  1. When will Franz be back? Him being out hurts us so much because teams are able to purely focus on defending Paolo. Nobody else on our team is a consistent enough scoring threat for other teams to scheme against.

  2. bllr32423

Paolo was super impressive that second half. He was getting mauled out there and made some good adjustments to it. Crossing my fingers there’s a chance we see Franz on Monday

  3. I watch a lot of NBA games and not many people get guarded the way Paolo Banchero has been recently. The guy is the entire offense most of the time, which is good experience for the future, but he is still young and the load is just too much. Franz coming back will help a ton, AB playing with more confidence can take off some of the on ball load as well if he is used that way.

The starting lineup we are running due to injuries means Paolo will be doubled or tripled every time he touches the ball, if he passes out the defense just closes out and no one besides Suggs (if he isn’t sick) can put the ball on the floor so unless they are open to shoot its just pass back to Paolo and make something happen again. Gets rough to watch when others aren’t making shots to take some pressure off of Paolo.

I’m so confused as to how SGA gets so many calls? He carry’s the ball and flails. Carry and flail. Rinse and repeat. Meanwhile, Paolo, a dude built like a God damn ox and takes it to the rim strong can barely get a whistle? NBA referees are a joke.

  5. Rough games at stretches. Not from the box score, this was better than realistically to be expected.

Cole need to stay with the bench and shouldn’t close games. I feel mirr comfortable with AB right now – he rarely makes dumb plays.

But anyway: lots of credits to put up such a fight. Lots of energy. Even when not consistent Caleb is playing himself in the healthy lineup and queen gave us some good minutes as well

Hope they try out a Suggs -Caleb – Franz – Paolo’ – WCJ.

Paolo had 20 more than Jdub and chet both good players btw but at least we can sleep good knowing casuals can’t push agendas

  7. SamURLJackson

I value entertainment over wins for my team normally, and this was maybe the least entertaining game I’ve seen this year.

    Get well soon

  8. Street-Common-4023

Paolo has been inefficient a bit since franz been injured ain’t a bad thing. But I’m glad to see him continue being aggressive despite this

  9. raphael87

JI played great defense as usual. When he actually plays, he reminds us how valuable he is. We shot pretty poorly tonight and had a thin margin for error against a great team. Honestly was proud of our guys and can’t complain too much.

  10. SpideyUdaman

Tough. Really need Franz. Need Suggs. Need everyone. But we also need them to already be in gamespeed mentality. We could win this particular game with enough guys, but only if they’re all mentally ready for it.

Offensive direction was sometimes lost in this game. Not consistently in rhythm. Defensive stops/opp turnovers aren’t being converted for points.

PB’s killer mode is always awesome to see; I still can’t believe I’m seeing a future hall of famer in this team right on my screen. He needs to approach fts maybe differently? Shaq and Dwight were awful, but Banchero is a little better. Him making almost all fts would be a boon to this team. Be the change and all that lol.

Cole’s foul…let’s just say that was naughty and should never be done again. I want him to get streaky and hit his opps in the head with nasty threes instead, angry or not.

Im tired of 6-7 guys being out every night. WCJ and Markelle might be valuable when healthy but we can’t expect to be a playoff team if two of our starters miss 30-40 games a year.

  12. GrouchyUniversityy

Paolo averaging 39 mpg in the month of January…have to feel for him. At some point this FO has to make some moves. His efficiency has taken a hit these last few games due to a heavier offensive load with Franz out.

    Man, this really sucks…

  13. We be aight….

Got a couple G leaguers playing 20+ mins.

    Judah still on ice.

Our second best player and offensive weapon on the sidelines.

Suggs not gelling with Okeke, Houstan, Queen etc.

Paolo gettin no help, no screens, no outlet pass options (too many guys hiding behind the D) he tryin to work the arc but he ain’t gettin nothin from his teammates, they ain’t even cuttin for him man….

The chemistry ain’t there atm. Lot of stopping and propping on offense. Line ups ain’t it atm.

We need a run of health again and roll with:

    Goga
    P5
    Franz
    Suggs
    AB

    First rotation:
    Moe/WCJ
    JI
    Jingles
    Gary/Houstan
    Cole
