This man is incapable of keeping this team focussed for any length of time. It’s clearly that he just doesn’t have the personality it takes to be a good head coach. Hopefully the new ownership realizes this and makes the necessary change.

If you can’t string together wins against teams that are undermanned and coming off a back to back with your own team having days off, as a coach, you literally aren’t doing shit at all. Fire Kidd.
I hate it when the doomers overreact to a loss, but I think it’s very reasonable to point out that 1. this loss is absolutely on the coach 2. this team will never achieve anything meaningful if there isn’t a significant change in the coaching decisions. It’s absolute malpractice to play DP for 34 minutes when Kidd recognizes that they’re getting pushed around. I’m very aware that they lack great options on the roster when it comes to size down low, but it’s also obvious that CWood & McGee were better than Powell and Richaun Holmes is absolutely better. Markieff Morris has to be at least as useless as Powell. At the very least, make a change to see if it will spark something.

Unbelievable! We really can’t compete against bigs if you keep with your small ball lineup. You can’t tell your team to play harder on defense? Stop shooting a lot of 3s. Our offense is just mostly jack up 3s. We are 2nd in the league in 3pt attempts.
He played Powell and Kleber 46 minutes and played Holmes 0, but physicality wasn’t there.

The reason we have so many exhausted and injured guys is because our playschemes are madness.
Even with everyone healthy’s basically a guarantee that with a plan of wild kickout passes if not drawing contact and switching from slow Luka pace to Kyrie and the rookies doing sprints there’s bound to be a ton of turnovers and injuries, which is why aggressive defensive teams or smart teams can beat us pretty easily.
We basically need everything to go right for us and everything go wrong for our opponents every single game because Kidd can’t coach or make any substantial rotations/lineups/challenges/ATO plays.
These fantastic years of Luka are going to be marred by the inability for Kidd to structure even the most basic game plan and will physically wear down all our best players and cause us to lose games we’d win handily healthy.
