takes on that role when he’s gone?
If there are multiple moves being made, then maybe I could see it. But if there aren’t, we’re trading assets away for a rental? Because we aren’t signing him to a max like he wants.
I mean, lets assume we give up Wiggins, Moody + picks or whatever for him. Is this team really gonna get BETTER with another nonshooter? We have so many holes and still no size down low. I dont see how Siakam isnt just putting a bandaid on a gunshot wound.
So sick of this. He is rubbish in the playoffs. Only won the chip coz FVV had a baby and transformed into a scorer and Curry stopper, and Kawhi was out of this world. Siakam will never be 2022 playoff Wiggins… although I accept that Wiggs may never be as good again either. He is distinctly meh. No trades until the summer thanks.

I think there’s no way this happens. Warriors haven’t made an obvious trade since I can remember.
