The Dallas Mavericks are about to build a SUPERTEAM

The Dallas Mavericks are looking to build a super team this trade deadline as there are reports they are looking at Pascal cakam as the missing piece to their Championship puzzle next to Luca donic and next to Kyrie Irving and it’s impossible to argue that would be a Bonafide Championship Contender I mean

The western conference is loaded but I would put that team that Trio up against any team in the west and any team in the East like they could very well win the title with that trade and by all accounts and reports it looks like Pascal cakam will get traded at the

Deadline according to Chris Haynes the Raptors and cakam are on the verge of parting ways we’ve heard reports that both sides haven’t been talking contract it just seems like both sides want to move on Pascal to a contender the Raptors to a rebuild so yeah let’s talk

About it my name is fuad soulman from Courtside Digest and yeah what do we think Pascal cakam to the Dallas Mavericks I mean it would be a massive move it would shift the balance of power in the Western Conference and it would make Dallas one of the teams to beat so

I put on my trade machine hat and I went out and I made a trade let’s talk about it this is my fantasy trade Grant Williams ran Holmes Derek Lively II omx prosper and jayen Jaden Hardy to the Raptors in exchange for Pascal cakam and Christian Koko Koko is a contract in

This case because of his respiratory issues he’s not going to see the court so yeah that’s the deal now I know exactly what I’m going to see in the comments right now by Dallas fans we cannot give up Derek Lively Derek Lively is Untouchable how dare you put Derek

Lively in a trade for Pascal cakam let me explain first of all the Dallas Mavericks have have a window to win the championship right this very second okay you have one of the best players on planet Earth one of the best offensive players of all time playing at the peak

Of his powers in Luca donic you have an amazing sidekick this season in Kyrie Irving you add Pascal cakam you’re making a legitimate big three and I know big threes are out of style because the Phoenix Suns have looked pretty terrible this season but they’ve looked terrible because they’re a big three

That don’t really complement each other they are they all kind of play the same type of basketball all three of these guys give you something different offensively now tell me this can you see Derek Lively swinging a series in the playoffs for the Dallas Mavericks can

You see him helping you win a series two series three series the NBA Championship can you see you looking up and saying wow Derek Lively we would not have won this this Championship without Derek Lively I don’t think you would ever say that because he is 19 years old there

Have never no matter how good a prospect is it is impossibly hard for someone that young to swing a series any which way it’s much more likely that Derek Lively will get into foul trouble every single game he plays in the playoffs like playing against nikolic he’s going

To pick up two fouls in a minute and you’re going to have to go to Dwight pow off the bench anyway so why not go ahead and get yourself a star to augment that and try to win it all right so let’s dive into the Dallas Mavericks here offensively they’re looking great

They’re one of the best teams in the NBA on offense right they are scoring at an incredible clip they are one of the best three-point shooting teams in the NBA but we look defensively now the rule of thumb generally is you want a team to

Have a top 10 offense and a top 10 defense to really be a championship Contender they’re 19th in defense right now and Pascal cakam brings defense like he his game is more offensively oriented we see the points we see the assists you know we see the isolation the post-ups

You know the the fast break like that’s what we see about a pascal cakam cakam started his career and made his bones on the defensive end and he can still be a great perimeter Defender and that’s an element the Mavericks don’t really have right now like cakam could play the

Three and guard threes he can guard he can switch on a guards as well he add such a versatility that I think you could take that 19th offense and bring it towards and bring it up towards at least maybe 15th 14th like I think he could help them stop the bleeding on

Some points this season and also think about it this way with Derek Lively Derrik livley was found money okay nobody expected the Dallas Mavericks to even get their draft pick at the 2023 draft right the the pick that they traded to get Chris TOS porzingis from the New York Knicks

Everyone thought that was going to New York Knicks but because the Mavericks absolutely cratered last season they had one of the worst defenses of all time and they pretty much shamelessly tanked their way out of it let’s call a spade a spade you know you didn’t think you were

Going to let end up with a big Prospect like Derek Lively let me tell you a story when I worked at McDonald’s back as a teenager you know they paid us in checks and for me a teenager with ADHD I lost the check and I didn’t even know I

Lost the check until I cleaned up and I found the check under a pile of crap you know what I did with that check I didn’t go and put it in a high yield savings account I didn’t put it under the bed for a rainy day no no no I went out and

I had fun I went out into a restaurant I bought some food I bought a video game or two the point is when you have found money when you have a gift like that and a chance to win a title you don’t hesitate to do that and yeah you would

Get Pascal probably at a at an extension right like I think Pascal is probably dictating some of the terms of where he goes and I think that’s probably one of the most attractive destinations that he would end up in so I don’t think you’d have a problem extending him and you

Would have a championship window for a number of years and also the Mavericks would still be left with a lot of depth if they made that deal because they’d still have Tim Hardaway Jr I left them out on purpose I wanted him to keep that 17 points per game that three-point

Shooting you still would have Dwight Powell at the five you can go out and sign bismack biombo just to add a big body to rebound you’d have Seth Curry Off the Bench you would have Derrik Jones junor you have a lot of players even Dante exom is a contributor Josh

Green baxi kba like there is so many guys that could still help you win so I don’t think that depth would even be an issue I think they would still be left with a pretty above average deep team for them to play with so let’s talk about how Pascal would fit with Luca

Donz because this is what it’s all about Luca is the end all Beall of this DX Mavericks franchise and he’s playing historically at an offensive clip that I have never seen before and he is somehow gotten better I didn’t even think it was possible for Luca donish to somehow be

Better but he’s become better like the numbers are Insanity right 33 points a game eight boards nine assists and what jumps out at me is the three-point shooting he is averaging four makes on 10 attempts that is such a jump from the last few years that he’s been in the

League he’s a legitimate three Point threat there is no way to guard this guy now that’s why he would fit so perfectly with Pascal cakam cakam played with another big time Superstar isolation score in kawhai Leonard and that resulted in a championship cakam looked amazing in that playoffs because he

Didn’t have the pr pressure of having the ball all the time having to initiate the offense with Luca and the threat of his outside shooting his playmaking his driving his everything thing cakam has to be an amazing cutter he’s got to be a guy that can pick and pop a guy that can

Roll to the rim he can even be a catch and shoot three-point shooter he’s been bad to start the season but lately has come on and he’s always been good at that open Corner three he’s going to get a lot of open Corner threes playing next

To donic and you got to keep LCA donic happy LCA donic is one of the best players in the world he knows it he might be the MVP this season and he is a ridiculously competitive guy and you know the clock is always ticking on these Superstars if you don’t add the

Requisite talent and don’t get them over the hump the Los Angeles Lakers are going to start looking very attractive maybe the Miami Heat the New York Knicks the the Clippers whoever is going to have the cap space at the time everybody’s going to try to add Luca

Donic he’ll be the biggest free agent since LeBron in 201 10 so you’ve got to keep this guy happy and ready to sign long-term any chance he gets and I think that’s why adding cakam and adding a championship ring or getting to the NBA finals that would keep Luca happy and if

You can keep knocking on that door in the window that you have I think Luca would stick around long term in Dallas that’s got to be their number one priority and finally you can’t waste this season of Kyrie Irving Kyrie Irving is playing incredibly well you know he’s averaging 23 points per

Game five assists and most importantly we all know Kyrie’s game has never been in question right he’s always been an incredible player but it’s always been the offcourt stuff what’s Kyrie gonna do or say that’s gonna blow this whole thing up that’s GNA have to that we’re going to

Have a distraction in the locker room that we’re going to have to issue a statement we’re going to have to trade him is he going to request trade we have not heard a peep out of Kyrie Irving this season he’s flown so under the radar and that’s exactly where the Dall

Dallas Mavericks wanted him to be when they signed him up long term and on the court he fits incredibly well with cakam and donic because Kyrie Irving has played off ball in the past he played off ball with the Cleveland Cavaliers with LeBron James and I know the

Brooklyn Net’s thing lasted like 12 minutes but when he played off ball next to harden next to Durant he was incredible like this is a guy that is very happy to catch and shoot he’s an incredibly efficient scorer I don’t see him I see him being an incredible fit as

The third or 2B option in this offense and yeah you cannot let that pass you by because you just never know when another KY thing is going to happen and he’s also injury-prone right Kyrie is going to turn 32 this season he’s had a lot of a

Lot of wear and tear on that lower body on those ankles those knees and it you can’t let that pass you by he’s totally healthy right now and playing at an extremely high level the Dallas Mavericks have to make that deal they got to do it now or they’re going to

Regret it so what do you guys think should the Mavericks go all out to get Pascal yakum will he be the third man in a championship winning team for the Dallas Mavericks can they get him without trading for Derrick Lively I don’t think so but do you think so should they trade

Derrick Lively if it means adding cakam at an ex extended for five more seasons let me know in the comments but for now my name is fuad Su suan you can catch me on Courtside digest thank you very much for watching peace out

  1. Stein is only with any insight in mavs, and according to him negotiation broke down right away.
And yes, i can see myself say that about lively. And the next few years. 4 months of siakam isnt worth several firsts

  2. Yes they will be really good with Pascal plus the tax savings and warmer climate Pascal will be happy

  3. siakam and poeltl to mavs and its a done deal. raptors dont need jakob and trading both jakob and siakam makes it more likely he stays in dallas as they are best friends.

  4. Pascal has the best low post moves in the NBA..with Luka and Kyrie who would stop that offense.. Plus Pascal plays defense

  5. there's no way in hell we're giving up all that for a 29 year old on an expiring contract, grant and d live are staying, we give them hardaway instead

  6. One of your last points is perhaps the main reason the Mavs have to go hard after Siakam…injuries. They're having a solid season but need to add scoring in case Luka or Kyrie get hurt.

  7. Siakem better than Lively to defend Jokic? Siakem at 6'-8" and light build would be interesting playing post defense against the Joker.

  8. The Mavericks already have a problem with rebounding, they have no one other than Lively, that can be a high quality center. Pascal Siakam is at worst is a one year rental, so it would be dumb to give five young players for him. Three players and the first round selection is plenty. Mavericks should offer Seth Curry, Richaun Holmes and Maxie Kleber. Centers with the talent that Lively will develop into are hard to find in the NBA. They got very lucky that they were able to acquire him with the tenth pick. The direction that the Mavericks are moving towards will most likely mean they will not get a top ten pick again any time soon. You also seem to think that if the Mavericks do not make to the NBA finals this year that Luka will leave. As long as the Mavericks are building a team with as much young talent around him as they can he will stay. Luka's only 25 and he also has already won a championship in Europe so, he knows that doing that takes years of team building and continuous effort to accomplish. Do not confuse Luka with Lebron.
