I do think we are better than the Nuggets if we trade for and retain Siakam

I just don’t like the fit. Also don’t like what it is going to cost to keep him next offseason. Not money-wise, but because adding a third max player would limit our roster flexibility.

Siakam is a great player, but the uncertainty about our ability to re-sign him at all + if we can, having to give him a full 4 or 5 year max means getting him is a huge risk.
If we could get him for cheap it would be one thing, but having to give up 2 or 3 of Green/Omax/Hardy + picks + THJ is too much. I would rather just wait until the offseason, and make a trade when we have 3 firsts available. We don’t need to rush that much, Luka is still young.

Yeah Fischer we already know that, & Shams said we won’t really go for him unless Masai reduces the price (which seems more likely day after day)
Also i don’t understand why some people here don’t like us going after Siakam, i’m sure whoever trade for him he would absolutely resign with them. This is the Kyrie trade all over again
We don’t have much assets & there aren’t many players that move the needle for us on the market, Siakam is available & you guys don’t want to trade for him bcz he’s gonna cost a lot of money? Well no shit, he’s an all-star caliber player ofc he’ll cost a lot
A lot of comments here say: i don’t like the fit, i’d rather trade for an elite 3&D wing… but who is available? & we don’t have the luxury of choosing which player we should get with our bad assets
Seriously? Who you rather be our 3rd option? Siakam or Tim Chuckaway Jr?

If we trade the FRP we have available how many would we have in the offseason when the Knicks get their pick?

this team needs rebounding and paint protection. scoring isnt a problem. We need a player like Knicks Hartenstein. He is a monster on glass but not particularly offensively minded. But thats what keeps the price down. Pay for what you need and dont overpay for things you dont need!

If he commits to resigning like kp did with Boston, would u give up lively?
PM_ME_UR_RESPECT
I really don’t think we need him.
Say it with me folks. **Defense and rebounding.**

A lot of people say this is a bad fit, but if they can get him for cheap he would add so much to this team.
First of all his size – a 6’8 pf, who’s a positive defender and rebounder is a dream come true for this team, sure he might not be the best chasing around guards but just his physicality around the rim would add so much.
He prefers playing inside the perimeter, which would add a lot to this team. I’ve seen way too many games where this team looks completely lost when they stop hitting threes, having someone who can get to the rim at that size would help a lot.

That is the best starting lineup on the universe

Mavs aren’t getting siakam unless Lively is offered. Mavs would never therefore Siakam won’t end up in Dallas.

This is a nothing burger. He also said there are some that are concerned we would be worse off due to loss of depth. I hate these bait titles

The amount of people that want to keep a rookie over being a step closer to winning a championship is wild to me

If Nico can turn THJ, Green/Hardy, Holmes & 2RP into 3 months of Siakim, yes, do it. If Masai demands Green + Hardy + 1RP, I hope he tells him to kick rocks
botebote77
if Lively is included i would lose a piece of my heart
