[Windhorst] (re: Zach LaVine) “He is not on the Lakers’ board. Austin Reaves is more desired than LaVine around the league.” — (re: Darvin Ham) “I’ve had conversations… Ham’s backing with Ownership is rock solid.”

Re: Murray

Windy also mentioned that Dejounte Murray is definitely on the Lakers’ board but Hawks want a significant return to move off Murray since they traded three 1st round picks for him. Lakers most coveted assets are Reaves and their 2029 1st round pick and they don’t want to trade both.

Re: more on Ham

Mentioned a few reasons why Lakers ownership is in support of Darvin Ham: Number one, they hired him. Second, he was a steadying voice through last season. Third, Lakers also liked how he performed in the 1ST. Says Ham’s footing is very safe, although he can’t predict what will happen in 6 months but there’s a lot more going on to this situation.

Reaves is a high efficiency player, and a lot of his defensive weaknesses are coming from coach’s schemes.  Yeah, he’s not been playing as well the past week or so, but dumb to trade a high efficiency player that is good in the clutch unless you’re getting something that obviously upgrades the team.

Same thing with Rui, he’s a high efficiency player and it is on the lakers to make sure they are getting him his shots.

So they want to upgrade the backcourt. But have zero interest in Lavine and aren’t willing to aggressively pursue Dejounte… who is the target then? Terry Rozier? Collin Sexton? Lol

  3. TheWhisperingDeath

    Ugh. I hope it’s posturing.

Because this is the time get LaVine when his stock is at its lowest.

  4. I still can’t fathom that Ham is so backed by ownership being a rookie coach and having won virtually nothing. Imagine if fucking Vogel got that respect after winning an actual championship. We deserve to suffer having this level of incompetence in FO.

  5. So it looks like Ham is going to stay for at least this year. I’m hoping the Lakers do smaller but good trades like Grant and Brogdon.

Thank god we are smart enough to realize Reaves on his contract is actually valuable unlike Lavine. Giving me some hope for this front office.

I still wouldn’t mind us going after Lavine if it means we keep Reaves.

  7. lakerconvert

They trust Ham because of how they did in the IST 🤣 What an absolute fucking joke

  8. Consistent_Owl4593

Anyone watch the bulls game tonight? Only seen the last 6 minutes and he played very well. Again, this guy solves the offensive droughts we have during games I just don’t see us dealing with “Lakers currently scoreless for the past 4:00” when he’s out on the perimeter. Just hoping we don’t have to give up a lot to get him

  9. Full_Lobster_6008

This is a major major problem. Organization backs Ham….. They are as stupid as we think

  10. mrblack1998

Bulls have to give something for LaVine guys. He’s a negative asset compared to his contract.

  11. LebronsPinkyToe

at least get some better assistants if they dont fire Ham (they should) in the offseason: David Adelman, Jordi Fernandez, Stotts

  12. Wise_Ad_112

I’ll take Lavine he’s still 28 if it means keeping ar. I’ll buy low, he’s athletic, attacks the rim and shoots. Lebron not gonna be here long anyways, lavine will take his salary spot.

  13. Klaxosaur

Mfers so attached with players and get butt hurt when they become better role players elsewhere. Thats the mfin risks you need to take lmao.

    Raptors with Kawhi

    Suns with Beal

    Mavs with Kyrie

Look at Harden ballin out with the Clippers.

Yes the Brodie project sucked but fuck, you gotta go for it all with an aging Bron.
    Etc.

However, I’m more talking about Dejounte Murray and not bum ass Lavine.

  14. Ham is the limiting factor keeping this team from being a top 6 seed and avoiding the play in. Once you are in, anything can happen when you have bron and AD and some luck.

  15. wrexy_619

Windhorst and Woj have no clue what they are reporting, since when does our front office leak anything about our moves. This is bullshit and I’m really disappointed in Windy for trying to report false info, he is basically doing a Romana Shelbourne here.

  16. Yommination

Punting the season. Why would any superstar want to come to this team after how badly they have put a team around Bron and AD? Unserious mom and pop nepotism shop franchise

  17. DrSlaughtr

I’ve been saying LaVine is trash for weeks. We need someone who can shoot over 40% from three and can be depended on. Murray is close at just under. But it’s not worth trading Reaves. He’s the second best ballhandler/playmaker on the team.

  18. CabbageStockExchange

“Hams backing with ownership is rock solid”

    Unserious franchise

  19. kaygeeboo

I’m prolly in the minority here when I say we should stand pat. If a trade happens it’s marginal at best

  20. BearShark8

Well there you have it. Ham isn’t going anywhere. Enough with the passive aggressive remarks and eye rolls and what not. Make it work.

  21. CooperHouseDeals

Has Jeanie heard from the season ticket holders how disappointed this Laker team is, and they might not renew their $1000 dollar tickets, or pay some outrageous price for play in tickets. How about the TV advertisers telling Laker management they are not getting the viewship they were promised, now Jeanie has a problem. It’s always about money, and she thinks she can brush this off because we are the world famous Lakers.

  22. IceColdTrey7

Someone show this to Bulls fan & burst their delusional bubble

  23. jaypr4576

No thanks. The Lakers need another quality big man. Lavine is not it.

  24. Cloudzzz777

Yeah I figured they won’t fire Ham until after the playoffs. Basically if a healthy roster fails again guessing he’s gone
