In Memphis ending in Utah I’m just happy that it’s over with right but um I just don’t like losing but I had to see the bigger picture you know what I mean we ran into after something happened I’m not going to lie to you something happened after we got cheated with the

Lakers it took so much out of us emotionally because it makes you doubt the sanctity of the game you know what I mean it reminds you of that aspect of the game the more corrupt side of it and it just you know going into the Clipper

Game the Clippers won 17 of the last 20 right this is I gotta point this out first the Clippers the Clippers have won 17 of the last 20 if I’m not mistaken and then we’re go we right after them we had to go up against another hot team in the

Utah Jazz who won what 10 of the last 12 to get back to 500 both of these teams had to win a massive amount of games in order for them to just get even get back to where they are right now right which proves that what we have to do as far as

Making a run as possible but we just got caught on the other end of that thing you know what I mean we went from being cheated with the Lakers we played against Steph we were able to beat Steph in Golden State we get cheated by the Lakers that’s two top 75 players then

The next day we have to play against three top 75 players Paul George and Norm right we lose we didn’t have Pascal or yaka perto and with the Lakers we didn’t have yaka perto against the Clippers no yaka perto no Pascal uphill battles instantly two uphill battles

Then we have another uphill battle right after that another hot team in Utah no yaka perto and we know yo they have four they have four Sinners it’s a bunch of tall big bodies you know what I mean that know how to play Utah is a is a is a they should be

Better than what they are as far as the record is concerned they’re a really they’re a good team you know what I mean and we just didn’t have like we had to be a little more effic efficient than what we were like it was going to take a

Little bit it was going to take a breakout performance from somebody and we would have had to Goten off to a really good start like we didn’t get off to a good start like after the first half we were down 17 like the we really didn’t have a lot left especially with

The back to backs and people are you know complaining about you know RJ not having a good game and all this other [ __ ] and I’m like dude he held us down in La something crazy it’s okay if he’s he’s tired fatigue does happen you know what I mean I’m not that

Ridiculous of a fan to not think a person gets tired my thing is to work you know what I mean you you’re going to hit that wall at some point and it’s okay what I care more about is the progress that we’re making the improvements that we’re

Making and the reality that we get to deal with and see every day certain players don’t fit anymore we were saying that before it’s definitely apparent now they got to go you know what I mean and then there’s the conversation of Pascal with February 8th coming up you know

What I mean that thing that people keep you know keep harping on but as a team we’ve made some incredible improvements you know I mean so I can’t really so I can’t really be upset because we’re lost it’s it’s part of the it’s part for the

Since that trade we’re averaging 125 points shooting 53% from the field 41% from three you know I mean 76% from the free throw line 18 fast break points and 59 points in the paint that’s what we’re averaging since the trade since the trade that’s what we’re

Averaging and on this West Coast trip on this Western Conference trip we’re averaging 123 points on the road mind you 52% from the field 42% from three we’re averaging 14 threes a game and and scoring 55 points in the paint on the road so I I don’t that’s the Improvement

I that’s what we were looking for we wanted to see Improvement in three specific areas and if you’re trying to be a little funky and a little bit greedy you say four but we wanted to see if we could score more with the with the Acquisitions and

We have we wanted to shoot better we have we want to shoot better from three we have better free throws we have while maintaining certain realities that we’re accustomed to having with 30 some odd assists a game we’re still second in assist uh 59 55 to 59 points in the

Paint we’re still top tiering that fad break points still top tiering that like we wanted to keep those things defensively we got it’s that’s effort and and experience we have a lot to learn defensively but I believe positions once certain positions are filled by competent players were good

From starters to the bench we need one more Center of course uh J Porter is a great addition I like him as a stretch big you know I mean I might do a video on him today I have it already I have the information already lined up already

I was going to do it yesterday but I think I might put that out today or tomorrow but I like him as a stretch big and um getting Kelly oen is is is also a plus but I would like for us to like everyone wants to trade somebody for

That one I say you know give them Chris they those contracts line up his contract and Chris’s contract line up give them Chris send them Chris he’s making 13 Kelly oen is making you know 12 Kelly oen is a better player he gives us exactly what we need you know what I

Looked really good and like we didn’t need somebody then it would be a harder conversation to have cuz he he might not want us to have that player but I think we lost and you know he might put him he might be drunk with power and make the

Decision that we need him to make so for the greater good it may be a chess piece I don’t know I’m just saying I don’t know but I’m H I’m happy and I’m grateful that we made improvements nonetheless but uh as with what we have

You know what I mean we got RJ Barrett who’s averaging almost 22 a game almost seven rebounds three assists shooting 59 % from the field 53% from three 76% from the free throw line we can’t ask for more than that then we got quick Emanuel quickley who’s he’s our Tyrese Maxi type

Of player what we’ve been wait we’ve been wanting that player for years we finally got him and people is now they trying to throw s you you better hope he want to stay [ __ ] he ain’t going nowhere else he’s a he’s going to be the man here there’s no

Other team that’s going to let him be the man the way we are allowing him to be man listen go ahead that boy going to sign with us that’s a fact point the point guard if I’m someplace where they treat me like I’m the man and I’m

Running the show and then I’m not going nowhere for listen I’m not going nowhere where I’m all these other teams already have starting point guards he will still have to compete he will still have to play behind the higher paid guy here he’s the guy he’s

Our Point there’s no one better he has the spot he’s averaging 19 points five rebounds six assists shooting 46% from three 84% from the free throw line why would he want to give this up why why would you want to give that up for anybody just because just just to have

Just because just to say I play for no just to say I play for who cuz he’s gonna he doesn’t want to be a backup he’s having a chance to be a starting star point guard no point guard who in their right mind in the history has ever

Given up that type of position for any amount of money y’all can say whatever y’all want there has been [ __ ] that will be the exception to the rule if one thing us as point guards love we love being someplace where we deemed this that man the starting point

Guard that’s your dream to find a home where you’re accepted as the starter not only by the coach by the players and the fans that watch [ __ ] gonna give that up for what we’re going to offer you the same amount of money they’re not going to

Overpay for you cuz they don’t plan on giving you the same opportunity that they’re going to give you the money according to the opportunity that they’re going to give you just like we are we’re going to give you starter money nothing crazy but starter money because we are we have improved

And we’re going to continue to improve with him in our lineup we look more aggressive as a team we look more hungry and obsessed to win as a team we were worn out I’m not going this trip You’ seen guys look fatigued it’s okay we just now we we had these

Emotional HIDs and and and came crashing down and it wears down on you and it’s okay now we we’re getting into we’re passing the honeymoon phase of it all and we’re getting into the competition into the chaos we eight games you know out of 500 we can clean that up we can

Definitely clean that up we win six out of what seven out of 10 here seven out of 10 here seven out of 10 there keep piecing it together it’s not going to be easy but in order for us to get where we’re trying to go we have to figure it

Out February 8th is on the way we got the that trade deadline coming we’ll be able to acquire something that’s going to make us better you know what I mean right now at 123 points a game you know since that you know on this on this road

Trip and overall getting back to the 100 over 120 points which is what what Nick nurse wanted from this team in the first place to get to be able to score over 120 points now that we’re there and we’re shooting a higher clip from three almost 8% higher which is magnificent

We’re damn near the same group of guys we’re finally getting proper Point production offensively you know what I mean we’re applying the the right amount of offensive pressure like everyone is to notice that either you got to man up but you going to get ran right through

We we’re we’re prepared we are prepared to put up as many points as we can and if we can run it up we will you better stop us you better you better take up space and take away angles and be able to contest that’s one thing that Utah

Was able to do they’re tall enough and long enough to contest all of our shots no matter how much of a edge that we have in spacing and what speed will provide us with or even just boxing out they have enough length to to to recover

And that’s one thing that they they made it they they they they contested our shots you know what I mean and it’s we we’re so used to getting Great Looks cuz we we’re shooting 52% from the field on this road trip right so we’re we’re getting some real good looks off the

Dribble in the paint around the three-point line in the perimeter we’re getting some really good looks and if we could finish some of those chippies around the basket we’ll be at about 60% easily you know what I mean and we just have to be prepared to

Finish those plays because a lot that WI closes very quickly the better the team the faster the window of opportunity closes you know what I mean and Utah was able to contest and I think it’s a m that game last night was a matchup issue

It was the the game of styles and they were better prepared some teams just are better prepared to compete against you and they are a great team uh uh when it comes to pairing up with us because they they are able to recover they’re more physical they they

Weigh a little bit more they have a lot more size and and it’s they they’re definitely built for that matchup you know what I mean so we would have had to have done a lot more as far as production you know what I mean against them it it would have took more than

Being mentally tough it would have took some type of talent and skill sets and ability to execute with this new found level of shot contesting that they’re able to provide you know their defense with the fact that we we’re able to hit threes now you know and this road trip

Showed me that we we’re hitting 14 threes we’re shooting 42% from three I like the fact we’re able to take advantage of a lot of those looks that we’ve been getting for the last two or three years like we’ve been getting some great looks for the last few years man

It’s not like all of a sudden we getting these looks and life was tougher no we’ve been getting looks [ __ ] just ain’t been able to hit shots now we’re able to hit shots and the pressure is on guys to either keep up with what we’re doing or you got to Skid

Outle you know what I mean it’s great that we’re starting to cash in on the on these shooting opportunities especially from three because it makes life easier for everything else to to occur and be and be utilized I’m just like we don’t have time for guys who can’t hit shots

It’s your job to be to have certain fundamentals mastered at a professional level you know what I mean if you don’t have we got to find somebody if you ain’t got it we got to find somebody that has you know what I mean it it’s it’s about the habits a lot of guys

Don’t have those habits that that are necessary for them to accomplish certain things that we need them to accomplish at the level we need them to accomplish it you know what I mean like I said they want to give us that that little that they want to give us in exchange for the

Maximum that we have to offer financially and that’s not good enough anymore because we have two guys that just came in that is showing that this showing us what we exact what what the better that we wanted actually looks like you know what I mean we’re still

Getting the points in the paint and I on this Western Conference trip the 55 points in the paint that we averaged overall it was just beautiful to see us punishing these teams on the West Conference in the post and they had you know supposed better bigs than we got in

Yaka perto but with still getting the same magnificent production uh even though we didn’t have Yak against you know against uh the Utah Jazz and for the clippers but we were still able with Yak with Yak we were able to get 62% in the paint versus Sacramento 66 points in

The paint against Golden State 70 points in the paint against the Lakers and 58 points in the paint without yak and [ __ ] Pascal against the Clippers these teams aren’t like a lot of these teams aren’t as good as they see but we can’t make as many mistakes as we make because we’re

Giv them too many opportunities to close that door on us and win the game you know what I mean we just need guys who are a little who are a little bit better than what we have you know what I mean but that that’s why I hang my hat on the

Progress I understand that we all want to win but before you can even get to the winning there has to be progress being made there has to be a certain level of daily achievement you have to win every day there has to be certain experience had before you can even get

To the experience of winning in preparation you know I mean before you can win in games you know I mean it makes no sense to have this blind juvenile effort and energy with no real matured skill sets attached to them to be you know perfected to be utilized and

Leveraged along with that energy energy by itself means nothing it’s great to have magnificent to have but it’s even better when you have a a source for the energy to flow through things that the energy could could energize that can be used you know what I mean a toaster is

Nothing until you plug it up the energy that’s flowing through your walls had just waiting to be utilized in the appliance is neither one has use for E for any of us until until they’re connected and if you don’t have any skill sets or purpose connected to the

Energy the energy is just there floating around you know until its lifespan is done but we got guys who are complacent with what they do and think it’s enough and we’ve seen parts of the games where certain guys being on the court still hurt us and we still can’t understand

How the [ __ ] are you still in the NBA how how are you still on this team we need more like we need we need professional a professional level of production we can’t continue to make juvenile mistakes against the Lakers against Golden State against the Clippers against Sacramento against the

Jazz if we’re going to make mistakes it has to be professional mistakes where they apply where they applied professional pressure and that became a part of the E and Flor of the game not us making juvenile mistakes unpressurized un unbothered just making bad choices and you know bonehead plays

You know mean whether in defense or offense with the ball and without you know what I mean we need guys who are ready to take advantage of the opportunity to be a professional basketball player and perform at this level and help us get where we’re trying

To go with the least amount of mistakes that a team could take advantage of that will hurt us you know whether down the line or in that moment so February 8th can’t come f fast enough for me when it comes to certain players but the progress that we’ve made so far as a

Team you know we’re better than we were before you know mean and we’re getting better every game as long as we keep you know elevating and evaluating ourselves and continuously working you know what I mean and keep putting in better grades of professional basketball players into

What uh coach dco is trying to do you know what I mean because some guys just don’t have an NBA level of competence and execution and and fundamental to you know be a part of this team any further you know what I mean so it is

What it is guys got an opportunity you can’t say Messiah and give guys a chance they got the opportunity they did what they could with it sometimes it just don’t work out but we got to find somebody that’s able to do those jobs come off the bench to give us quality

Minutes quality production you know quality uh quality preparation to give us Pro like quality you know production you know what I mean you there’s no way that you you can say guys are working and certain mistakes are being made at a professional level those are amateur level mistakes that we see on most

Nights from certain guys so you know I’m I’m good with the journey you know what I mean I’m taking a good with the bad but I’m acknowledging the fact that we have made progress despite the fact that the losses are harder and tougher for us to

Come by on this road trip it could we like in my eyes we should have been at least 4- two we should have been four- two on this road trip you know what I mean four and two in the West in the west coast you know what I mean 4 and

Two but you know things happen and the value of yaka is being shown and I think that’s that’s important because we we sit up here and we and and what I mean we I mean mostly some of y’all because I’m I like yaka Perle you know what I

Mean I always felt like he I like I like having him as a center I would love for him to finish around the rim a little better he always tries to finger roll as opposed to just shooting the ball off the glass he can work on that you know

Give us a little more Tim Duncan he can be a Tim Duncan esque type of fundamental you know pillar to rely on some people just simply didn’t believe him at all you know I mean just didn’t like him as a sin at all wanted to stretch big say he’s in the way and

They try to you know lowkey make it seem like he’s ins insignificant and he’s in the way and now we had a chance to see as a whole what it’s like with him not even being here period it’s even worse without him on the court you know I mean

He you see how valuable this guy is mind you you know he’s not being fed enough you know what I mean but we understand that he has some inadequacies in his game where he needs to be a better free throw shooter you know what I mean he needs a better I don’t like

The fact that he pushes the ball instead of shooting the ball in the paint that’s something that he needs to work on for real like that’s crazy he should he should be a better finisher you know what I mean than what he is you know

When he’s able to get the ball it should be more of a flick of the wrist than him pushing it but it might be because his hands are massive and the basketball is so small but either way you have professionals there to work that out it

Should be worked out you know what I mean it’s it’s correctable is what I’m saying but we we got a chance to see how significant he is and how different it is not to even have him so now we definitely need a backup Senter because we don’t know Christian when Christian

Koko is coming back he’s probably out for the full season which puts a damper on the possibilities of him ever being healthy enough to play at the NBA level let alone give us what we need him to give us you know what I mean so we got to find another centner and possibly

Another centner after that you know what I mean so but I I just I’m happy that we had a chance to see certain realities and take certain certain things into consideration you know I mean realistically you know I mean everyone is so quick to say you know they want to

Get rid of Pascal for young pieces or whatever imaginary pieces that are the equivalent we’re going to talk about that later as well but there’s he’s hard to replace to we like is very hard we going to have that discussion later but we’ve made some we’ve made some progress most

Importantly but we just don’t want to get too far disconnected from the reality of what our situation is is we have to start making progress one step at a time and we’re we’re going to get to the winning but we don’t want to skip any steps getting to the winning because

That’ll result in losses so it’s not a you don’t want you want to take your time and go through this situation the right way skipping no steps dodging no obstacles dealing with all adversity along the way so that you can be as strong as you possibly can when it’s

Time to go on that the next phase right now this is the phase of where we are we got to master this situation before we can move on to next I know we don’t like losing but we got to accept it as part of this this part of the journey realistically

So I’m just happy that we had a a good like those West Coast numbers look good we didn’t get the wins for whatever there’s there’s reasons for that we ran into two hot ass teams back to back we got cheated by the Lakers we went up against five top 75

Players f [ __ ] two finals MVPs Paul Joy [ __ ] norm and then we had to go see the hot [ __ ] Utah Jazz like come on B like really like like that’s a lot that’s a lot within a 4 Day within a 4 day span we saw we went up against that

Which I just labeled and just named like that’s a lot without yaka perto for two of those games and without Pascal for one of those games and he got hurt in the Laker game he got low bridge he got cut going to the basket like come on now like

It’s you got to you got to look at this [ __ ] realistically like all right cool man I can’t even get mad cuz you okay but this this thing that we’re going through is definitely going to have a silver lining cuz it’s it’s put us in a

P a space of teams look at us is like oh you’re good you’re Le you’re still eight games below 500 they’re more likely to do a deal with us now because we’re not a real threat to what they’re trying to do this season they’ll worry about next

Year and year after next when they can but we’re more likely to get another piece that we actually need because we don’t look like we’re a real threat like they know we’re on the verge of going on some type of run but when the timing of

It and how perfect the the runs like the timing of the runs and how much time is left over and how many games we could accumulate In Those runs and they know it’s a likely chance we might not be in position to get in their way this year

They’ll deal with the future later but right now there’s a lot of contractual conversations going into this summer that’s why certain guys Kawhi ly just got 150 you know what I mean then they still have to talk about poor George and I think James Harden also is in a year

Where he needs some money like so it’s it’s a lot of you know guys looking for contracts this free agency is supposed to be a deep one right but some teams are trying to sign their guys as soon as possible hopefully we can strike a deal

With with Pascal um as soon as possible before the trade deadline but um we’re just putting ourselves in a space where we’re not any we we don’t want to appear like we we’re making we’re making waves and we’re making progress but we want to still be under

The radar a little bit enough to have them not be afraid to make those to give us those pieces like they’ll give us it and then you’ll realize you [ __ ] up later but they’ll rather deal with the I messed up later than now you know what I mean

They’ll deal with that when it comes but right now this season they can go to the playoffs do whatever they want to do we might not be in their way so especially the West Coast teams they wouldn’t mind you know I mean but we know somebody

Wants Pascal you know what I mean and they’re not going to we know they’re not going to do a fair so that’s out the question and we we know he they all know he’s not going to stay so that kind of takes away from that so you know the G

Money you know the Thad young um a porter um Chris bue are options that we could you know we could pack is to get something that we need that’s why I say Kelly oen and Chris bue even swap you know what I mean so we just have to you

Know we we need a center we need we definitely need a backup center to yaka perto hopefully someone who can stretch the floor I think Kelly o is perfect for us you know what I mean just got to see how it works out but um I wouldn’t be

Too stressed out about the loss man we ran into some like when you really look at it we ran into two hot teams three teams that all three of those teams needed those wins just as much as we did and they were at home so you know it’s

Going to be home cooking it’s going to be home finessing I like I’m like okay I’m over it already like once I had a chance to really look at I’m like yeah just we’re in they’re in the same position pretty much that we’re in where

We need every win and that’s what I was saying to the Houston Rocket fans before we even got to this point the season doesn’t start till Christmas and the Western Conference was is so tightly wound they’re going to be playing with such a serious tone that hey it’s gonna be

Interesting there ain’t gonna be a lot of wins we might be able to catch Houston to be honest with you we might end up with more wins than them after all even with them have they only got [ __ ] three more wins than we do have anyway [ __ ] three more wins you know

What I mean maybe four right now oh yeah four four more wins cuz they just be uh Detroit [ __ ] couldn’t finish the deal I was more annoyed about Detroit not beating Houston than I was about us losing to the Jazz
