Yesterday…..Our Spurs played against the Pistons.
We don't need to try this against teams with players like Embiid, Jokic or other centers that are Punishing.
It was a wonderful game but Wemby should play at the post and let us see what happens.
Him being the primary distributor will just add more pressure to him.

Watching a particular break away between Wemby and Sochan last night has me ready to do what I said I wouldn't do anymore. Lol
Wemby is the best scorer, rebounder, shot blocking, 2nd in steals, and would probably lead the team in assists if that was his role.
I was extremely impressed with Wembys passing last night. I'm ok with the Wemby at point experience. Can't be worse than Sochan.. lol
Timmy was a great passer as well…especially when he was double-teamed. Wemby is good….and will only get better…but I don't feel that having him facilitate the offense alot will be in his best interest. He will tire out quicker. Just let him go with the flow. That's my opinion.

Wemby is not a PG but he's a control tower !
Wemby already knows he can pass the ball. Some of those passes he threw cannot be done by someone who is just learning to pass. But to be a great passer he also needs the receivers to position themselves and be ready. It’s a team coordination effort. I hope his teammates are willing to position themselves to receive a pass from Wemby, unlike their unwillingness to pass to Wemby.
I remember watching a few games of him in France just a year ago and being concerned about his passing, even if he’s not a 10 assist per game guy, he’s improved so much in that aspect this past year, can’t wait to watch him in his prime

They're finally gonna play him the way he should've been THIS WHOLE TIME! I'll admit that I didn't know that he passed the ball well, he didnt show many flashes this whole season . He argued to be a PF or SF so he could shoot and it didn't work because no one was getting rebounds . Then he wanted to be a ball handler and the rest of league was taking that ball any chance they got . NOW he can finally blossom to the Joker/Giannis/KD hybrid we all know he can be . I know he Hates being the 5 but the others thrive when he is . This game proved it , also YES he's the guy you give the ball to every time and let him make decisions . Pop said it himself , " we ran the offense through him and it worked " . It seemed like a no brained to me but maybe we had egos in the locker room . I hope that they continue this route and Wemby can live with being a 5 I know people are hyped on Alex Skarr but…. we can get any 7ft center that'll rebound and that's all we need ….. oh and a youthful one would be nice .

He was picking apart the Detroit defense with his passes.
Agree in the full that the offense should be run through Wemby, which can be done with him at Center. His bball IQ is already exceptional and we've seen how his teammates benefit when he's the focus. Let's remember too that Jokic is a fantastic passer and still plays at Center.

Last night's game isn't an outlier. Wemby's bbiq, court vision were already great before. It's just that his passing wasn't as good as now and the team chemistry was bad too. Speaking of passing, it's unbelievable to say this but Wemby is arguably the best passer on this roster (maybe along with Tre). I thought we got a KD+Giannis but we are getting a Jokic+Giannis. I can't wait to see him dominating the league.
