Isaiah Hartenstein Is Doing the UNTHINKABLE for the New York Knicks!

Isaiah Hartenstein Is Doing the UNTHINKABLE for the New York Knicks!

So I gotta deal with some dude named hardenstein but hardenstein to go up against Giannis ano come on y’all hard Ste hard Ste hard Ste come on y’all that of course was Steven absum Smith on national TV absolutely oblivious to the type of player the Knicks have on their

Team let’s rewind real quick when it was announced in late December that New York Knicks starting Cent Mitchell Robinson would be sidelined for at least 8 to 10 weeks after undergoing ankle surgery that prompted concerns that he could be done for the rest of the season so no

One could blame you for wondering whether the New York Knicks would be in a bit of trouble after all Robinson is a premier rim protector and one of the best offensive rebounders in NBA history he was essential to the Knicks on both ends of the floor but now everyone knows

The new starting Center’s name Isaiah hartenstein welcome everybody my name is Troy and this is the half court report be sure you click that Thumbs Up Button And subscribe for some of the best NBA content that you’re going to find on YouTube without needing any extra help

From Stephen A to help catapult his stock Haren Stein’s play alone over the past two weeks has solidified him as a starting center in the NBA over the past 10 games hartenstein has averaged 7.9 points 11.2 rebounds 3.2 assists two Steals and one and half blocks per game

In the Knicks three most recent games those numbers have increased exponentially in rebounds and steals 16 rebounds and 2.6 steals to go with seven points and three assists it’s getting harder and harder to find a Knicks fan that doesn’t want hartenstein to remain the starting center when Mitchell

Robinson returns later this season and with Isaiah hartenstein a free agent this summer the Knicks have some big decisions to make with their roster and salary cap guys who saw this coming hartenstein has not only stepped up in Mitchell Robinson’s absence dare I say the guy is playing light years better

Than him so how are the Knicks able to pull this off well for one hartenstein like the man that he has replaced is an elite defensive anchor for this team he’s got all the skills to play Tom tibo’s preferred drop coverage he’s Adept at the cat Mouse game required to

Stifle opposing screen and dive attacks turn the next game on and you’ll see him sitting in a defensive stance feet bouncing arms stretched out wide he’s got good instincts too it’s no accident that he is fifth among all centers and steals per 100 possessions at 2.2 a game

And seventh in total deflections where hartenstein excels the most though is contesting shots at the basket opponents have converted just 54.1% of their Rim attempts with hartenstein in the vicinity that’s the 12th best rate in the league among all players who have defended at least six such attempts it’s why the Knicks

Defense has improved by almost four points per 100 possessions with hartenstein on the court what separates him from so many other mid-tier centers though is his two-way ability hartenstein is an offensive threat and not just by setting strong screens or finishing around the hoop hartenstein is also capable of shredding defenses with

Slick passes from the elbows and he’s capable of punishing centers who try zoning up he did this multiple times in a recent game against the Sixers by using the open space offered to him by a sagging Joel embiid as a Runway to the rim hartenstein is currently on the

Second year of a 2-year $16 million contract that he signed with the Knicks last summer ask anybody that’s one of the most valuable deals in the NBA so hardenstein is in line for a huge payday this upcoming offseason he’s even gone on record in interviews if I keep

Playing this way I’m going to get paid truer words were never spoken because he is going to force the Knicks into a tough decision as they aren’t going to be able to carry both him and Mitchell Robinson on their books Haren Stein’s recent performances have attracted considerable attention from across the

League game after game he continues to affirm his status as a legit bonafide starting center in the NBA and if it’s not with the Knicks there are going to be numerous potential suitors vying for his services and these are going to be teams that may have cap space to offer

Him a significant pay raise and to be able to offer hartenstein a contract that would far surpass what the Knicks ever anticipated having to pay to retain him keep in mind hartenstein is an unrestricted free agent and he is entering the prime of his career at 25

Years old while the Knicks do hold his burd rights which would allow them to resign him for up to 175% of his previous salary or 105% of the League’s annual average salary this decision carries financial implications for the Knicks if they opt to exercises bird rights the potential contract for

Hartenstein in the upcoming season could be about 16 million per year that’s more than Mitchell Robinson makes and that is a hefty number for a Knicks team that will also be looking to extend OG an anobi to a Max or close to a max deal

  1. For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, ‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’ There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. –Acts 4:11-12

  2. Great commentary on IHart. He has been stellar for our Knicks. When Mitch returns I think he comes off the bench to not mess up continuity of the team. There’s a reason why when Mitch was playing and IHart was coming off the bench with the 2nd unit that that unit was getting better results on team ball than the starters and it was because of IHarts play along with IQ and Josh. IHart is a great passer and decision maker on taking those midrange shots, hook shots and back against the basket plays.its no longer a a 5 on 4 game as it was when Mitch was starting

  3. I've always liked Isaiah game, hopefully they can sign him. If he can keep the defense up Robinson and Randle are expendable. Robinson Athletic with defense thats elite but definitely is injury prone.
Id be reaching out to the Thunder/Spurs.
    Knicks – Mann, Johnson, McDermott
    SA-Giddey, Sims
    OKC- Robinson, Cedi

Chet seems capable enough to play PF.
